My friend started with calamari, served on a bed of Asian slaw. The rings were tender and tasty, and nicely complemented by the slaw. The soup du jour was shrimp bisque, which I eagerly ordered. I wish it hadn't been completely pureed, because I like bits of shrimp in it, but it was still excellent, tasting of shrimp, cream, and delicate seasonings. Moving on, he had the meatloaf, and we both liked it. I had the day's special of my favorite fish - halibut. It was perfectly seared, sitting in a pool of browned butter sauce and garnished with pine nuts, all accompanied by tasty spinach and garlic mashed potatoes.
