Mediocre at best! I would not recommend going to Wayback burgers! It's just not very good! We ordered 3 burgers, onion rings, and cheese curds. Quality of burger was just okay. Flavor was just okay. We got the cheese curds and were absolutely shocked at the quantity that we received. The photo I'm sharing is the exact amount we got!! Tiny tiny portion!! We paid almost 7 dollars for this! What a joke! Smallest proportion ever! I really should've taken them back, because this is a joke!!! The onion rings were just OK, they were soggy and kind of gross Service was slow. Heard mediocre reviews about this place but we have the starving student card so we took advantage of it! Definitely over priced for the burgers and it's one of those, but everything separate places, so it's even more for fries. We got the Cajun burger and a buffalo chicken blt. The burger was good with the lettuce and tomato but without it would be pretty greasy. The chicken was VERY good. It was a nice size, juicy chicken and personally a big fan of the buffalo sauce. The bacon was a little weird, seemed cold and like it was cooked in the morning. Service was good for us but we were the only customers there. We were really excited to try Wayback Burger, but the experience left little to recommend it. The burgers were no better than drive-thru fare, but the tots were good. Shakes were OK, but flavorings, like chocolate, were very stingy. Hard to distinguish it from vanilla. Finally...service...our food to a long time to make and then it sat in the order-up window for at least 10 minutes, so when they finally brought it out everything was fully cold. Not good. We sent it back and finally got eatable food another 15 minutes later. No apology. Very disappointing overall. Next time I'll opt for the Melty Way shop next door. I love a good burger place. When I saw this had opened I was excited to give them a try. So few places are open in Utah County on a Sunday so that is definitely a plus. I ordered the cheeseburger and cheese curds. I was pretty excited to try cheese curds since those are one of my favorite things and I've never had them fried before. For $5.29 those are a pass. I thought the amount of cheese curds for the price was not worth it. They was just like a fried ball of dough with very little cheese. The cheeseburger on the other hand was really good. I thought the flavors of the burger was juicy and flavorful. If I'm being completely transparent, I would say the bun was too dry. I know their whole concept is to promote burgers from the past and I do think the burgers had a good of old-fashioned taste. I should've ordered the fries for science. I'll have to do that next time. I think they're still working out the kinks on this restaurant, but definitely give them a try. I do a lot of hiking, so I know I will stop by on my way back from the mountains again soon. read more

They opened about 1 week ago and seem to have hit their stride between front and back of house. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and well looked after. Price seems normal these days. The portions were just right. The crispy chicken was cooked great. The buns were buttery. The quality was top notch. The bacon had a great flavor. The burgers were 8/10, 7/10 and 7/10 according to the older kids. 1 million out of 10 from the little kid. Onion rings and bacon cheese fries were great. Crispy and cooked to perfection. Excited to have one in Utah! We had the bourbon bacon burger which was cooked to perfection, super juicy with lots of toppings- great flavor! The fries could have been a little crispier but the fry sauce was very tasty and made up for it. We also had a chocolate shake which was really good too. All around a good meal. We Doordashed our food, it was good.. But, I ordered the chili cheese fries, and whatever cheese sauce they made was old and had a weird funk to it. I had to stop eating it because i've gotten food poisoning before from mishandled cheese sauce before. My suggestion, just do shredded cheddar or melt american cheese on it. If youre going to make a cheese sauce use sodium citrate and water and cheese of your choice, simple. Also the chili was not as beefy as I was hoping it would be, too tomato forward and tasted burnt. My non-beef eating friends, rejoice! The impossible melt here is to die for. It wasn't just the greatest meatless burger I've ever had, it was one of the best burgers I've had period. The flavor was incredible, the cheese perfectly melted, the bun toasted to a buttery crisp, and the caramelized onions added the best sweetness. The bbq sauce deserves an honorable mention and the fries were expertly cooked and seasoned. I had to wait about 30 mins during the Saturday night rush but the deliciousness made it so worth the wait!
