When I entered the bright and breezy storefront, I was greeted and made sure I knew where to go right away. After I found the section I was looking for, staff promptly gave me space to make my decision. I felt free of pressure and took my time looking around. There was a lot of selection and you could smell and view the flowers on the "Flower Wall." I really love how they show where the farms are and value partnerships with farms. They offered a lot of variety beyond flower, concentrate and edibles. There was fancy cannabis face cream and THC and CBD bath bombs. Very well organized and clean. They had 1g, 4g and 7g for sale. Not sure if I saw anything larger than that. GOOD QUALITY! Prices seemed reasonable and really appreciate that if you're not happy with the product, bring it back and they'll replace it. A friend of mine took me to Solful last Friday, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've been going to dispensaries back when you needed a medical card to go. So I feel like I've visited quite a few shops, large and small-- Planet 13 in Vegas, High Times in Oakland to small local shops in California. My experience has been that most shops cater to a median level connoisseur very well, and are excellent at first time or new cannabis users. When you are a more experienced user who knows what they want and how different strains and chemicals affect your own body, you don't want to be greeted with the basic "do you like indica or sativa" question-- it's easier if you just get left alone to browse. You crave a budtender who can talk science, nuances and effects on a really deep level. Soulful was the very first dispensary I've visited where one of the staff had a science/pre-med background. I had an INCREDIBLE conversation with Landry (to the point where I felt like I was bugging him) and completely got my geek on. He only works Fridays, but I will make the drive into the city for his recommendations. I have never had someone talk to me as in-depth as he did. I've spent hours on Leafly, researching strain effects, cannabinoids, and terpenes before hitting a shop. Landry is the one person so far who I felt completely understood how I needed to be guided and I was floored by his expertise. Being able to talk about cannabis at the science level is priceless. I wound up spending $75 more than I budgeted because of his recommendations, and found a product I absolutely fell in love with. If we are going to change the perception of cannabis and further the science, we need more medical professionals and consultants involved so they can help us target what we truly need to get us to the place we want to be at. Aside from that, Solful's selection was very robust-- solid inventory all around-- with products that are hard to find where I live. The pricing was great, and we took advantage of a couple of discounts. Excellent experience all around. I am a patron of Solful because of the endorsement of Melanie and Craig Johnson and the association between Alpenglow Farms and Solful. Solful is a boutique pharmacy specializing in pharmaceutical grade cannabis medications. Located in the safe, SFPD present, UCSF area, in the commercial district of the Inner Sunset area of San Francisco, Solful is so pleasant to visit for both locals and tourists alike. If you are a cannabis enthusiast from either overseas or a state where cannabis is prohibited, Solful will undoubtedly exceed your needs for pharmaceutical grade cannabis products and it's location in the city offers all the local flavors, shopping, great restaurants and bars, local markets, dessert shops, longtime local businesses, sundries and all the banks for your currency needs. Parking is metered and quite safe as the Sunset District is safe with consistent and visible SFPD presence 24/7. Tourists staying in the city would be best to leave their rental cars in the hotel garage in favor of Lyft or better yet Muni to visit Solful. Arriving at Solful, one is greeted by the amicable security concierge. Prior to entry, best to have your government identification (passport/Driver's license) prepared as it is legally compulsory, by the state of California, in order to access the cannabis pharmacy. Solful has a boutique open floor plan and cannabis specialists who are keen on the pharmaceutical grade cannabis products available. My visit was on a Wednesday afternoon and I was assisted by a Solful cannabis specialist called Myles. Myles was a proactive, service oriented professional who was affable, presentable and respectful. He was very transparent with his competency of the cannabis products and willingly shared his proficiency on the inhalation dispensed devices by the Nasha organization which I specifically came to Solful San Francisco for. Myles demonstrated his expertise as a Solful specialist with his knowledge of Solful's policies and procedures; I had previously signed up for the Solful frequent flyer/reward program my first visit this year and Myles informed me of all the advantages I had available as a member. In fact, I left with a four pack of cannabis sparkling beverage from the Lagunitas HiFi collection thanks to his due diligence and recommendation. The cost of the pharmaceutical grade cannabis medications and products is fair and reasonable and for myself a great value as this Solful location is the closest to me and I am in residence closer to the (831). I am a loyal patron to Alpenglow Farms and their products are quite exclusive so I elect to travel to Solful because for me, there is no substitute. My grievance, if you will, is that I was unhappy that my Solful specialist hadn't the keen expertise on all the Nasha products I was inquiring about. My directive would be to have a best practice as policy. The best practice is that the Solful specialists have immediate access to "in-service" (experience/partake) in the very specific, absolute premium, pharmaceutical grade inhalation medication devices (vapes) as well as the other products, so their knowledge base is indisputably first-hand. I believe Myles, my genteel Solful specialist has integrity and presented his expertise and the expertise of a fellow Solful colleague who had first hand knowledge on the new Nasha inhalation devices. Solful is a boutique pharmacy pas de "dispensaire de cannabis". The Solful specialists cater to not only the knowledgeable Inner Sunset locals, but also to the post-doc educated, professional, healthcare, corporate or entrepreneurial ilk of the Bay Area, thus, Solful 'cannabis specialists' - Ils ne sont PAS simplement des " budtenders ". I'm personally not a big fan of dispensaries that have employees target customers in order to help them. I had one and then another attach themselves to me. Really made me feel smothered and pressured to make a decision quickly just to get out asap. I would recommend that they offer themselves to customer in case they need help but then don't hover. Maybe have less employees out on the floor because the ratio felt off. I like the location and the aesthetics of the place. It's bright and clean. The look of it is what originally drew me in. The products are diverse but generally lean towards the more pricey end. read more

