Then we waited about 10 minutes to get our order (a chili dog, a foot long chili dog, regular fries and a soda). When Kallie brought the order, I picked up a soggy, cold fry and asked her why it was cold. She sheepishly said I don't know. She did offer to remake it. Went to Sonic for some milkshakes for the family. I'm not sure if they were understaffed for the night but we were given slushees even after confirming we had ordered milkshakes. When we tried to get this fixed, we were told that slushees and milkshakes were the same thing and were handed back our items with a shoulder shrug from the guy at the window. We ended up going elsewhere for another order, but it seems that there are either not enough staff or not enough staff who care to be there. I hope this gets better someday! read more

Let me just start off by saying that I've only been in Arizona for 3 days and I've already been to this Sonic twice, so I guess that means I'm a fan. I had never been to a Sonic before because there wasn't one in the area I lived in Washington, but my husband talked about them ALL THE TIME! So once we moved down to Maricopa it was pretty much a given that we would be going pretty soon after we got here. The first thing he noticed was that it isn't a full car hop like the ones he had been to before. You go through the standard drive thru lane and give your order to the giant speakerbox but then afterwards you stop and wait and someone brings out your food and takes your payment then. He wasn't too fond of that but since I didn't have a prior knowledge of how it was "supposed" to be done, I thought it was pretty cool. The food was very good for a fast food place. The first time I got the popcorn chicken meal with tator tots and a cherry-limeade slushie. All of that was great and the slushie helped my sore throat feel a lot better as well. The second time I got the extra long coney chili dog with chili cheese tator tots and a strawberry-limeade slushie (I'm not too adventurous with my drink selection yet). And let me just warn you, when they say "extra long" what they really mean is this hot dog is longer than your forearm. Needless to say I was not able to finish even half of that monster. The tots were awesome with chili and cheese and I discovered that I liked the cherry-limeade over the strawberry, but that's all just personal preference. The service was good, everyone we talked to was friendly and chipper. The second guy who came out to our car apologized for the wait even though I didn't notice one. I guess it took 3 minutes instead of 2 to get our food or something. I liked that they go through all of the food to make sure that everything you ordered is there and made correctly before they have you pay for it. Most fast food places I have to sit there and go through the bag before I leave to make sure they didn't screw something up or give me someone else's food. Sonic is definately a place I will be going to again if I'm in the mood for some good fast food. read more

This was my first time visiting this Sonic and it was a terrible experience. I ordered a small Banana Split Master Blast and it was literally vanilla ice cream with ONE banana chunk. The picture shows it as ice cream blended with strawberries, bananas and chocolate chips on top. The receipt showed I paid for that item and the guy even said it when he brought it out. It wasn't like it was mistaken for vanilla ice cream. Totally not worth $3. I don't understand how the people that work in there could think that was acceptable to serve. It wasn't even close to what its supposed to be. Its a shame I didn't notice until I was already half way home. My boyfriend was also dissatisfied with his root beer float. Only go to Sonic because my granddaughter loves the tater tots. Today's her birthday so I picked up her favorites: Tater tots, burger, and cherry limeade. Also ordered a cherry limeade and small order of boneless chicken wings for myself. Got home and went to unpack the food. Tots and chicken were packed upside down so they spilled all over in bag. Neither drink had cherry or lime wedges. You pay enough for the food, they can at least prepare it right and pack it right. read more

After my previous bad reviews I vowed to only come to this Sonic during Happy Hour for half price drinks. Turns out they can't do that right, either! Came with hubby and daughter who both ordered those drinks with the Nerds in them. We went through the drive-thru...get halfway home and ask my hubby if I can try his, so I do and I say "well the cherry part is good but I didn't get any Nerds"...he says "yeah I didn't taste any either" so we open it up and there are NO NERDS. Open up our daughter's and...NO NERDS there either! Not worth driving back just to get Nerds...just highly disappointing, although not surprising. read more

This Sonic NEEDS help. The popcorn chicken tasted like deep fried fish. The staff was super rude. The wait was 25 minutes for 3 cars. I prefer fresh so had the orders ahead of me been food items, I wouldn't have minded as much. However, this was during the happy hour 2-4 rush. I got my order in barely in time at 3:59 after waiting for 10 minutes in line. Both orders ahead of me only ordered drinks. There was no one in the lobby that I could see so I'm not sure how busy they really were. I think this location is understaffed and under trained at no fault to their own. This is the the worst Sonic Burger I've been to. The young lady who took my order on the phone wasn't polite or patient even though the restaurant was empty. She told me that the ran out of bottled water. Are you kidding me? In the middle of the Arizona desert you run out of bottled water? I asked who's job it was to order the water and she responded her manager who conveniently wasn't there when we were. Tap water tasted like it came out of a rubber hose. Speaking of water, there was water (?) all over the men's room floor and my daughters said the ladies room was filthy. Food was marginal at best. This is the 1st ever food review I have ever posted....We should have know this would turn out to be a bad experience when we had to tell the drive thru associates to turn on the menu board lights so we could see the menu to order. I wish I had checked our order before we drove off, our burgers, buns were soggy and cold, as if someone had spilled water on them prior to wrapping them, the onion rings were burnt black on one side as if they were on the grill to heat them up which caused the breading to fall off. and of course, we didn't realize all of this until we got home, 6 miles away, unloaded our groceries and sat down to eat. I attempted to call the store several times but never got anyone to answer, after several rings, it went to fax mode. I wanted to give the store mgr the opportunity to resolve the matter but no answer. I attempted to fill out a survey from a link on their receipt but you need their store # to complete it, which coincidentally is not found on their receipt. I went online and found a corporate toll free number and was able to reach someone who took a formal complaint and will be issuing a refund. Yes, this is only fast food but if they are raising the minimum wage of our fast food workers which in turn raises the cost of the food being served, we could at the very least be provided with edible food. I only gave 1 star to be able to submit this review. I hope this reaches the franchise ownera, looking at the other reviews, this seems to be a more than an isolated incident. read more
