After 3 weeks of being open, because it's been so crowded, my family and I finally went! We were so excited when it opened in Manassas here. When we went through the drive thru, still crazy busy too, we had placed a big order for our family and I usually will check to make sure we got everything before driving away...even with the smallest order...and I thought I did but I didn't check everything apparently. We were missing our two tater tot orders. Ended up realizing this after we got home. I went back receipt in hand and explained to them about what happened and that it was a big order so we weren't upset about it because we know it happens and can happen anywhere. My husband and I finally went to sonic tonight because he really wanted a milkshake. After waiting for about 30 minutes in the drive thru, we finally ordered. The guy seemed really distracted but whatever, they're obviously busy right? Took us another 10 minutes to get up to the window, and the person mumbled our total and took our payment while loudly joking with a bunch of coworkers who seemed to be just standing around. We got our shakes and food and went home. My husband took two sips of his shake, and found something stringy. Today I woke up with a craving for Sonic. I have been a number of times and have never been as truly disappointed as I am today. I ordered at the ONE drive in spot with the screen that was open. I am guessing they were understaffed cause it is Black Friday as well as all of the drive up spots + the drive thru were blocked by cones. My food came out pretty fast, or at least must faster than it usually takes at this location. I got a Sonic Cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, onion rings, and a strawberry slushie. I started off with the burger and it was pretty good, the slushie was also good. However, when i got to the chili cheese fries, I was pretty disappointed and honestly kinda grossed out. They tasted like fries that sat out for a day, were thrown back into the fryer the next day and were left out again. The only reason they were warm is cause the chili and cheese was hot and made half of them slightly soggy, the rest were crunchy. It was weird. When I had my first onion ring, they were cold. Not room temperature, just cold. They were also overcooked. Overall most of my food did not seem fresh whatsoever and I prob will only ever come back to this location for a burger. I do not recommend it for anything else besides the burgers and drinks/ice cream. First time ordering something at Sonic beside a shake. I ordered a Cheeseburger meal with onion rings. The onions rings were ok. The cheeseburger was absolutely gross. I didn't know sonic slathered their burgers in mayonnaise. I could not eat it. When I got home I took the burger cleaned it off. Put it in a fresh bun and than had it . The burger still did not taste very good. I know now if I ever want anything from Sonic just stick to the shakes and not the food. read more

Yea its a no from me.. besides the blue raspberry slushy. The food here is a flop! Not worth the long wait time and when they did get out our food the burgers were cold and didn't taste fresh.. almost like it was already made and was sitting for the 40 minute wait time we endured. The loaded tots and mozzarella sticks were highly recommended and popular but that within itself fell flat. The tater tots looked like someone vomited and shit all over it and the mozzarella sticks were nothing to brag about. You can tell they just through some shit together just just to keep it moving. I have been there twice. The first time was a week after they opened. There were about 12 cars ahead of me in the drive thru but I thought it should be pretty quick. I was in line for 1 hour and 20 minutes. By the time I got my food it was cold. That tells me the cooks did their job but the front staff failed. It would have been faster for me to drive 50 miles away to Winchester. I went again today Oct. 20, 2019. There were 5 cars ahead of me in line. It took 35 minutes for me to get to the window to pay and the food was again cold. I have been going to Sonic for over 40 years and this one by far is the worse. Incompetency at it's best. read more

This place is okay as far as Sonics go. I'm originally from the Midwest, where Sonics are common, so I grew up with Sonic. Even two months after opening, this location could stand to be more efficient. The stalls are frequently closed, which backs up the drive thru. This particular location is not (currently) on the Sonic app, and Google says this place opens at "12" on Sundays, even though I've been there on Sunday mornings. I'm going to give this place more time to iron out the kinks, but we will see how it goes. read more

This is not a Sonic. There are maybe 6 or 8 places to pull up and order from and that is when they don't block the spaces. It's easier to drive to Fredricksburg where they have a real Sonic. Went to Arby's next door instead since couldn't order outside. read more

I love Sonic. I come from a town where there were 2 Sonics-one on the opposite end of town from the other and they were both great so moving here and finding a new sonic not too far from my new home, i was so excited. I've been to this location at least 5 times now and all i am have to say is I'm disappointed. Every time i come, i order their mozzarella sticks with ranch and they NEVER give me ranch. Only marinara. Even when i clarify that i ONLY want ranch, they still give me only marinara. I'm not angry, just disappointed. Every time i come, i think, maybe I'll finally get ranch when i order it. And they charge extra for it and I've never received it. I know it's something small, but if i order something and pay extra for it, I'd at least expect to receive it. Long story short, I'm very disappointed in this location. read more

Our experience (and my review) is exclusively based on the curb side service. We did not go inside. We were able to pull up right away (slightly after dinner hours), order easily and our food was delivered to us very quickly and the car hop was very polite and make sure we had everything we needed. The tater tots were yummy and the kids meal got two thumbs up! The best part for me was the Vanilla Strawberry Dr. Pepper with real purred strawberries. Can't beat that! So I went to Sonic in Manassas yesterday after seeing numerous ads on Hulu streaming while I was hungry. I used to love Sonic when I lived in Charleston in 2017-18. The Manassas Sonic is the closest to me... So the service was great and friendly but my disappointment began when I was informed the Chicago style hot dog is now only on the menu seasonally and I couldn't get it. The food I got (two All American hot dogs), a medium Diet Coke and a large Vanilla Shake and Mozzarella sticks. The hot dogs were okay but the relish is too sweet for me. The Mozzarella sticks were good and the portion is much bigger than similar priced portions at BK... and you can't beat their Milkshakes. But I still wanted and want Chicago Style Hot Dogs when I go to Sonic - come on Sonic Management put the Chicago Dogs back on the menu - all year long, the other two styles can NOT compare. We want, no WE NEED Chicago Style Hot Dogs when we come to Sonic, they are the BEST meals to accompany your awesome milkshakes. read more

This is the worst sonic I have ever visited. Two weeks ago, I used the app to place my order. When I arrived at the location, carhop Ronald brought my food out. I checked my order and things were missing. I pressed the red button and told the cashier things were missing. They told me things were out of stock and I could pick something else. I expressed I didn't want anything else and asked if they could refund the items. Ronald comes back to my car saying it is too much work to refund those items and gives me my receipt with the number to corporate. I reported the issue to corporate and least six times now. They have offered me a coupon for something less than what I paid for. I told them that was not satisfactory and I wanted my money back. I'm still waiting for my money back. read more

We ordered through the app but that was a mistake and I really wish we had gone through the drive through instead. It took them 47 minutes to bring us our food, but they got our order wrong. But we didn't give a shit and just ate what they gave us because we were hungry and just, honestly...pissed. My brother had to get out of the car 4 times to try and see what was going on but nobody was inside. I honestly felt bad for the waiter who brought us our food, he looked exhausted and worn out. My wife and I drove from the Dale City/Woodbridge area to Sonic in Manassas VA and was VERY disappointed. Our first interaction with the employee taking the order (over the intercom) turned out to be very unprofessional. Her attitude was disappointing as she was aggressive in tone and even short. After asking for multiple items they have on their menu they had less than half of what we were ordering. No ice cream, no milk shakes, no mozzarella sticks, and more. I ended up purchasing a number 1, which when I received the item looked less than appetizing as my pictures will show. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend visiting this food establishment as they are not only unprofessional but also lack in the food and desserts they are famous for selling. read more