Relatively new dispensary in the Sunset that I came across by accident while I was dining in the area. I love the brightly lit space and product organization. It feels very welcoming! I don't have any issue selection because they carry my brand of choice. As a matter of fact, they introduced me to another brand on one of my visits and now, I switched to this brand. The staff is super helpful with answering my questions and a special shout out to Ken--he was so helpful, friendly and really gave me honest opinions when I asked about comparisons between product A and product B. I'm hoping they are here to stay--they are so much more convenient than going to San Jose or to downtown San Francisco where the dispensaries are not always in ideal locations. read more

The first time I visited Solful, I had an unpleasant experience. The staff were helpful, but, as mentioned in another review, I felt very smothered and targeted as soon as I walked in the door. Made for an uncomfortable experience... However, the last couple of times I've visited, I haven't had this issue--the staff have been chill, welcoming, and approachable. I think Solful has the best flower value and quality; I really do prefer their flower brand in contrast to the many, many brands that are at the bigger dispensaries. I appreciate that their flower strains come in a variety of amounts and you can sample some by just getting a gram while getting your favorites in eighths or bigger amounts. The staff are very helpful and kind; they educated me on topical products since I was experiencing some pain in my hand. I appreciate that the staff are there to assist if you have any questions or just want to learn about products you're curious about and haven't tried yet. Brand aside, their other products are similar to other dispensaries. They have pre-rolls, tinctures and edibles; while the menu is pretty standard to other places, I still recommend the Solful brand in terms of product. Really. It's just that great and their top shelf stuff is really top notch: I really trust their quality control. I highly recommend this dispensary if you're looking for great flower, their other stuff is relative to what you can find just about anywhere else though. Storefront-wise, it's very much a neighborhood store: quaint, the staff are friendly and the organization of the store is approachable. You don't always need to reinvent the wheel and, the Solful dispensary experience is straightforward, no fuss or frills and friendly. Beautiful store, everything is always sparkling clean, aesthetically pleasing, perfectly organized and out in the open for easy browsing. The staff clearly are trained to listen to any concerns and do anything they can to make sure the customer is happy. --Super friendly and knowledgable staff --Great products and brands --Wonderful sales and specials. The "specials" are really the key, as without them sometimes prices seem a bit high...but wait for the sales or buy stuff that is on sale and it's generally a good deal...sometimes an excellent deal!! The one thing I'd change - and this where another Sunset neighborhood dispensary shines - is displaying prices all inclusive of all taxes. This would make it much easier to know the actual cost before going to the register. However this isn't a consistant practice in SF so not holding this against them. read more

Only outdoor NorCal sun grown flower which is awesome. Well organized boutique style selling high quality flower you can see and smell. They have farmers come in occasionally for new strain release to talk with customers. I've been coming here for awhile, and find the staff helpful and friendly, and haven't noticed any big change. I have been waffling on praising this dispensary only because if the word gets out, I think they'd have too many customers, and I wouldn't get my favorite strains. Great shop, cool staff (they're quite helpful if you need it, good knowledge of the strains, etc.), good weed. Solful's Daily Green line (when last I bought this, an 1/8 was $24-25 out the door. YMMV) is what I like to call the house wines. They've got good 1/8s, 1/4s, 1/2s, etc. They do the trick at the right price. That said, their primo brands are worth the step up in price. (Within the last year of so, those prices went down. Shocking! And cool!) I have had blissful smokes with their indicas and I've been able to find favorites. Great location (right near the park ... I like to puff and walk). Good people. Good (AND relatively consistent) selection. Many thumbs up. read more

Stopped by here on my way back from the grocery store to try out edibles for the first time. Was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member with glasses. I can't remember their name but they were so very helpful in explaining everything in a non-intimidating way. They gave me some recommendations and talked me through everything I needed to know. I walked out with 2 tubes of gummies and a lot of good knowledge. Super duper positive experience: the store was super well laid out, the staff was extremely helpful, and prices were not crazy. I think this is best dispensary I've ever been to! I've been waiting for this place to open for a while and it's awesome. Really unique selection, it's hard to find flower with CBD in SF, let alone at a reasonable price, and they had several options. The variety here is unmatched in all different types of product; they've got it all. Friendly employees gave me a nice tour, and the product truly does seem higher quality than other places.
