There were only about 4 cars ahead of me in the drive thru line, but it took a bit to get to the speaker to order and then also a while to get up to the window. I ordered a medium Diet Cherry Limeade and a corn dog. My total came out to around $5, which honestly isn't too bad! The drink was good, but I feel like it's pretty hard to mess up a Diet Cherry Limeade. The only downside was that I forgot to ask for ketchup and mustard, and they didn't ask if I wanted any either. So I ended up eating the corn dog plain. It was fine, but it definitely would've been a lot better with some condiments. Overall, not a bad experience. The service was just a little slow, and I wish they would have included ketchup and mustard with the corn dog without having to be asked. read more

If all you want is a soda, you're probably safe ordering here but lately I've had to request easy ice because suddenly they put so much in. Don't order food unless you like it lukewarm. I got a 44 ounce slush. I started drinking my slush and got no slush. When I got home I took off the lid and saw maybe an inch of slush ice on top. I recently started to go to Sonic, I get on the app and order my food, I get to the stall and check in. The parking lot is pretty full most of the time. The food is there within 2 minutes and it is executed well. I have gone to Sonic many times recently, and had consistent experiences. A lot of time they have deals in the app, and $2 double cheese burgers. The kids that bring the food are very friendly, and give a smile. There is always a mint in the bag. The last time I was there they gave me 3 tiny novelty ducks with my meal. Seems to me like they are trying to make the customers happy. Maybe more people should use the app. read more

DO NOT PARK IN THEIR STALLS (American Fork UT)!!! Their parking stall menu destroyed my passenger side mirror when backing out. See photos for how each stall has side mirror scrapes on the menus and some of the menus have broken as a result, or are missing. There clearly is not enough space in the stalls for the metal menu frames and a car. No signs telling customers to fold in their side mirrors. I contacted Sonic's representative multiple times to start an insurance claim to repair the mirror. It started with promises and then they stopped responding. What was supposed to be a fun outing of shakes with the family turned into hundreds of dollars of repairs at my own expense, and hours of hassle with their lack of customer service and replacing the mirror. read more

Got to American Fork early and figured I had time to stop by for a drink. A blue coconut slushy sounded great even though it was cold outside and not many other places have slushy drinks. I went through the drive thru and didn't have to wait very long at all. There were two cars ahead of me and one of the servers brought my drink out so I didn't have to wait for the other cars to get their food. read more

Sonic American Fork: An absolute disgrace to the service industry. False advertising lured us in with promises of ice cream, only to have those hopes crushed by incompetent staff. Their website blatantly lied about operating hours, and the parking lot was a disaster - order screens ripped out of the only available stall. We sat in the drive-thru for an eternity, with a single car ahead of us, only to be greeted by a condescending employee who smugly informed us the ice cream machine was "closed." No explanation, no apology, just pure indifference. This was supposed to be a special treat for my family after an incredibly difficult day spent at the hospital, watching over my brother in the ICU. Sonic's utter disregard for their customers ruined what should have been a moment of joy. They robbed us of a small comfort during an incredibly trying time, and for that, they deserve nothing but condemnation. Avoid this Sonic location at all costs. Their incompetence, indifference, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction are simply unforgivable. Your much better off at Baskin Robbin's which is only 200 yards south (and which, unfortunately for me and my family we only found out later, that it also is open until 11pm) read more

This location needs to update their hours to reflect when they are actually open. I placed a mobile order at 8:20 PM, an entire 40 minutes before they are supposed be closed. I arrive at 8:40 only to be told bluntly, "before you order anything our ice cream machine isn't working and our kitchen is closed." I informed them of my mobile order but that didn't matter to them cause they told me they already refunded it before I arrived. It would've been nice if the app told me they weren't going to complete my order so I didn't have to waste gas driving over to the establishment. I'm writing this while waiting for our food to be delivered. Over 15 minutes ago I pulled into a stall and hit the button. It's still flashing and no one has ever answered. In that time I've downloaded the app, ordered my food, and paid. The red light is still flashing. It's now been 10 minutes since I ordered and paid. The app didn't give me the half off price for happy hour. I'd complain, but it wouldn't do me any good, which is why I took to Yelp instead. Waited 30minutes for a response and still got nothing. This location doesn't know how to handle being busy because no one was moving in the 30 minutes we waited. Some people got their food but we sat there and waited. As a person who works in the food service industry, it's common courtesy to tell someone who's been waiting a while that you will be with them shortly. Not leave them hanging. My thing is that this is the SECOND time this location has been slow at 2 in the afternoon. Chick Fil A's line moves through faster. Management needs to step up their game especially when it comes to this situation. I'm appalled by this and wish that it didn't happen twice. I hope they can get better and improve.
