Ordered a bean chimichanga take out and when I got home it was filled with meat. Completely inedible. Will never go back.

So I have eaten here or purchased food from here a number of times. Since I only live a mile away it's very convenient. I ate here for the last time this past Friday. Probably 75% of the time there is something seriously wrong with our order and we are not ordering anything complicated. On multiple occasions I've literally had to explain to the person taking orders at the front counter items on their menu. I mostly order via drive through and have been sent to wait in the parking lot 20+ minutes for an order I've realized was wrong or cold because it was sitting forever. Last Friday, my wife and I had a very rare dinner date here. The food was just plain bad. The beans tasted watered down with zero flavor. The pollo fundido (which I've had before at other locations) just plain tasted wrong and bad. There was something wrong with the chicken. I had grown weary of complaining to the staff here so I did not do it at the time. To be so consistently bad over a long period of time is so discouraging and has led to outweighing the convenience of it being close. read more

Meh. The food is ok. Not great. The menu is interesting and to be honest a little hard to figure out. The menu says one thing but the food plates that come out look completely different. I saw things coming out to customers and would think that looks delicious, but then couldn't find anything on the menu that describes it. It seemed like the menu lacked chicken options and had just a lot of beef. It is worth a try if you've never been. read more

Went through the drive thru. They have been busy since they opened so not holding that against them. Food was made to order so appreciate that and it wasn't pricey. If you want cheap and fast do Del Taco or Taco Bell. read more

I want to preface someburros is one of my favorite restaurants but something is up with this location. The pint of guacamole I ordered was turning brown and had a ton of the outside skin from the avocado mixed in it so we had to throw it away. All of the meals were also missing the lettuce and tomatoes that usually come with them. My enchiladas barely had any sauce on them. It seems like poor management at the store. I am hoping they figure it out and we have a better experience next time. read more

Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinarily horrible meal from a singularly unexpected source, Someburros. Bland, odd-tasting chicken enchiladas leaving an aftertaste that can only be described as unpleasant. Mexican pizza... I'll spare you the description. How can one restaurant manage to make a $40 meal for three taste worse than a grade school cafeteria lunch? Someburros figured it out. The food was okay. The margarita was fine. The place is really nice inside and the people working were really nice. My chicken tacos were pretty dry. My wife had a quesadilla that she said was good. My only main complaint is that they had the AC and it was freezing inside the restaurant. No joke, my guess was it was 65 degrees inside. I was here on opening night. Sure things were crazy, staff was new, and as expected service was bad. Many people stormed the building to try the new place for the first time. Which is normal. However, months later, things are much slower and service is still bad. The food is not consistent, cashiers are not very informative and do not move with intention. The line could be made up of two people and the wait to order is still 10 minutes or longer. My son and I ordered the same entree and they looked and tasted different. The margaritas are watered down and flavorless, the horchata is terrible and without flavor, and they seem to always run out of salsa and silverware. I was leaving Frys and saw a huge line across the street for Some Burros so I thought to myself "Damn this must me good." So I order a Carne Asada burrito for 8 dollars which is pretty standard these days. First off the burrito was tiny and second off it was NOT a Carne Asada burrito. Whatever meat that was tasted like hamburger meat with no seasoning. Absolutely disgusting. Just go to Filibertos. This place is awful. read more

So frustrating to get food that we pay for incorrectly. I am saying something now as this has happened before. We ordered a bean and cheese burro and got a shredded beef burro with nothing else in it! Our cheese encilada was cold and hard with very little sauce. We really like this location, they have a drive thru if your kids are being less than pleasing to sit in with. It's also a quick and filling week night meal. Prices are reasonable, 2 people about 30$ which is fair for the food and drinks you get. They have a wide selection of drinks and the chips and salas are amazing. We go for the salsa sometimes lol. My husband likes the Rod burro, gets it almost every time and I switch it up. The cheese enchiladas are pretty bland, the sauce it comes with helps but still they seem almost.... Microwaved? The crispy chicken tacos are amazing, the chimichangas are amazing. Their salads are... salads. The cilantro lime sauce tastes like fruit loops so unless you like that flavor get a different salad dressing. I can't have beans so that definitely took away from the salads but still I would rather spend the 10$ on a plate of meat wrapped in carbs rather than a plate of greens and a tiny bit of meat. Over all we prefer this over Filiberto's, where our orders always wrong or nasty... idk why that places has gone so down hill but Someburros is a much better choice. read more

