As I rolled out of bed, and trudged out of my front door famished this morning; I had but one intense craving. A craving for one of my favorite breakfast establishments... the local Sonic drive in eatery. For years this Sonic has done nothing but please me, and keep me well fed. This morning... that all changed. After ordering the famous "Foot long 1/4 lbs chilly cheese dog" I was appalled by what I found. To my utter dismay I had been betrayed, bamboozled and swindled by one of the finest eateries Killeen TX, has to offer. Last night I decided to go to Sonic. I was craving their Ultimate meat and cheese burrito which are amazing. My order came in a timely manner but then I opened my burrito and this was what I seen. I asked the carhop to speak with a manager because this was clearly unacceptable. The manager on duty was Shawn. I explained my displeasure with the item and he fixed it right away with a smile! Do you know how long I've been DYING to try Sonic? I mean, San Francisco is sorely lacking in that department, and when I heard that they had three (THREE!) here in Killeen, the first thing I said was that they had to take me there one way or another. So within the first few days of arriving here, I finally got a chance to go there. In all my excitement, I ran out of the house in my pajamas and got into the car. Doesn't matter anyway, right? It's a drive-in; it isn't like they're going to stare me down for wearing pajamas, anyway. Soooo, off we went! I was so excited - I was bouncing around in my seat and yelling at my friend to drive faster (to which I was given a dirty look for - hee). I know how sad that sounds, but I'd been wanting to try it for years and I'm finally getting a chance to? HELL YEAH, I HAVE ANTS IN MY PANTS, BUDDY. Ahem. So anyway, we got to the drive-in. I'm sticking my head out the window and staring at the menu. I can't decide on what I want. After about ten minutes I hear, "WILL YOU HURRY UP?" To which I whine in reply with, "I don't know what I waaant!" Another ten minutes go by. Finally, I have my order. A Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster sandwich. Medium fries. Oh God, do I want a creamslush? I have a real relationship with this fast food joint. I really do. I mean, we hold hands and everything. 'Soulmates' is a real theory, folks. I'm living the dream. But for real, living in San Francisco where there are no Sonics was torture. I saw commercials, I heard peopled rave about it, but there was none for me to try. So when I moved to Central Texas in '09 and heard that there was more than one within the same city, I was thrilled. Ecstatic. Overjoyed. Overwhelmed with happy. All of that. From their cream slush to their flavored teas to their sodas, their milkshakes, their smoothies and their regular slushes, they had everything to fulfill a girl's dream come true. Their burgers and sandwiches and other little noms are not bad, but it's their sweets that really get my gears rolling. The time is 7:27pm on a Sunday night when we place and pay for our order. It is now 7:58 when we finally drive off with our food... cold and soggy. This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever witnessed. We tried placing our order as i was hearing others try to do the same, the woman on the other side of the screen could care less and had "trouble" hearing every single person out there tonight. Someone had to come out and take it by hand while missing and adding a couple things. Being already frustrated we didn't bother in correcting them. It wasn't until we got our food that we realized they forgot important items so we placed another order. Once again with a side of attitude. Once we double checked everything we realized they forgot another thing that we payed for so we let them know and they made us give everything back and once we got our food back it was cold and disappointing. A lady with a bad attitude came on to take my order. I felt rushed & she interrupted me saying she couldn't hear me. I repeated the order but no answer. I waited. So.... Food is never to greasy the fries never to salty and the crispy chicken sandwiches are always steaming when I take a bite into them I love it. I usually do not go to this sonic, but now I wont ever go back. Just now a friend and I got food for us and his family. We ordered wings, a hamburger with ketchup and lettus only, a peanut butter shake, a chocolate shake, and a bannana shake. When they brought us out our food we had to send back the burger because it had cheese on it (even though we specifically said no cheese) only to have them bring us back another one still with cheese. We also ask for ranch a few times and they never brought us any. Finally we get back home and gave everyone their stuff only to find out a few minutes later his moms chocolate shake ended up being a coconut shake (which shes allergic to), but luckily she only had a small reaction. read more

I love Sonic, but I will never ever eat at this one again! My husband was finishing his limeade and took off the lid to get to the ice, and there was a dead fly in the middle of his cup. I then called to complain to the manager and she tried to say I made it up! She said I could come get another limeade..but um no we will never go there again. She was very rude. I never have wrote a review before but this just made me so mad. Make sure to look under your lid before you drink their drinks!!!! read more
