Great food, great service and very cute restaurant! We sat in the private room and it was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 2 babies!

Drink and wine menus cover all the bases.

We got tickets for the Pre Fixe dinner to celebrate a couple of June birthdays and what an experience! Every dish presented beautifully and such delicious fresh flavors using lots of local ly grown products. Follow along the posted menu for each photo and you will get the full descriptions. The ambiance is so welcoming and cozy for intimate couples, groups and just friends catching up at the bar seating! A notch above service from the owners to every staff member. I am hooked and can't wait to go back for a delightfully new experience! Check their website and get your tickets early!!

We had an amazing dinner at Solo Farm and Table for a friends birthday. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the food was excellent, and the wine and drink list was well-curated. I highly recommend it!"

Have you heard this before? Why do these Farm to Table restaurants insist on being too creative? They use too many ingredients per undersized portioned dish, and we left hungry. Plus the food was over priced, just not that good and was underwhelming and could not meet the hype. I will start with my appetizer of Lamb Merguez which had the smallest pieces of lamb sausage I have ever seen, plus unrecognizable roasted squash, a tomato sauce, 2-1/8 teaspoons of ricotta cheese squirts and then a poached egg. I don't get it, it seemed like like just keep adding ingredients and see if it comes together. And guess what, it didn't work. Why not make one round well seasoned and grilled chopped lamb patty and then stack the ingredients one on top of the other so they can be better tasted and be recognized? Now in fairness, my Wife's pork croquettes appetizer was crunchy and good, and when the bread was finally served, it was hot and came with a very good homemade butter. Now if you look at my main course called Amlaw Family Farm Pork Pozole, I was clearly served an improperly undercooked almost raw pink piece of pork. Isn't anyone checking the dishes before they go out to the customer? The pork was also served again with too many ingredients that just don't gel together including a lime chili broth, something called pole beans, cilantro, corn, squash......It goes on and on. Not good. How about a properly cooked pork loin over creamy polenta, or with roasted potatoes, really it's not that hard. Now 2 table mates of mine had the seared duck breast served with undercooked and burnt arroz brut... The waitress said that's how we do it, I said well you do it wrong it's burnt and inedible. My wife's bucatini all amateiciana pasta was boring as hell, the pasta was not al dente, and couldn't compete with the pasta from my local pizzeria. And why can't any of the main courses come out hot in temperature? Now I know I am being critical, but come on, for those prices in Vermont I expected a dining experience to remember, not one to forget. I will never go back.

I loved this place. Its super cute. The staff is friendly. We got a private room for a large group. The orchiette was amazzzzzzzzing. There was this crunch to it that was so good. Ramen was good as well but obviously I have had better. Oysters were good. I loved the ambience .