I went here for my lunch today. Went through drive thru went to my office and it's not my order. I went back now 45 minutes of my lunch is gone and I don't have emotive for them to make my order and get back to my job. They wouldn't give me a receipt that showed a refund because she voided it instead. THIS ISNT HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS, on several levels. I was told so sorry, well that just made everything better. Bad experience and no customer service. We have been to other Someburros before that are AWESOME but this particular location was disappointing. The food is typically pretty consistent at the other locations. We have been to this location 2 times; 1st was REALLY good and the 2nd was a let down. Old rice, very old steak, greasy food and one burrito that was literally only half full? I don't think I've ever rated a restaurant a 1 star but our second experience was so bad due to the quality of the food and REALLY bad customer service. We ordered through the driver thru and got home and literally half of the food was not there. I went back to get the rest of the food so everyone could eat together and they did give us the food back, but they made it seem like it was our fault? No apology after driving all the way back and no recognition that they had made a mistake. I know these are 1st world problems but I expect better because I know they can do better. I do hope they turn things around as this is a good location but they will need to turn it around quick because there are now 5 other competing restaurants in the area with good food and customer service as well. read more

Last night on Christmas Eve, were to pick up our over $300 catering order. When we got there, the doors were locked! The employees seen us out there but would not open the door for over 10 minutes. The manager that worked that night told us that they closed at 6pm and they threw are food away!!! You would think they would of called or something but nope nothing. So she said they would make us new food, and I'm like alright they are trying to make it right. Nope!!!!!! When we got home either they pulled it out of the trash or something because everything was cold but rice and beans! I realize it was Christmas Eve but really why would you throw it away with our calling that person? I hope this makes everyone think before ordering a catering order from this location read more

Our food was delicious! The crispy shredded beef taco was perfectly hot and crispy. I love their chips! Hot and thin and crisp! The bathrooms were spotless also which says a lot about the place. My wife's family has been going to Someburros for her entire life. We were excited they were opening one up closer to us in East Mesa. Initially when they opened, the food was great. However, as time has gone on, the food quality has gone down significantly. The burritos are always undercooked, the beef is not tender or juicy like it usually is at other locations. Really hoping the food quality picks up so we can start going back here, but for now we'll go to the other locations for the foreseeable future read more

The lack of care and food safety is very apparent. The food was stale and Guac was full of the avocado skin. I have ate at multiple other Someburros locations and love the chain but this one is very poorly managed, food was gross and I was genuinely concerned about food poisoning after a few bites and the guac problem mentioned above. Hope the owners get a new manager and sort this location out. read more

Had lunch here and everything was spot on. Clean, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, nice decor and the food was really good. Highly recommended and we will most definitely be back and try their dinner menu along with a margarita or two. read more

I love Someburros but this location must really battle with finding good employees. This is the second time I've done the drive through and they have messed up my order. Do yourself a favor and bite into your food and check it before you leave otherwise you'll probably end up with something not right with your order. read more

Highly disappointed with the tablespoon of dried meat in my tacos - especially with the price I paid. I've been to this location twice but won't be returning. I also ordered a strawberry margarita and it had no alcohol in it - since it was picked up at the drive through I wasn't going back out! read more

2nd time they have messed up our order. I am not sure if the staff preparing the meals are paying attention to the special orders. This time they messed up on all three meals so my husband took the food back. The cheese crisp is not worth the money as it is a tortilla with small amount of cheese on it. read more

Traditional Mexican food ruined by trying to make it American. Burritos are mostly beans and rice instead of the protein that you wanted. The plate includes more beans and rice and even some lettuce and tomatoes that should never be in a burrito. We also got a taco and asked for no cilantro and of course it came with cilantro. We finally decided to try this for takeout on Signal Butte. To our pleasant surprise, it was very good. Much better than we ever expected. The green chili burro had the perfect spice to it and my husband thought the red was very good. The only downfall is the tortilla on the burros is way too thick! In fact, we cut some of it off. This much tortilla should be very thin. I had 2 fish tacos and ordered the "crispy" - they were not. However, they were good. The fish was super good. I also had the pollo asado taco - wasn't crazy about the seasoning on the chicken, but very tender. They came with limes and salsa - salsa was surprisingly good. On to the rice and beans - they were both very good! And the most amazing thing about this food - it was hot when I got it home!!!! That's saying something because many more expensive restaurants serve "warm" food - I hate that. We will get food again, but I will make it loud and clear that i want the crispy tacos - the soft were still good, just not what I ordered. Will be back read more
