Don't expect any sauces. I like to use the app when I order, and when I click on X item it says that it'll come with Y condiment. Great! I drive home and look and the bag... no sauces. Next time I stop by they tell me that they don't actually give you the sauces unless you ask for them because it "saves money" and they don't have to hand out sauces that people don't want. I ask if that means I just need to click on extra sauces in the app and they say yes. I try it, still no sauces. Now they tell me that the app doesn't even tell them if I ask for a sauce and I need to ask the carhop if I want any. I do, and they never come back out to my car. I shouldn't have to jump through this many hoops just to get some condiments that are supposed to come with my meal. read more

It's a pretty good Sonic and the people who work there are helpful and polite. The food is always good The onion rings are my absolute favorite. They also make amazing milkshakes and Sonic Blasts which I know are popular. Ambiance is fine. Of course it's a drive up restaurant where you eat in your car, but it's pleasant and relaxing. Hint:. I ordered a small chili cheese coney. I asked them to be sure to put enough chili on it so that it looks more like the picture; I'd be happy to pay for more chili, I just wanted plenty. The guy laughed and said "So, a regular chili cheese coney." They brought it out with slightly enough chili so that you could tell some was on there. I just called in again and asked for a side of chili instead of complaining. A woman made sure to clarify and asked me if I wanted a large amount or just a small 3 ounce; I said that 3 ounces would be plenty. $3.28; menu price is .99. Went to get a strawberry sundae and 2 bites in there was a FLY mixed into the sundae. It was in my mouth, the manager on duty apologized. He asked me if I wanted another one. Absolutely not!!! So. The ONLY reason for the one star is this place is so busy and the workers seem so overworked and overwhelmed. One time I had a car hop who brought our ice cream to us and she was almost in tears. They are in serious need of a new building, new parking lot and probably some team building, probably better pay, better management I could expect. I was excited to read recently they are getting a new building. Hopefully the franchise operator starts investing in their people. And then there was the one time my son ended up with a huge shard of plastic in his slush. Maybe less of that for sure. read more

It was nice to find Sonic in Junction City. We were in town for a wedding and it was the night before. Not much to find out in this area except the usual fast food. Granted Sonic is fast food but I'm a sucker for their drinks. I find their car hop service entertaining. It reminds me of the old A&W drive in's from years past. This Sonic has super Rude employees we eat Sonic more than we should. And what goes at the Sonic in Manhattan does not go at this one. How about a standardized set up. The only time we eat at the JC Sonic is when we don't have time to drive all the way to Manhattan. They are constantly changing their rules I made the same order a week ago and not I cannot order the same way today. I am done with this location. Cool sandwiches that should be hot 10 minutes after pick up. The Cookies and Creme Concrete had the concrete mix on the top 1/2 inch? Really? It is SUPPOSED to be throughout the shake.. I don't understand how the other reviews could be what they are considering my experience at this sonic. I pulled up, ordered, and received my food in less than 2 minutes. After I received my food from the more than pleasant carhop, not 2 minutes later another car hop came by while I was eating and presented a sauce tray in case I didn't have enough salsa for my burrito. Not one piece of trash was on the ground on their patio. I was blown away. ALL of the sonic's in Wichita (where I live) should take notes from this location. Im still blown away. Food is always cold, like it's sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Cooks are super friendly! Parking lot is always trashy though. It seems like they don't even ice the sidewalks for their employees when it's iced over. The carhops are usually super great and cheery. Certain managers aren't friendly, and treat their employees like dogs the few times I've walked in the door to ask for extra napkins and such. Awful. Never going back. They fired my favorite carhop Bree, best service ever each time! read more
