Watched these employees hand the guest in front of me a bag of food and moments later they gave it back. Watched the same bag of food sit there for almost 40 minutes and when they tried handing me that SAME BAG OF FOOD I asked if they could remake my order as it was unsanitary and my food was probably cold. Sonic has always been my go to place for drinks, particularly during happy hour! Unfortunately, this is the worst sonic I've ever been to. They are sooooo slow every time I go. Today I ordered a Dr. Pepper and it took them 15 minutes to bring it out. The girl apologized saying they had gotten busy, but there were maybe 7 cars in the parking lot. This sonic was horrible bad. 11:40pm-12am at the drive up. First we noticed are two shakes were like milk not made right. Then we had 4 hotdogs 2 were under cooked and all 4 had an over walling amount of relish, mustard, and katchup. So we asked for 2 new ones since two were under cooked also asked for less toppings and cooked well done. The girl who was taking or bad hotdog back laughing about the situation. A man came back to give us our new ones and they were once again to much toppings. We asked for the manager who refunded our hotdogs and shake also laughing about the situation. First off, for years I've only witnessed Sonic's potential in commercials. I live in Burbank and there isn't a Sonic's for miles. Commercial-wise, I think Sonic does a good job of making you want their shit, but actually visiting one? I ordered the cheddar peppers and the chili cheese tots, just as an experiment and the experiment went wrong. The cheddar peppers tasted like the plant your neighbor asked you to water while they were away, but instead, you didn't water it, and it died, and you ate it to blame the dog. The chili cheese tots were only slightly better, but that's because I feel like once you've tasted poop, even dirt is a step up. The service was fine and friendly, but not enough to erase the memories my tongue will be left with now that its been molested by dirty old food. read more

Hello everyone who follows me and appreciates good food and the true depth of a kick-ass dining experience. I'm not going to waste too much time on this because it's simply going to degrade into a horrible bitching session - about the food. Please, if you frequent a Sonic...ANY SONIC - please correct me if I'm wrong and tell me what to order that actually stays palatable for more than 2 minutes! This food was absolutely HORRIBLE! Shamefully, it wasn't the drive thru attendants fault - she, just so happens to have been the friendliest drive-thru attendant I have dealt w in a while...years, actually. It wasn't the exterior of the building - it was surprisingly clean! Hell, even the menu board was impressive! It was simply the food! As most of you know, I talk about the whole dining experience and drive thru's do limit this - but the one thing they still need to be good at is the food they are responsible for putting out. It SHOULD represent what is pictured in their menu...or they should simply not advertise the menu w pictures. My friend and I had just finished an amazing - and amazingly challenging - hike at Bonita Falls in San Bernardino, and were looking for a place to grub quickly! As I drove we were deciding on sit down casual or drive thru fast? I had never been to a Sonic's so I threw it into the mix. We both decided we'd take a shot w Sonic's since I had never been there to eat and she hadn't either. I recalled driving thru a Sonic's for a Lemonade in Florida, years ago. We looked over the menu and drove up to the attendant. She was so sweet! She did everything she needed to do - and I thought to myself...great customer service! Left definitely left a positive impression! When I asked for a cup of ice - she gave it to me and explained that should I come through another time and be charged $.40 for the cup of ice, because they now sell BAGS OF ICE! (Who knew!?) I ordered the Bacon Burger on Thick French Toast Bread and she ordered the Breakfast Sandwich. Now, you would think something this simple would be safe to order? WE were wrong. By the time we got to her home - literally a 2 minute drive - the sandwiches were MUSH! They tasted as if they'd been prepped waaay in advance. Soo disappointing! I went to this sonic about two weeks ago with my family. It will be a long time before I go to this location again. Strike one was after we ordered we got our food about 30 minutes later. I was thinking they totally forgot us. Felt very unvalued as a customer Second strike was when we got our order it was stone cold and not even right. I asked for a double cheese burger and got a single. I ordered it without lettuce or tomato and it had everything on it. Third strike was I ordered onion rings and they gave me two orders and charged me for both. Three strikes your out. Half the time the drinks are done incorrectly. Make sure to check your drinks before you leave. I waited 20 minutes for 4 drinks and 3/4 of them are wrong even though I repeated my order when I picked it up and confirmed with them they are correct. Ordering took a few minutes and the rest of the time we sat waiting for a small order...the wait lasted close to 20 minutes after the kiosk said our food was on its way. We drove all the way from L.A. to this Sonics because this was the first one my friend thought of Lol. I think the layout of Sonics is cute Lol but anyways. We had to push the button a few times before we got someone to take our order. The wait time was pretty decent and the food came out hot. I ordered 2 corndogs and some tots, my friend had one of those long hotdogs and some mozzarella sticks. My corndogs were fully cooked and crispy and my tots were so tasty. I decided last minute that I was a snickers waffle cone for the road, the server took FOREVER to answer when we pressed the button. And it was a longer wait time for a simple waffle cone. But in the end I must say that Snickers Waffle Cone did not disappoint. It was sooooo YUMMY. All in all it was worth the trip, but I wont be going there to often. read more

