Came on a Monday night at 11pm. Ordered 2 6in chili dogs and tater tots and a cherry limeade size large and a route 44 slushie. My boyfriend and I were sharing and for $12 it was decent food. Maybe it was what we ordered? We didn't want to take a chance on a burger so we played it safe. The food was good but we mainly went for the drinks. Right off the 57 Freeway on Chapman in Fullerton. Right across the street from In n Out. Drive up into one of the parking spaces, look around at the menu, press the button and order! What we got: Mini Hot Fudge Shake ($2): not bad for $2. It's like a hot fudge sundae that you could drink! Small Lemonberry Slush ($2): I always always get this whenever I go to a Sonic. It's sweet and sour at the same time. Love the strawberry pieces in it as well. Go during their happy hour from 2 - 5PM and it's half off! Island Fire Chicken Sandwich ($4.25): something new on their menu, it's like a crispy chicken sandwich with this habanero sauce on it. Pretty good in my opinion and not that spicy at all. I usually go to this location, and one good thing about it is that they open late (until 2 am!), Other than that food comes a little bit slow, and certain servers seems a little annoyed about us not requesting the sauce we wanted while we doing app order, while there wasn't an option for us to do that. read more

The only other Sonic that l've been to was in Arizona, so we were happy to find this one local : ) Went here on a late Wednesday night~ pulled up, ordered, and was ready to munch down on some goodies in like 10 mins! Ended up ordering a crapload of yumminess... a grape slushee, cherry limeaid, 2 double bacon cheeseburgers, 2 chili coney dogs, tater tots, fries and onion rings. In the end it was kinda $$, coming in at under $28... You can NEVER (literally) go wrong with a Sonic drink, ever (they even have light versions!). The burgers were good, the bacon was crispy. Couldn't finish the dogs, so we saved them for the next day~ and reheated it was still super good. The fries, tots and onion rings were all crunchy and perfecto. In the end, we'll be back! read more

Arrived, followed the instructions, it said my order was being brought to my stall and it never did. That prompt disappeared and I waited 15 minutes before I decided to hop in the drive thru and ask about it where the employee told me what to do and I told him that I did all of those things that it had now been 30 minutes. My friend and I pull up to the drive-thru around midnight and he orders a reece's banana ice cream thing and an ocean water for me. When we pull up to the window, the employee tells us they don't have that flavor ice cream thing (why didn't she check before she confirmed the order? It happens w/e) so he orders something else. The team here likes to say that your order is on the way to you to make sure corporate stays off their back for long wait times, when in fact it's not going to be on the way for another 15/20 minutes. You can put an order in at the drive up screen and watch the drive through go from empty and serve over 10 cars that weren't even here yet when you placed your order before they serve you. The food is good, most of the time. The service is great, most of the time. The reason for my 3 stars is because they constantly give me my burger w/o bacon. I get it sometimes they mess up when I add bacon to a chicken sandwich that does not come with bacon but not including bacon to a cheeseburger that already includes bacon! Today I said add bacon and no tomato to my chicken sandwich, yet I get a chicken sandwich with tomato and they added onion instead of bacon, why? I love Sonic in general, but this location is so horrible at getting orders right. Every single time they get mine wrong. Tonight I ordered chili cheese fries and a Frozen Real Fruit Strawberry Limeade. I came home and found I had a lime slush and oversalted fries with literally a slice of a barely melted Kraft single. Disgusting. I threw it away. It was not busy at all, so it's not like they were overwhelmed. I paid $6 for just a small lime slush. Last week I got my husband an Ocean Water and the cup was only 2/3 full. Every time my order is correct on the screen and they still almost always mess it up. They give me diet cherry drink flavoring instead of regular cherry or they leave out something in my order. The employees have always been nice and cheerful, but seriously - I just want my order right for once. I usually wouldn't post about something so dumb but SERIOUSLY EVERY TIME? It's a Sonic. It's located in the same plaza as the El Pollo Loco. I don't know if they could not hear me or not but even after shouting at the microphone they kept putting the wrong items on the check. My friend said even when she was wearing a mask and ordering people could hear her, so if it has something to do with my voice, I'm starting to think I should talk in different voice pitches until SOME Sonic understands me. There was a surcharge for water so we decided to remain dehydrated. The food looked significantly different than the pictures but it tasted fine. The service we got was great! Whatever issues mentioned in previous comments seem to have been fixed. The food came out in just a few minutes and everything was fresh. Our carhop was listed as Rosemary on the receipt, but I'm not sure if there are multiple people serving us. Both the person on the intercom taking our order and the carhop were very courteous and kind. The guy serving us did great and was on rollerblades with lime green wheels (didn't catch his name) - I hope management/the owner commends and rewards the employees for fixing any mistakes they made in the past and improving their service skills. read more

