There was one cashier taking orders and she was friendly and quick. We ordered a California Burger meal and a ham & cheese omelette breakfast plate. The crowd seemed to flow at a decent speed and we had tables available as soon as we finished placing our order. The food was ready shortly after and was freshly made to order! The young girl bringing out the order was friendly and asked if we needed anything else. I have actually been here a few times and each time has been a nice experience. The staff is friendly and everything is made fresh to order. Yum! One thing that caught us by surprise and honestly was a bit bothersome is that their receipts appear to include a hidden fee. The fee itself isn't much, but that isn't the point -- it's the principle. If you're going to charge a fee for anything, it should be clearly disclosed. I'm posting our receipt below. You can see our order came to $35.77 and we paid $3.13 in tax, which should total $38.90. However, the total charged to our card was $40.07. Just something to be aware of if you plan to pay with a card -- it looks like there may be about a 3% "non-cash" surcharge added to the total.

The burger initially looked great. Lots of avocado and bacon. Soft bun. Then I tried to take a bite. The bun started falling apart right away. The ingredients were sliding around making it very difficult to take a bite. Then I noticed the super thin burger that was still red. This is a burger out of a box. Not made in house. The burger was cold. My husband said the polish was just ok. The fries were barely warm. The onion rings were hot. The Ranch dressing was like mayo with a tiny bit of seasoning. Not good. I picked up drink and the cup completely folded in half and a large portion of my drink went all over the floor. The top had already popped off numerous times but this time the cup collapsed. Based on all of this I would not return.

The only reason it caught my eye was because our tax preparer was just down the street. It was obviously well loved by the locals after reading their great reviews and seeing a full parking lot. And this was on a Wednesday. We only had time for a quick bite, ordering nothing out of the ordinary. A quickie breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, and pancake, were all we had, but everything was nicely done. The pancake was big, light and airy, served with a carafe of warm syrup and a huge scoop of butter. The scrambled eggs were moist and fluffy, the sausage was basically a Farmer John sausage patty that was properly warmed but not overcooked, and very good tasting. My only criticism was the coffee being too thin for my liking, but keeping our coffee mugs filled was something they definitely did well! The service was wonderful. They knew we were in a rush, and handled us with TLC the entire 35 minutes we had. What I do know is, I will be looking forward to our next tax appointment, hah, knowing our morning will start off right here. Next time...chicken fried steak, or maybe a bowl of hearty homemade soup, y'all!

I ordered the turkey club with fries, and it absolutely hit the mark. The sandwich had perfectly crispy bread with moist, flavorful turkey--every bite was spot on. The fries were just as impressive: crispy, well-seasoned, and seriously addictive. The real standout combo though? Dipping those fries in their house made ranch, so good. Definitely a meal I'll be thinking about and coming back for!
