The food was really good and filling, homemade tortilla chips for the table plus they use the same chips for the chilaquiles, great service and I will definitely come back again, I loved they served their drinks in the clay cups

Unfortunately did not enjoy Sombreros, and thought we'd have another staple to our rotation. First- the individual who took our phone order had a bit of attitude. I had asked about their menu, and their tone was already off-putting. With the phone on speaker, my wife and I both thought the tone was annoyed with the order. Second- the food itself was frankly disappointing. We got tacos, menudo, shrimp cocktail, and taquitos- and they were fairly bland and/or clearly manufactured glop. The menudo tasted canned, and the shrimp cocktail was clearly a pre-made mix with frozen shrimp. I give the business credit for a nice aesthetic and the food packed to go had flowers/generally nice aesthetic. Unfortunately, that is not enough to offset the taste and overall experience.

Posole was very tasty, coffee was delicious but most off all great customer service. They make you want to come back for food and positive experience.

Following a quick online search for highly-rated Mexican food in the area, I decided to give this restaurant a try. Unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. The food lacked basic seasoning; the beans were completely unsalted, and the menudo was particularly underwhelming. It lacked the depth and appearance of authentic, scratch-made menudo, resembling a canned product instead. I regret not reviewing the lower ratings more carefully before visiting, as I will not be returning.

We order the food as the restaurant makes it (no changes or add ons). All the food tastes fresh and good portions. Friendly service and kept making if we needed anything. Was clean and good music playing in the background. Now based on the taste of the beans n rice I can say they're culture fusion because the beans taste like the way Central Americans make their beans. Before leaving, the gentleman that served us asked how was everything ( we did leave some of the food behind)? We said everything was good and that we didn't know how much onions was in it ( we wanted to taste everything the way the make it w no changes). He even offered to redo everything to our liking. Definitely will comeback and try something else.

I was craving soup and found this place! They had amazing pozole and all the spices. Chips and salsa was spicy delicious too. I'm glad we found this place and will definitely try them again. Tacos absolutely delicious . Everyone was very nice and attentive to our needs.

Had a wonderful breakfast with mi novio yesterday morning, made the right choice by chosing to come here on a whim rather than some fast food joint. The ambiance is welcoming and the food was filling! Will come back when we can, thank you for your service you guys!

A carne asada burrito without any MEAT!

Food is terrible! When I told them about my carne asada burrito not having any meat he just looked at my burrito and said it looks fine to me. I took a picture as proof! The burrito is filled with rice that tastes like crap!

    The torta with everything

We're local and were looking for a place to have pozole. This place exceeded our expectations. The food was really good, good flavors, and the cups and plates are so beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Very friendly and made sure we were good the entire time.

    Cheeseburger and fries

Had a great experience. They kept checking on us. I would come back. Food was good. Loved how beautiful the food came out. You get enough on your plate. Really good.

Have u ever seen Menudo this thick and red? It was terrible

This is the worst menudo we have ever seen. I should have read the reviews as someone had said the same thing. I asked for it without hominy and the server did say it cones with it but would take most of it off. Well look at the picture nothing but hominy!! I swear it had like 12 small pieces max of tripe! And it was thick and reddish like no other Menudo I have ever seen! The nachos had chicken that looked like scrambled eggs. Needless to say we left the menudo and won't be coming back ever.