First off, I'm into giving this place a 3 because of he corn dogs and hot dogs, they are disgusting, I started to eat a corn dog and almost throw up, it taste so weird and frozen, and the hot dog was the same, I actually throw it away, and I never throw food away. I just drove up to Sonics , with my daughter for a late nite drink snack . The line was off the charts out the drive way . But hey ! We were willing to wait in it . I seen a sign that stated the car hops where closed ONLY DRIVE THRU open . I waited an hour got to the speaker to order and this girl tells me we are only taking cash!!! My response was are you serious! I waited in that line for an hour , you don't have a sign at all and you're just telling people as we get to the speaker .. I heard her sincerity come thru the speaker when she said sorry .! I'm being sarcastic. I could even hear how she thought it was funny. It really pissed me off. I took off I was just amazed how they conduct customer service just not giving a damm about customers waiting an hour or plus in line . So I decided to call and speak to the MGR to let them know hey this isn't right why are you making us wait in line this long well the person that answered the phone when I asked to speak to the MGR said they where the mgr , when I asked their name she stated Jocelyne , I asked her last name , she hung up on me . Completely unprofessional of these people . Not just wasting people's time in this line and now it's just not ok how do you not expect customers not to get upset when easily you could of just put a sign not accepting cards only cash. Food was great, except the regular fries. They tasted old and re heated. Service was not horrible but it wasn't great, we waited a little bit more then 13 minutes for ketchup that we ask for twice. First we ask the employee who brought our food then we ask cashier over the monitor at the end decided to get off and just go get it ourself. If I could give this location NO STARS, or better yet, NEGATIVE 5 stars, I would. The female that was working on the drive-thru is DISRESPECTFUL. Because I've had issues in the past with Sonic NOT making my food as requested (we have an onion ALLERGY in my family, and we often end up with many restaurants - not just Sonic - not taking heed). As I was attempting to ensure that my order was understood, this broad doesn't seem to give a damn, and when I ask if she has it marked as NO ONION, she doesn't bother to even answer me. She's short, and only wants to move on! I was actually sitting in the drive-thru line waiting to get to the window when I started this review. At the window I was greeted by a rather nice and very professional young lady. I realized by her voice and demeanor, that she was not the person on the speaker. I come to find out that the disrespectful female was THE MANAGER! Her name is Rameesha (I'm not sure of the spelling, I would appreciate it if anyone would like to provide me with the correct spelling, as I'd like to not disrespect this hateful woman in such a way). When I confront her with her unprofessional ways, she AGAIN gives me nothing but attitude, no apology, simply says (in a rather snarky manner), "well there's no onions on your order, so there! You can call tomorrow and talk to someone then." and proceeds to slam the window closed and walk away. I don't know if she thinks I'm not calling tomorrow; but she is sadly mistaken. What is worse is that she did this mess while there is a completely different person's name on the receipt. The rather sweet young lady is the person whose name is on the receipt. Her name is Angelique. I want it to be understood that ANGELIQUE IS AMAZING. Slow and not nice service. I stopped coming here about a year ago for bad service. Stopped by tonight hoping for a change but it's s the same. Three different car hops stopped by our car with other peoples orders. Then our screen told us that our order was on its way, after waiting 25 minutes, but it still took ANOTHER 15 minutes for it to arrive. Total wait time was 40 mins. Not acceptable for "fast food". I absolutely love this location because of its convenience right off the 57N. I've only tried their Oreo Chocolate milk shake but the first time I went, I was amazed at the shake selection. Typically, fast food restaurants only have the usual chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, but no, Sonic has those three and a TON more. It's so deliciously made and sweet, so anyone with a sweet tooth would definitely enjoy. Even if the line is long save your time and go through the drive-thru. This location has not a single care in the world for the drive-up ordering stalls. So many people, including us, first sat at a drive-up stall for over 25 minutes waiting for our order to be taken. They do not answer when you press the Red button. Although the drive thru line was long we decided to go through that instead and park and eat after. The line was moving at snail speed but at least it was moving. We spent another 15 minutes in line behind 6 cars. As we were in line we could see so many empty&occupied outdoor stalls with flashing red lights. So many people come and then leave empty handed because they were not served. I challenge the general manager of this location to actually work here for a night so he or she can see for themself how bad of a manager they are. Hell, I challenge the CEO to work a night since there seems to be a bad trend for all So-Cal Sonic locations. Such a cool concept, gone to waste. Looking inside through the drive thru window, the staff looked pretty relaxed and not stressed at all and didn't have much urgency despite at least 30 people waiting for help? You can tell they are used to this! But I feel sorry for them, there should be more staff. 0 stars for outdoor service + 1 Star for "decent" cashier service from the guy at the window and for getting our order correct although he never apologized for the long wait + 1 bonus Star for their amazing Shakes/Slushes/Sonic Blasts and for their poor quality food that kinda tastes good. read more

