I initially did not…read morehave high expectations for how it would go because it took a few minutes for anyone to come to the host stand, and when they did, they said they had gotten "a little busy" (despite the place not appearing anywhere near full) and suggested I sit at the bar for better service. So I did, and it was very smooth from there. My bartender was excellent, attentive and warm but not at all overbearing. Food didn't take too long either. I think I was in and out with a drink, entree, and dessert within an hour. I got the Overhead Light cocktail to drink (Beefeater gin, crème de violette, maraschino liqueur). I usually get beer when I drink but this cocktail sounded good, and I did not regret my choice. Very floral and very strong. I had the grilled salmon entree and cheesecake chimichanga for dessert. I really liked the sweet chili glaze on the salmon. Everything was cooked well. The dish as a whole could have used more seasoning, but it was easily redeemable with some black pepper. The rice pilaf was more flavorful than it looked - it tasted like there was parmesan cheese in there which made it pleasantly creamy. The cheesecake chimichanga was also great. It looks expensive, but it is a large portion that would be ideal to share even if I did manage to clear the plate by myself. I loved the crispy wraps with the cream cheese and strawberry sauce inside, and it actually wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet. Prices seem to run a little high. I thought the price for my entree was fair, and other entrees seemed to also be reasonably priced for what they were, but the drinks and desserts were expensive than expected. It was really loud inside even though the place was only about half full. It didn't help that the Wyndham lobby also had a loud group in it and the sound carried. The place would greatly benefit from some sound panels in the ceiling or on the walls. It's an exposed ceiling and all hard surfaces and sound just bounces around. I wouldn't say the food was anything to write home about and probably wouldn't recommend it if you're local since Indy has plenty of more impressive eateries at this price point, but if you're staying at one of the airport hotels and want somewhere convenient but classy, this might be your place.

Ordered a large matcha with coconut milk. They do have oat milk and almond milk as well--plus one for having dairy free options! I don't think I was charged extra for it either. (Thank you for that!) Their drink prices overall seemed very reasonable, and more affordable than several local coffee shops I've been to recently. I appreciated that! Other non-coffee options I noticed: hot teas, iced tea, chai. The matcha was good, but I kept getting this weird chemical-y smell from my drink? At first I thought it was the lid. Took that off, but still caught the smell whenever I took a sip. I think it was coming from the cup itself, like the inside white part. So when there was a lull, I took it back up to the register and explained because I couldn't drink it. They didn't offer to remake the drink, which I found kind of odd, but they gave me an iced coffee cup and I drank the rest of my thankfully not-too-hot-anymore matcha from it. I don't know what that was about, but it was unfortunate. Ended up moving to a round table in the side room to plug my laptop in after the battery died. It wasn't as "vibey" over there, but it was quieter/easier to focus, I had access to an outlet, and noticed no strange smells on that side, though my drink was gone by then. If you're coming here to talk or hang out, I think it's a good spot! If you're coming to work, I'd recommend having a fully charged laptop, beeline to the side room, and/or watch carefully for the tables near the limited outlets to free up in the main room. Street parking was pretty easy and free. I parked maybe halfway down Main St and walked. There were signs saying 3 hr parking on weekends, so planned my stay accordingly. I'm not usually in this area, so may or may not make it back. But it's definitely a popular spot with a good sized menu.

There were places to stand in the foyer to wait as well, but in my opinion even though there is an open space in the foyer you could be potentially blocking someone's walking space since the ordering station is next to the entrance and the seating areas are in the entryway. I ordered their seasonal From the Past Latte w/ matcha and whole milk. They mentioned that the wait time to receive the drink was 10 minutes, which was understandable with how busy they were, but to my surprise I actually received my drink in half that time. The drink tasted great and if I was still in the area I'd go there again. I definitely noticed for such a small space, the staff were efficient and moved quickly to get everyone their correct orders. All of them were very cordial and professional as well, so that was appreciated.

My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

My aunt and I have made it a point to stop in every-time we're in Indy, and have never been disappointed. I typically stick to their iced chai, which is very refreshing and one of my favorites.
