The shell was delicious & the Oreo and strawberry ice cream were delicious. Wasn't a huge fun of the matcha flavor...

Long wait and the one and only cashier did not even tell us order from the kiosk only! There should have been a sign notating that otherwise everyone is waiting around for no reason. Unbelievable for a big store with only one worker...this is not Mexico. Side note: big kudos to the young lady working as fast as she can alone! She did the job for 3 people. Give her a raise. We left her with a $5 tip. Ice cream and waffle fish was delicious. Tried black sesame, milk, strawberry, ube.

SomiSomi has made its way to Temecula! A rarity once consolidated only to LA or San Diego's foodie scenes has made its reach to our side of the Inland Valley. This is definitely a must try if you're craving something sweet. My personal favs are the crispy taiyakis with a spongey bite before you reach the warm gooey filling of your choice. You can't go wrong with a classic custard, but the sweetness scale has no limit--from Nutella to a milder matcha or black sesame filling. I personally don't gravitate towards soft serve, but aside from special swirl combinations, they also offer a topping bar selection to further customize your sweet treat. Highly recommend!

We've been here twice since they opened, and I really wanted to love this location... but it's just not hitting the same. First off, service isn't the greatest. The space is also lacking seating-- there are only a few stand-up shelves inside similar to Mira Mesa, but come on, you have ALL that empty space! For context, we used to live in Mira Mesa and would go to that location all the time. Their taiyaki was always made fresh-- warm, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. At this Temecula location, the taiyaki has been HARD AS A ROCK both times. They seem to pre-make them and have fans blowing on them, which completely dries them out. That's honestly the biggest disappointment. Taiyaki should be hot and fresh-- that's kind of the whole point..... The ice cream itself is still good, and I do appreciate the rotating flavors and the variety of toppings. That part is consistent. But overall, the quality just isn't at the same level as the San Diego spots. Hoping management tightens things up because it has so much potential.

Food: 5 Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 4 I've been to SomiSomi in San Diego before and always enjoyed it but for some reason the Temecula location is just on another level. I've visited twice now and even though there were some people there each time the service was quick and friendly. We have had the cold brew (ok!), taiyaki (warm and filling) and soft serve (creamy and delicious!). The ube, matcha, strawberry/banana pudding soft serve and all are so tasty! We've also tried red bean and custard fillings for the taiyaki. Everything is yummy and aesthetically pleasing and you honestly can't go wrong. There isn't really a place to sit down and eat but they have tables where you can enjoy your treats while standing up and they also have some water if you need it as well. I recommend this place to get your soft serve on!

Somisomi in Temecula continues to serve up delicious and iconic taiyaki with ice cream. Winter seasonal flavors include their banana pudding ice cream (which has been bomb) and hotteok taiyaki, a thick warm cinnamon and nut filling reminiscent of apple pie filling without the fruit. I recently had their ice cream for an elite event and had to come back for more. Highly recommend both limited flavors before it goes away!

New location For ice cream and waffle place they do have a large selection They make their fish waffle comes fresh to order too Service is friendly and careful too Too bad the little macaroon was a bit stale but quite colorful Black sesame tastes very Asian-- not for the faint of heart The he hotteok was really Korean flavor with the nutty sweetness - yummy Very fresh and authentic A meal in itself

It's located at the corner of Promenade in Temecula a little tucked away. It's nice because they have a ton of benches and umbrellas you can sit outside to enjoy your ice cream. The store is nice and clean. There was only one worker when we went. She was quick and friendly. They have a handful of different soft serves and they'll swap out which swirls flavors they have. I usually get the matcha, but I tried the matcha strawberry swirl today. It was a great mix of flavors! I like getting the ahboong where the ice cream comes swirled on top of the fish bread (not made from real fish), but they have different options as well. You can get the fish bread on top or just in the cup! They also sell the fish bread on the side. They offer different filling flavors and toppings!

Been wanting to check out SomiSomi and finally got the chance a few days ago with my kids. Its located by the mall near Benihana. We all ordered their fish shaped cone upside downwith soft serve called "Ahboong". You can either order it this way, or the just soft serve in a cup and even a cold brew float. Once you order what style, you have serveral choices for soft serve and the filling of the ahboong (fish cone). So many varieties you can make! Not only do they serve this but they also serve Taiyaki which is just the fish shaped waffle with a filling. Everything is made to order and this sweet treat is pure deliciousness. Hot or cold day, its an enjoyable treat! As you enter the store, straight ahead is the counter area where they make the goods and to your right is a long standing table/countertop to enjoy your treats. Unfortunately there are no tables or chairs inside but outside are some benches. The young ladies assisting us were nice and helpful with any questions we had. This is a cashless establishment so make sure to have a card to make your purchases not cash. Can't wait to come back and try another variety of flavors!