Went with a group of 3. Ordered a classic vanilla shake and a Chicago hotdog. I also ate shared tater tots and a cheese burger. I liked eating outside at midnight. It's summer so it's like Palm Springs weather right now. It felt fresh like if it was 7pm. I also liked the style. It's like the style of the Riverdale diner. Don't order the small hotdogs. They're the cheapy hot dogs from the supermarket. The cheapest brand they have, the ones that break apart easily. I loved my vanilla shake. It's not as thick as the In N Out shake. It came out of the straw okay for me. I just liked the consistency of the shake. It kinda tasted like vanilla extract (the real one). It was a little weird that it tasted like extract (uncommon) but I really loved the consistency. The tater tots are like the high school cafeteria ones. They're a little overcooked so they stick together when served in the fry half box. They were okay. Next time I will get fries. I liked the sauces. The sauces were in between the thickness of jack in the box and McDonald's. Not too thin, not as thick as McDonald's. I think the sauces taste better in combinations. I liked ranch with honey mustard. The burger was tasty overall. The cheese and the pickles are really good and satisfying. The beef patty tastes like the non chain patties you can make at home or buy at less popular burger chains. I guess it might have been a little dry. I'm not sure why the patty tasted like that. Oh and it was $24 for 3 people and we ordered 2 combos, 1 entree and 2 shakes. That's pretty cheap compared to other restaurants. Overall I liked the atmosphere, the burger and the shake. It's a fun place to go with your friends when everything is closed. I like how the flavors are unique because after a while we get tired of In N Out sameness. Great deals on the drinks but parking for the stalls can get bad if you're trying to get out when drive through is full. Some workers are friendly, some are not. Don't reverse park since it's not allowed even if you already paid. I tried to reverse park but was not allowed when it drive through was full and hard to get out. Heads up! read more

Shortly after posting my previous review, Sonic reached out to me and gave me some free coupons, which I appreciated. Yesterday, I went back to this Sonic location since the first time since my 5/28 review and ordered the Custard, again. I ordered one for myself and one for my husband. When we finally got to the window, the girl handed us the ice creams and I said "These are custards, right?" (just checking since last time they messed it up) and she replied "Well, they're just regular ice creams because we're out of the custard powder (whatever the heck that is)." I said "Why didn't you tell me that when I ordered the custards?" She has no reply. Sonic has signs all over their building and parking lot advertising the CUSTARDS. I was really angry so I just drove away. I should have given the ice creams back and requested my money back. Never EVER going to this location again. Really disappointed. read more