After a call from both the store manager and corporate with an invite back, i thought "Hey, someone does care" I accepted they're offer of 2 free combos on my return visit. The service was just a bit improved, and the orders were almost correct this time! One of the combos i ordered was the bacon cheeseburger with no tomato, but low and behold...i got tomato!! my other combo was correct. The food was a bit better then my first visit, I just wish the food looked like the photos on the menu! The service this second time was a bit long but having to notify that i was on a managers list for this complementary offer seemed to throw off the young girl at the window. She seemed a bit overwhelmed and confused but after she spoke to the manager on duty things started to come together. I was asked for some identification to prove that it was me they spoke with. I was in that drive thru waiting for about 12 min. with no one behind me, kinda strange for a sunday afternoon but there were people at the parked menus. I just wish the manager on duty would have came to the window themselves and deal with me one on one, instead of having this employee run back and fourth! Anyways, i'm grateful that this business acknowledges the problems and tries to correct the errors, contacting me and apologizing and offering me replacement meals was super cool of them...Thanks! i do hope my next visit brings this Sonic an extra star!! read more

I always see those snazzy Sonic commercials with the two dudes who act like a married couple, arguing about whose food is better. Sonic is rare to find here in Socal, so it was nice to see one on the way home from CSUF. I decided to try an Oreo Sonic Blast (similar to McD's McFlurry and DQ's Blizzard). I got a kids' size, which was the perfect size for me. I parked in one of their convenient parking spots, with its own drive thru and payment machine. I thought, how clever! I made my order, and I waited... for sooooo long. I think my order took about 10-12 minutes, and it wasn't even crowded. The Sonic blast was good, but not awesome. The oreo wasn't evenly mixed in. I'll have to try tater tots here! They seem to be popular with the tots. read more