They serve a traditional Mexican open buffet at certain times. The waiting line is expected, but don't feel discouraged because it moves fast. The decor is vibrant enriched with colorful murals. The staff are very welcoming and genuinely warm. The restaurant has cozy and inviting ambience. Outdoor and indoor seating are available. I placed an online order for pickup. It was fast and convenient since I had friends coming for dinner. I ordered the following: - Burrito Panchon 5/5 Stuffed with carnita, beans and rice, served with cream, beans and guacamole. Huge portion! You can choose your protein. - Fajitas Cielo Mar Y Tierra 5/5 Marinated beef, shrimp, chicken. It served with sauteed bell peppers tomatoes and onions, rice, guacamole, beans and pico de gallo. It was smoky, savory and flavorful. - Vegetarian Enchiladas 5/5 Corn tortillas stuffed with bell pepper, corn, onion, carrot, cilantro, squash, and topped with a combination of cream and jack cheese. The portion was enormous. It was a very flavorful and savory. - Carna Asada 5/5 Flap meat marinated with homemade adobo. It served with pico de gallo, rice & guacamole. The meat was juicy and tender. It was such a delicious dish. - Empanadas 5/5 I chose chicken empanadas. It served with salad. The empanadas was crispy from outside and very flavorful. - Ensalada de Nopales 5/5 Diced cactus mixed with tomatoes, onion, lime, and cilantro. - Taquitos 5/5 It was crispy from outside with savory and juicy filling. - Taco de Cameron , taco de Pescado & taco de Birria 5/5 They were savory, juicy and delicious. - Beans 5/5 Topped with melted cheese, really delicious - Large Bionico Bowl 5/5 Fresh fruits like topped strawberries, mango, cantaloupe, banana, papaya, blueberries, apples, pineapple topped with granola and shaved coconut. It was rich, creamy. The fruits were fresh and sweet. It was heavenly! Every box was wrapped with layers of plastic wrap perfectly. I got a bag full of different types of salsa with my order and another bag with tortilla chips. The food portions were very generous. Every dish reflected authenticity and deliciousness. Now the food.... I had the Chon's Breakfast Comal. The chorizo was ok. Lacked quite a bit of flavor. Potatoes tasted kinda like they were boiled and then finished in a sauce, then plated. The bell peppers and onions were fantastic. A lot. But they were cooked well. Over easy eggs were decent, despite one of them being cooked all the way through. Comal was perfect temperature. But insanely greasy (which is expected from chorizo). Rice. Eh... Rice is rice. Wasn't bad. But was all "Oh my goodness this is amazing." Beans tasted like the refried Rosarita's can. Just topped with cheese. The salsa. It was pretty good. The 1st time. Until I found a hair. Then I was given a 2nd one. And when I decided to eat it, it was no good. It was starting to spoil. I realized this once I put it on a bite I was about to take and immediately put it in my food i was about to chew in my napkin. After about 15 minutes when my server finally came by, I told her of the situation. She said "I'll go check." Then disappeared. Someone else gave me the check, and then someone else brought the receipt. The initial server didn't pop up until I was getting up to walk out. So no manager interaction. No "we'll comp your coffee." Just a "Sorry you didn't like it." As I walked out. Ambiance is cool, but some table placement doesn't make sense. That needs to be addressed. Will I come back here? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. But I'm talking like 80 no /20 yea. So I guess we'll see.. So I'm giving this place 1 star. I'm sorry, but this is my opinion based on my 1st experience here. Maybe it'll be better. We'll see....

What an absolute gem of a restaurant…read more As first-time visitors, my wife and I had no idea what to expect when we drove by and decided to stop here for breakfast. First and foremost, the restaurant is very clean, well-maintained, and inviting, with colorful decor and salsa music softly playing in the background. We were also greeted immediately with a "welcome" by two or three female employees. At this point in our visit, I am really loving this place. The full menu is clearly posted behind the front counter, which makes ordering easy. The young lady who took our order was welcoming and friendly. My wife ordered green chilaquiles, and I ordered huevos à la Mexicana with a large horchata and a diet soda. After we placed our orders, we sat at an empty booth, and almost instantly our waitress approached our table with a basket of hot chips dipped in beans, which I had never tried. These chips were AMAZING, as they were fresh, tasty, and the beans made them the perfect way to start our breakfast. Our food arrived at our table in eleven minutes, and everything we ordered looked appealing. After a quick prayer for our food, we had an incredible, fun dining experience. Our dishes were flavorful, filling, and perfectly prepared. Every single item was truly DELICIOUS!! I am a huge fan of beans, and these beans were AMAZING!! The restaurant also offers guests unlimited soft drink refills, iced cold water, and an unlimited salsa bar. They also offer Taco Tuesday and karaoke night, among other weekly fun activities at this restaurant. One thing which really stood out to me was how many customers were dining inside, taking advantage of the outdoor seating area, and/or picking up to-Go orders. This is a very popular restaurant and with good reason. It is AWESOME!! What really impressed me, and I mentioned it to one of the employees, was that as each guest walked out of the restaurant, ALL employees could be heard saying, "Have a great day." The exact words I say to EVERYONE every single day of my life. The positive vibes at the restaurant were overflowing, and my wife and I loved it!! I truly wish to thank employees Amy, Frances, and Jess for making our first visit such a positive experience. This was the first of many future visits we plan to make here for amazing food and good vibes. Thank you!

