I go here and Dan does my hair, along with Red. They are both fantastic. DAN IS THE MAN! Another stylist messed up my hair really bad and Dan went through all the steps with me to re-lighten it and strengthen it from the damage. He is so kind and so patient and his prices are very good. He takes his time and explains everything to you and just wants to do what will make you happy! He always plays movies for me that I've never seen and it's always the most fun in there, him and I could talk for hours! I have the best hair dresser ever!! Dan Fritz has been doing my hair for years & years! I like to have fun with my color & switch it up quite often & he has just as much joy as I do from all my drastic changes! He's always very patient with me & is always truthful by letting me know you can't go from black to light blonde in just one visit... the integrity of my hair is ALWAYS most important! I have had the pleasure of having Dan do my hair for years. When I first went to see him, my hair was a disaster! I was on the verge of a Brittney Spears moment and ready to shave it bald. Dan assured me we could get my hair healthy beautiful and shiny! He explained what we needed to do, what products we were going to use and how long it would take. My hair has never been this stunning. I owe it all to him! Aside from being a master at his craft, he makes you feel like friend. Introduces you to other clients that are getting services, asks what he can put on the tv for you. if you're in a bind he will bend over backwards to squeeze you in. His assistant Red is a sweet young lady, always ready to get you a coffee or water or anything else you might need. Time really does fly when you're having fun! My hair is very fine, has natural curl, will not conform to traditional structure and likes to be a little wild and messy. Actually a lot like me. :) I went Wednesday of this week to see Tammy Huffman. Tammy has been my hairdresser since I moved to Las Vegas in 1985. She knows what will work on my hair and what won't. She is an expert colorist and my grays keep her busy. We've tried a lot of different techniques through the years. We've done highlighting, lowlighting, color weaving, highlights in the crown and around the face. Sometimes I just want to try something new. She knows what will freak me out and be too much change and what change I will be thrilled with. I've had my hair short, long and layered. This week I was ready again to try something new. Tammy first took care of the grays and then pulled color through. Then she did a darker color on the bottom say 1/3 of my head. We did a level 6 on the bottom and a 9 on the rest of the head. I totally loved it. It's just a little change. Tammy also did a little texturizing in the crown to lighten up the weight of the hair and allow the hair to move. While I am letting the color set under the dryer, she colored my eyebrows too because, dang it there are grays there too! Tammy and I have a lot of fun together and if I am in the shop you're likely to hear a lot of laughing and joking around. She's a lovely person who really truly cares about you as an individual and also gives the very best service. read more

RUN FAR, FAR AWAY. I seriously just had the nail technician Antoinette try to pull some completely unprofessional and immoral BS on me for the last several hours and i'm not here for it. She confirmed my appointment. Then made some lame excuse and asked me to change the time 30 minutes later. THEN had the audacity to make up some despicable bs story about her mom supposedly being rushed to the hospital and she had to cancel me. So to that I said, let me send some flowers to her. Then Antoinette's story keeps changing. Then all of a sudden her mom "didn't want the flowers i'm sending because I was rude to her daughter" are you kidding me? You are a gross liar, and to make up such a ridiculous story to a client all because you have no sense of professionalism is just despicable. I called the hospital you claimed to be at, and guess what? You aren't there and neither is your "mom" What a way to run a business! Thanks for wasting hours of my day texting back and forth for nothing but a made up story. You're a horrible person, and I wouldn't recommend this business to ANYONE! RUN AWAY!!! read more

