I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're looking to rent a vehicle.
The Jeep we was dirty on the inside and did not appear disinfected between uses. The radio didn't turn on. The horn didn't work. Only the right turn signal worked. There were multiple warning lights lit up on the dashboard.
It is simple enough to fill out the paperwork for a rental, however the contract is in Spanish only. The person renting the vehicle offered insurance plans and checked the gas level. You are responsible for refilling the vehicle to the level that it was at upon returning it. I believe the total cost of the rental was $120 USD.
They also provide a map that outlines some tourist destinations, one location in particular that is "off-road." Not having access to a Jeep at home, we decided that it would be fun to go down the off road section which was a dirt road with mud puddles and deep gulleys. The Jeep became muddy, but was not damaged.
As we were pulling into the parking lot, we were receiving horrible looks from the staff at the rental company which I assume was due to the mud on the vehicle. We added a full tank of gasoline to the vehicle before returning it (keep in mind we received it at 3/4).
The company, who I assumed should be washing the vehicles between customers, charged us a $20 fee to "tip the guy who washes it" which was never part of the rental agreement. read more