We got served some good old fashioned chips and salsa, always a favorite. I think I saw a piece of mango floating in it but I could be wrong, as it did not taste sweet. Tasted quite peppery so maybe it was a bell pepper. I have no idea. Salsa did have a different taste than the usual onion, garlic, tomato, cilantro so I'm unsure what they do here. Chips were fine, not hot and fresh but had a nice crunch to them. Most Mexican restaurants I've been to have this similar combination option and I saw their menu had a combo with three items: one enchilada, one chile relleno and one crunchy taco. I thought, awesome, I get to try one of each and see how I like 'em. I normally get a taquito with my meal so I asked the waiter if it was ok to order this combo with a taquito or flauta in place of the crunchy taco. He said no. Not, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience but we don't allow substitutions, thank you for understanding, etc." Just, no. Ok...? Never been to a place that cared much about me subbing a taco for a taquito, unless the plates are preassembled with a crunchy taco, which doesn't make any sense. Thought that was a little off-putting but onward... We ordered the potato taquito appetizer that was listed on their menu. Plate arrives and it's huge - which made sense since it cost $18 - but they were all visibly beef taquitos. I happened to be dining with my vegetarian friend, hence the ordering of potato taquitos, so we kindly informed the waiter that we ordered potato and these were all beef taquitos. Waiter confusingly indicated that these were potato taquitos and we kind of glanced at each other like... uhhh, there's clearly shredded beef in there sticking out, so we pointed it out. Waiter looks again, points to one specific taquito on the plate and says, "Well, that one is potato." The waiter eventually clarified that the taquitos were actually beef with potato. I politely informed him that since my friend is vegetarian and the menu didn't specify beef in the taquitos, we couldn't accept or eat the dish. The waiter was pushy about it and suggested we just take them home and eat the leftovers. Dude no. I ordered potato taquitos and we're only two people, and this was a massive plate of around 15 taquitos. I don't have an air fryer or oven at home, either, so I really have no proper way of reheating and I'm just one person. Either way, none of this was something I felt was worth arguing over. Just take the friggin taquitos back. We sat there uncomfortably for a bit and waited for our main meals to arrive. Got my combo, and it was honestly pretty good. Flavors were fresh and vibrant, even the taco was good although I was bitter it was a half-moon fried piece of tortilla with beef instead of a rolled fried piece of tortilla with beef. :( It's a joke, chill. We finished and the waiter brought out the bill. We quickly left our cards for payment and in clear view for the waiter to pick up so we could leave and digest by walking at the mall or something, but he never came. He walked by a few times, cards were sticking out... still nothing. After 30 minutes, my friend says she thinks we have to pay at the front. Would've been nice to know about 30 minutes ago. Paid at the front, left, and I won't be coming back. Food was actually pretty good but it unfortunately did not outweigh the lack of service and overall experience of eating here. Parking was good, at least.

Jorge came outside multiple times, clearly saw how many people were waiting, and even recorded the crowd on his phone three different times for social media. Knowing the capacity of the restaurant, he could have easily informed everyone that the remaining people in line would likely not get in. Instead, we waited over three hours with no communication. While we were waiting, I repeatedly watched people call Jorge. He would come outside, greet them, and bring them straight inside. I personally saw this happen at least six different times. When it was finally our turn to speak with the host, we were told there were no seats left, that we would have to stand, and that we wouldn't even be able to order food. I confronted Jorge about letting those other groups in ahead of everyone else. His response was that he knew them personally and that they were friends of the restaurant owners. That explanation only made the situation worse. My wife had just finished a 14-hour hospital shift, and we came here hoping to enjoy the game together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting only to be treated as though our time didn't matter. What was most shocking was Jorge's attitude. He literally told me, "They won't do anything to me if you post this. I'm friends with the owner." If that's the mindset of management, it's no surprise customers are treated this way. It truly felt like only friends and family received special treatment while everyone else was left waiting without honesty or respect. I have no issue waiting when things are busy, but I do expect transparency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed none of those qualities.