I went here with a friend who owns a ski house in Ludlow (about 18 miles from SoLo). He highly recommended we go here. At first, I thought maybe we were going a little out of our way, but once we arrived, I knew immediately it was worth the effort. The place looks like a home, which automatically made me feel like I was AT home. Very cozy and quaint. We started with cocktails at the bar ($12 each). I went with the Smoky Nor'easter (Maker's Mark Bourbon, Sugar Bob's Smoked Maple Syrup and Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice). Delicious. My buddy got the Lemongrass Gimlet (Barr Hill Gin, Lime and Lemon and Lime Juices with Fresh Lemongrass). I'm not a gin person, but let me tell you ... this was bagin'! I'm not big on having a huge ball of ice rolling around in my cocktails, but that minor distraction was offset by the high quality of the booze and meticulous preparation by the bartender. After the Smoky Nor'easter, I had her sling me a sidecar, which I can honestly say stood up to my regular happy hour spot which makes the best sidecar I've ever had. Onto dinner ... The complimentary sourdough bread with homemade butter was enough to set the tone for just how good the food was going to be here. We loved the Daily Selection of Oysters on the Half Shell ($3.5 per piece / $18 half dozen / $30 Dozen) so much, that we had to order another half dozen on top of the first half dozen. They served them with brown salt and ground horseradish, which won my heart. In typical fashion, my buddy couldn't just stop at two orders of the same appetizer so he had to order two more appetizers. On top of the oysters, we got the Tasting of House Made Charcuterie (Paired with Accompaniments and Garnishes with Earth Sky Time Bread, $16). I loved the liver, the pâté, the ground mustard, and the chutney, but perhaps nothing stood out more on this dish than the duck prosciutto. It was the first time I had ever had it, and it certainly won't be the last. Appetizer #3 (or 4, depending on how you're counting those oysters) ... House Made Burrata (Cold Smoked and Cured Sablefish, Citrus and an Everything Cracker with a Scallion Pesto, $16). Incredible. That is all I can say. Onto the entree round. I couldn't resist the Wannabea Farm Rabbit (Applewood Smoked Bacon, Celeriac-Apple Puéeand Braised Cabbage with Dill Spaetzle, $32). Rabbit is one of the toughest dishes to execute. Chef Wesley Genovart and his kitchen staff nailed it. The combination of flavors was impeccable. My buddy got the Daily Preperation of Woodcock Farm Spring Lamb (Stewed Yoder Farm's Hutterite Beans, Housemade Merguez Sausage, Pomegranate Seeds, and Spiced Carrots with Woodcock Farm's Feta Cheese, $34). While very good, he conceded he liked my rabbit more. I told him he should have listened to me. Think we've had enough? Not quite ... Here comes dessert. We opted for the bread pudding ($10) and the assortment of ice cream ($3.75). The presentation of the bread pudding (served in chunks) was unlike anything I've seen or had, but was good nevertheless. The chocolate and banana ice creams were outstanding, though the vanilla was sadly tasteless. That said, I can't complain. They brought us a complimentary pot de crème. Very good, but very citrus-y and something I would have expected to get in maybe Florida or California, but not Vermont. Everyone here - from the hostess, to the bartender, to the servers, to the owners - was so friendly. Then again, I do live in New Jersey, so maybe I just forgot how nice people could be! Kudos to Chef Genovart and his wife for starting and maintaining this first-class establishment. It's definitely worth your time and money to pay this couple a visit!

The oysters were great and had high hopes. However, the rest was mediocre and small portions. It was an okay experience overall.

Having visited Silver Fork in Manchester on a number of occasions over the years, I finally…read morerealized I've never written a review. Well, now is the time. We re-visited the restaurant recently for our 40th wedding anniversary, and I think it's only fitting to offer a view on what is best described as a bastion of excellence and gracious dining in Manchester village, Vermont. Situated in a refurbished former library building, the Silver Fork's setting, decor, and dining experience is indeed textbook flawless. Inside the upscale eatery evokes mid-century Moderne, a setting for the once popular Madmen TV period drama series; tony, chic, but hardly ostentatious and overbearing. On the contrary the high ceilings, lighting and space combine to offer that frozen glimpse of earlier elegance but alongside very contemporary culinary offerings. Table spacing accentuates a good use of space. We started with a "Rubies are Forever" Pomegranate cocktail with Pomegranate boba. The menu is large but not overbearing; a good mix of meats, legumes and fish. Equally the starters are enticing. French Onion soup is amazing but on this occasion we both chose the Duck egg roll with a special peanut sauce. Simply extraordinary and with generous duck portions. For an entree, my wife chose Mahi Mahi Fish, beautifully prepared over plantain. Despite being tempted by a brisket with horseradish sauce, the evening special, I chose the Ratatouille. Why? Prepared properly, this is often hard to find. The Chef's presentation of the southern French staple, was beautifully interpreted, accompanied with some goat cheese. We accompanied our meal with a glasses of red wine. For desert we shared the incomparable Caribbean Bread Pudding which is always a hit here. Allow to me to say our server Lynn showed a genuine experience both in the menu and wine list along with a pleasant disposition. We equally had the opportunity to chat with Melody the co-owner who, along with her husband Chef Mark, described their culinary Odyssey before coming to Vermont years ago to establish Silver Fork. Silver Fork presents a genuine chef-prepared culinary experience both in terms of cuisine as well as ambiance and flawless service. We'll be back!