I have the best hairstylist on the planet! Her name is Lisa Fritz. I have known her for over 15 years but She has been doing hair for over 25 years. She listens to what I want and puts up with my unrealist expectations and makes appropriate suggestions in a kind manner... I have changed my hair color and styles many times and am never disappointed. When I wanted to go purple She suggested I try a strand in the front first. Good call Lisa! I started having Ariana cut my hair a few years back. Knowing her before knowing she did hair was a plus. I first started visiting her to have my eyebrows waxed. Everytime she would wax them I would get compliments from people. They were nice and even, but now I have waxed them too much that the hair rarely grows in and I only occasionally require my tweezers. Now I just have her do my hair. Two-three years ago I had fairly long hair and I had her shorten it little by little. Two years ago this month she gave me a super cute A-line cut. She used clippers in the back and scissors in the front. I received so many compliments. Now I'm back to letting my hair grow long. The night before I saw her this past January, I had a dream about a sideways braid. Well, she was cutting my hair the day of a friend's wedding so I told her about my dream. She did a great job at creating a braid going down the side of my head. Many compliments once again. Last month I went to Mexico and they put my hair in braids at the beach. I knew it was really damaged, so when I visited her last week, I told her to cut off whatever needed to go, even if it i shorter than I preferred; that's how much I trust her with haircuts. She did take 2" off and such but it still looks cute. I don't want anyone else cutting my hair. I have really curly hair and many people just don't know how to cut curly hair. My only regret is I cannot afford to have my hair colored at the salon. I go to a beauty school for the color, but the cuts I do at Solis. Also the staff all seem super friendly as well and the place is clean and well maintained. read more

One of the most INSULTING treatment of a client ever!!!! Walked in for a blow out, no one greeted receptionist no where to be found. Finally was approached. Reception didnt know what a Brazilian blow out was, two older stylists came by and gave me the "we dont serve your kind" up and down look (and these are women with hairstyled from the 50's being snobby to me!). The reception tells me SURPRISE everyone is busy but ill give you a card. No "lets see how long" nothing, it was more like i should call and MAYBE we van take you. Basically ushering me out! Insulting from a salon which had clearly seen better days. Should be grateful to get clients at all! Unless you are thier friend, walk ins are NOT welcome!! read more

DAN FRITZ IS AMAZING. I have been coming here to see Dan for about 4 years now! He is an absolute miracle worker and will do everything he can to ensure you are confident with your hair. I love coming here to relax and to have a fun time. He will accommodate all of your needs. Because Dan knows I have a crazy schedule he does all he can to make getting my hair done something to look forward to instead of it interfering with my busy life. I've been coming to this salon for years, and have been getting my hair done by Marsha since forever. This is a full service salon and they offer hair, nail and maybe even massage services, but I don't know for sure about the latter. Anyways the salon is always clean and everyone is very friendly. I usually go on Saturdays and it's very busy! I always have an appointment though so I never have to wait. I don't know if they accept walk-ins, so it's best to call and make an appointment first. They have complimentary coffee and cookies at the front desk while you wait to go back. This place is in the strip mall off Rainbow between Sahara and Charleston, behind the Arby's. Parking can be a bit annoying as the spots are usually taken right in front, and some of the spots are directly in front of the drive thru so it's very tight! You have to be careful when backing out! read more

Dan Fritz is extremely unprofessional! If you go to him with a color outside of the normal browns, blonds and reds, he will send you home with the colors to do it yourself. When I asked why it can't be done at the salon (reasons why someone would go to a professional) he will tell you that he does not have to answer that question. Pride won't let him say that he just not good enough to do it. Also, if you are in the mood to attending a Trump rally and hear him bash the US secret services, he is the man for you. The worst part is to see this OLD man rubbing and making it obvious that he is sleeping with his assistant that is barely 21. So disgusting and gross, get a room! read more

My last review was removed because I apparently got a little too descriptive with it. Lets shorted it up, the salon its self is great, no issues with other services or employees. Seeing Dan became a bothersome chore though. It became extremely uncomfortable to sit and watch the overly friendly nature of his relationship with his assistant, and the very graphic and intimate movies he showed on his tv was over the top. He lets his assistant do all of his work, even when I expressed not wanting her to touch me. I went from enjoying my time there and over looking quirks, to being very uncomfortable, a little insulted and very unhappy with my results. Nancy Tina will message and harass you if you leave a review she doesnt like or agree with. I dont know who she is, but I already got my message from her, and apparently Im not the only one. Not only can you not feel comfortable in his chair, but you cant feel safe and secure leaving a review either. read more
