Somerset Famous Pizza is my new favorite local pizza place. My former pizza place at the North side of this pizza restaurant saturated town, has put my call on hold and hung up on me for the last time. The folks at Famous Pizza are friendly, service is quick, the pies are delicious and they do not put you on hold! My own favorite is the chourice, pepper and onion pizza. Plenty of toppings, great crust and awesome flavors...a great pie. Pepperoni and mushrooms hit the spot too. I also have had a sub from Famous; it was flavorful and the ends were full, not just bread. Fine family running the place. Never got delivery so I can't comment. Call in your order and enjoy. Stopped at this place while traveling. Totally exceeded expectations. Ordered a large cheese pizza and two sodas for less than 15 bucks. The pizza was delicious. The sauce was slightly sweet, tomatoey and good. There was a ridiculous amount of cheese on the pizza. Like, we had to eat it with a fork and knife because the cheese was heavy and weighing down the slices. It was amazing, very filling too. This place is good as far as pizza restaurants go. Yum, comfort food. Famous has been around since I was a kid and a great go to Pizza Parlor. I started taking my wife and son here after I moved back to the area and was pleasantly surprised that it's as good as I remember. The chourico pizza is my favorite. They cook the pizza Greek style. With a hardy and crispy crust. The sauce is very tasty. I've also tried their GYRO's and they are delicious as well. Parking is tight but I always find a spot. This place had zero respect for customers. Visiting my family for xmas, and get in late and want some food. I go in Yelp and order from there. Says its .9 miles away. Well this was wrong. So on the way we can find it so I call the place for directions. There was zero help from them. A worker had the balls to call me back swearing and yelling at me for not picking up my pizza. I call him back and try to explain my situation of how I could not find this place and how the address was wrong. I work in the food industry and I have never been treated like this in my life. I seriously cannot say enough good things about Famous! It's a small, family owned business that hasn't lost touch with what originally made them successful: making people happy. The food is awesome, prices are low, and the staff are the nicest people you'll ever meet. It's been a go-to for me whether I'm home and want a pizza and movie night, or at work and need a sandwich for lunch. It's cliche to say everything on the menu is good, but everything on the menu is good. My favorites are the pepperoni pizza, pastrami sandwich (mustard, cheese, and pickles), and the antipasto salad (it's huge!). I placed an order for delivery and they forgot 4 items that we ordered. When going there, because I couldn't get thru on the phone, the owner's son was talking in greek like I didnt know he was talking about me complaining and throwing things around. Also while waiting for my items he was taking the phone off the hook very agitated. When I received my food I told him he should be more professional with customers in the business. He told to get out of here as he was waving his hand like he was shooing a fly, mumbling under his breath. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a BUFFALO chicken calzone tonight, which I have ordered before no problem. It arrived just as a regular chicken calzone no buffalo. I call and spoke with a man with a thick accent , probably the owner and told him the order was wrong. He said it's not wrong he made it himself. I said there's nothing buffalo about this calzone.