Indeed, this is a big gallery (with a restaurant inside it) so its great for browsing, particularly if you're waiting for your meals. Food is fresh and very good. Had a miso soup while others had a potato/celery soup too. And a mushroom pasta dish to start was also tasty. For main dishes, the salmon was well done with an ample portion. On the negative: The service was haphazard on a busy Saturday night. Go on a weeknight when it is less crowded. They didn't fill out water glasses and seemed to disappear for stretches of time. Also, the "frites" on the steak au frites dish were cold and a plain pasta was a little al dente. Also, the place lacks air conditioning which is 95% fine in Vermont, except on that really warm day. Which was the day we were there. (I should note that our dinner companions had been there on the prior Thursday and said the experience then was spectacular, so the kitchen could've been a bit off on a dish or two). But overall, we had a very pleasant experience and one of the better restaurants in the South Central area. A definite place to go if you're looking for a night out..

So to save someone some grief after driving long distances to dine here and be turned away...you've been warned, you will not find this information on their website either. I checked! We didn't go on a busy night, there was only 5 tables seated and the place was otherwise empty. The attitude that we encountered being told we cannot be accommodated that night would not be something tolerable in the hospitality business and we're glad we didn't spend any money here. We could have easily made reservations for next time if the guy did not let out a god awful sigh like we were I interrupting something. I'm sure the food would have been good, but the service we received was absolutely terrible.

Upper Pass is a very nice ski lodge with a nice Vermont feel. The room was spacious and clean and in addition to the main bedroom there was a smaller bedroom with bunk beds and a sink. The decor was nice without being overbearing. Plenty of room, good TV, a desk and couple of comfortable beds. The bathroom was fine with a good shower. There was a small coffee maker in the room and they also stocked the room with some breakfast bars. The rooms do not have a refrigerator or microwave. In the lobby of the lodge is the Red Slate restaurant and bar which are not open on Monday or Tuesday. There is also a nice living room with a fireplace, couches and lots of games. Upper Pass Lodge is an excellent option if you are looking to stay in the Londonderry area. The lodge is welcoming and friendly, it has a great feel as an independent hotel, plus on the times I have stayed it has offered outstanding value for lodging on a Vermont ski trip. Arrived at approximately 7:30 PM, looked like all the tables were occupied but found a seat at the bar. The live music was LOUD. The bar was hopping, bartender was right there - with 'what can I get ya?' - Malbec & a menu...no we don't have it...ok, I'll take the Pino noir & took a few minutes to peruse the menu. The vino arrived very quickly & I was ready to order. ordered New England Clam Chowdha & Chicken Pot Stickers. My chowder arrived at 7:57 according to the photo. Chowdha - ok, more potatoes then clams, flavor was ok and then I waited for the pot stickers...& waited...& waited......at some point another bartender approached and asked if I need a refill on the vino. I said no, but were are my pot stickers? I've been waiting for 45 minutes, are they driving to Chinatown, I said...sorry I'll go and check as she sailed into the kitchen sunset never to return. The original bartender came back asking about a refill, I just shrugged my shoulders and mouthed out POTSTICKERS?...OH, I'll go and check...well at least she returned and refilled my vino. Shortly after, my 6 potstickers arrived in a basket. I try my first one...ok it's deep fried not pan fried but ok, kind or lukewarm on the inside. The dipping sauce was tasty. Ok tried another one, this one is kind of cool on the inside. Took the third one and cracked it open, it's cold & pink on the inside. THIS IS CHICKEN! pink? Called over the bartender and said it's pink on the inside - her response (precious)...they're frozen and pre cooked, NO! I said, they are cold inside & raw...ok she whisked it away...few minutes later another waitress come back with my original basket (re-fried with the split dumpling) & kind of snottily shoves it it front of me and said - sorry it wasn't hot enough for you. The time was 8:59PM. Could not take any photos since my phone died by this time. I must admit, she did take the Potstickers off the tab. Some advice DO NOT ORDER Potstickers!