DELICIOUS Korean DESSERT!!! They serve a special Korean Dessert "Ah-Boong" fish waffle shaped cone with the filling of your choice on soft service The contrast of the warm waffle cone and cold soft serve makes it an enjoyable treat Ambiance: simple nothing fancy, but the food is what you come here for. We got the upside down ah boong with matcha as the soft serve and Nutella filling in the waffle cone. SO GOOD If you haven't tried Ah-Boong, give it a try and you won't regret it!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The LINE was so long and it felt like 100 degrees but, it was so worth the WAIT!! Plus my hubby was so nice enough to buy some umbrellas from DOLLAR TREE so that helped a lot. We are SO HAPPY that SOMI SOMI opened up here in Temecula because it's usually a drive to LA or SD... This was wonderful. The matcha is to die for if you don't mind me saying and my husband absolutely adored the custard filled fish cone thing. The service was wonderful we were helped quickly and they answered the questions my husband had since he had never tried it before. On top of that, my husband had been raving about how delicious the ice cream was when he accidentally dropped it mid sentence. In spite of the overwhelming crowd of people that had just come in and were waiting in line, the wonderful workers replaced my husband's ice cream free of charge. The restaurant itself is clean but there are no seats. You take your desert and go.

Tried out this new location on a Saturday night. Arrived at 8pm and the line moved steadily. It's popular so we expected it to be crowded. We finally made our way to the front in 30 minutes. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The portions were very generous. The store is bright and smells so good. We will be back.

I'm visiting for the second time, and I remembered this place having some of the best meat I've…read moreever had at a KBBQ restaurant. The cuts were high quality and not overloaded with fat. For some reason, I just never made it back here; probably because the Promenade area isn't usually along our route. Coming here tonight genuinely brightened my day. I had just finished a long shift and a commute, and all I wanted was a good, comforting meal. My nutritionist told me yesterday need to significantly increase my protein intake to help reduce muscle loss related to my autoimmune thyroid condition. KBBQ seemed like the perfect choice; lots of protein without a lot of unnecessary junk. On my way home, I stopped at two other KBBQ restaurants. Apparently, I was unaware of the unspoken rule that some places don't serve parties of one on weekends. One restaurant even had me wait 25 minutes before telling me they wouldn't seat a solo diner during the weekend. Unfortunately, my husband is currently deployed, so being a party of one isn't exactly a choice for me right now! Normally, dining alone doesn't bother me at all, but today it got to me. I was exhausted and simply wanted a comforting meal. Being turned away after waiting 25 minutes just because I by myself was the last thing I needed. When I called this restaurant, the owner or manager immediately answered and was incredibly friendly. He explained that they offer entrée and plate options for guests who aren't doing the all-you-can-eat menu. I honestly don't understand why more restaurants don't offer this. I know the food industry is competitive and businesses have to make money, but having options for solo diners makes such a difference. When I arrived, I received wonderful service right away, and there was no wait, but they were full. The owner or manager recognized me as the person who had called earlier and went out of his way to make me feel welcome since we found out we're from the same area. He even added a little surprise to my order simply out of kindness. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. In an area with no shortage of restaurants, I want to give this place the credit it deserves, not only for the excellent food, but for the heart behind the business. Today, I'm especially grateful for the kindness and generosity shown to me. You never know what someone may be going through, and a simple act of thoughtfulness can make a bigger impact than you realize. His kindness truly lifted my spirits after a long and difficult day. I believe this is a small family-owned business, and they absolutely deserve the support of the community. Great food is easy to find; genuine hospitality is much harder to come by. I'll definitely be back!

Nice service and decent meat for the price!…read more The menu is straightforward with the basic meat options. Although the choices are very limited, they offer the typical meat options that people would normally get at other locations. The menu states that there's a limit on the marinated short ribs, but the worker said that we could get as much as we wanted. The ventilation could definitely be better, but it didn't bother us that much. Our favorite part was that they provided FREE ice cream at the end of our meal which was a pleasant surprise. * Beef Brisket: 9/10 - cooks the fastest and pairs nicely with the brisket sauce * Bulgogi Beef: 9/10 - nicely marinated and tender * Beef Short Ribs: 9/10 - the best choice, but we were curious as to why it didn't come with the bones * Ice Cream: 10/10 - perfect dessert after such a very meal The place is a good size and can fit a large number of booths and grills. We came when they first opened so the workers were quite attentive, but it might be different during hectic dinner times. They're located in a small lot with the gas station and other shops so parking might be tough. Considering this is one of the few KBBQ places in the area, we were happy with our experience and would definitely consider coming back!

Noodle consistency is great with their Blaze or Classic ramen options, as the broth tends to be a little thicker and creamier than the Shoyu option. Their appetizer selection is also pretty diner friendly and sure to include a little something for everyone. If you're not in the mood for noodles, they also offer regular or large rice bowls, which come with amazing flavor profiles all on their own. At a glance, the 'regular' size option might seem like an insignificant portion, but rest assured it comes ready to satisfy the types of diners who'd prefer to taste a little of everything. My only critique would be on the sushi selection. It didn't taste so fresh, but then again this place is obviously not named Silverlake Sushi, so I'll rest my case on that note. I stand firmly behind ramen being the craft that Silverlake takes time to perfect, both in the intricate taste and in visual detail.