It's been a while since I've been to a Sonic Burger...love the servers on roller skates. It took a minute, or 5 to be able to order & about 20 minutes before we mentioned that it's been a while & we still hadn't gotten our food. It didn't look packed...there were probably 1/2 of the outer spots available, although there were quite a bit of cars at the drive-thru so maybe they were first taking care of all the drive-thru orders before everybody else. BUT because we mentioned we were here for so long, we got our meal comped & we didnt even ask for that. So good call Sonic...the only thing then was that the fries were cold...maybe they figured since we were getting a free meal already. I say good job on attempting to make up for the wait, but we could have gotten fresh hot fries...at least that's what I think. One star because there is not an option for ZERO stars. I was on vacation from Northern California staying at the Marriott Fullerton about a mile away from this sonic. Passed up in-n-out, the habit, even jack in the box all because I wanted to try SONIC for first time. Wrong choice. I did not know what to expect so I pulled in to a drive up spot where I thought it'd be part of "the sonic experience" to order, pay and get served while we waited in the car. O it was an "experience"alright. One that weeks later is as if it was yesterday in my mind. We pushed the button no answer...waited...pushed again....after a long pause.... some static and laughter ...we finally had a live person. I was confused because it seemed I was calling this person at home and interrupting her favorite episode of some funny sitcom on tv. The employee delivered the spiel with a bored, annoyed and just plain rude tone. After I placed our Order, which was received with a series of huh's, Whats, Nos, and excuseme could u repeat that's all I heard was static and Silence.....I was left wondering if our order had even been placed. 10-15 mins of Waiting for signs of Life to come thru the speaker And I decided to try giving them a second chance by going through the drive thru. Again another employees voice came in the drive thru speaker as if I had interrupted their Netflix and chill time. Determined to try Sonic I ordered our dinner for 2 adults 2 kids which came up to a total of around $40. Another employee handed us our bags and politely insisted, "its all there have a good night." I took her word for it only to find out after taking a toddler and Five year old up to our 3rd floor hotel room it was NOT All THERE. Stuff was missing. It was an ordeal going to this sonic. It was not fast food! It was slow rude inaccurate barely edible food a waste of money. The employees working between 8-10pm on the weekend of Friday April 22 2016 were not living up to the sonic brand. This Sonic location is taking advantage of weary travelers and hungry students by falling short in all sorts of ways. In the amount of time it took me at sonic I could've sat at the Denny's next door, ordered a grand slam from a waiter/waitress, received my full and complete order paid my bill ( including tip) for less money, faster service and quality food. Came here last week at around 10:00pm. Didn't get my food until closer to 11:00pm. It's very frustrating when u see people in the drive through who came way after you did get there food before you while you wait at the drive in. This place only had two staff members running the orders and making the food. An explanation should have been given to all cars waiting. It took about 40 minutes before we finally got out of our car to ask one of the skaters what was going on and they had to explain that it was just them running and that they would check on our order. Once our food finally came out we got a small apology never explaining what had actually happened. And half our food was cold, meaning that part of it was done and left out before the rest of our food was even made. This is saddening. Normally some type of compensation should be given in this industry whether it's a discount on ur bill or something offered free for the inconvenience. None of this was the case. I love sonic and I'm hoping that this experience will help future employees understand that good customer service is all you need. Updating your customers about what is going on is the only thing needed to be done. Having us wait and wonder if we should get a refund isn't very productive. This is the crappiest service ever! I was very excited to visit sonic burger for first time after Disneyland but BIG mistake! Drive down 2 miles for better service or starve! I thought the skate to car service would be cool but when pushing button at kiosk to get service no one came to help! We tried walking inside and no customer entrance waited 15 minutes still pressing red button and nothing! How disappointing! So changed to drive thru and their intercom system sucks ass! Another great establishment that helps my lazy ass stay in the car! Awesome! The location here is much better than any of the the other Sonics that I have been to. They are quick and courteous. You even have the option to do the drive-thru. I like when the bring the food out, you can opt to have it hang on your car window and it makes me feel like Fred Flinstone. Their Coney island chili cheese dogs is surprisingly good, and its 12 inch size helps make it quite impressive. read more

Saturday night, after leaving the Sonic in Anaheim, we arrive here hoping to take advantage of the 1/2 off milkshakes after 8pm deal...Not so full, drive-thru line was long but the drive up windows still had open spots, Yes! We pull-up, within 2 minutes they are taking our order. Problem 1: Like the other location, they are out of bananas for the banana cream pie shake - my saddened niece decides on the oreo shake instead. SO we're happy that our order was taken quickly and hope that we'll soon be enjoying our shakes. Problem #2: 40 MINUTES later!!! Still no shakes in hand - yes I understand they are busy, so we kindly buzz them again and they answer - we ask "did you forget about us, we've been here for a while?" Guy says, "Sorry, we're a little busy, but your order is coming up next"...Good, right? Well, about 2 minutes later our shakes arrive - Hooray!! well, sort of - as I begin to sip on my Oreo shake, I noticed it was not as thick and creamy as I remembered...It was kind of "melty". I do not like my ice cream melted, let alone my milkshake - So I was not satisfied, Was it that they had made our shakes and left them there sitting for a long time and they began to melt? That is my theory, and I'm sticking to it. Not a good experience. Also, my hubby ordered the Salted Caramel Shake, he said it was too salty. Yes, salty is in the name, but really it was extra salty (I tasted it) - Again my theory of it having sat there for a while before they brought it out. So, bottom line, not a good experience.
