Absolutely disgusting cold cheese cold fries first and last time .Need new management obviously

This place frustrates me beyond belief I only go for slushys and it is about 30 minutes drive from my home. My last 3 visits were as follow Visit 1 : there was someone in the drive thru telling people they didn't have enough people working to take any orders. Visit 2: Slushy machine is down and will be fixed in a day or 2. ( also only reason I go is for a slushy in the summer ) Visit 3: approximately 2 weeks after visit 2 , slushy machine is down and told it will be fixed in about 2 weeks... I've never once had to call a fast food place in advanced to see if they are open , when they should be open , or if they have things that they advertise they have. I honesty have bought myself a slushy maker because of this place being so inconsistent. I wouldn't go here if I was you I have driven from milfords sonic to wallingfords sonic all 3 times I listed above and each time it was a pleasant experience and would highly recommend. read more

I had a great experience at sonic this week. I popped through the drive-through for a quick burger and iced tea. They were out of iced tea, but the server was very apologetic. I ordered a lemonade instead, and it was absolutely delicious with the double cheeseburger. I was surprised that in the drive-through window my bag included ketchup packets and a decent amount of napkins. It was an unexpected, very pleasant experience. read more

I'm usually not about the one or two star life. But, sonic has rapidly declined. I understand that this is a fast food establishment, but the service is lackluster and sub par. It seems like it's operated by a bunch of kids who would rather be someplace else. Trust me I get it but if you're working in the service industry you should provide some level of service. I used their app to get my beverage discounted and when I pulled up to the drive through I was told that they could not provide it to me through the window and I would have to come in...for them to hand me a beverage?! So I drove back around and parked, to walk in, just to have my drink handed to me which could have been done through the window. The young lady behind the counter asked me if I ordered grape. I told her no and provided her with the flavor I ordered. She proceeded to lift the top off of the beverage to see what it was. Had it been the right drink I would have been further annoyed. This place needs a visit from corporate or the franchisee as soon as possible. I've gone to the Meriden location but it has been a long time. Perhaps I'll go in that direction the next time I crave a frozen beverage. read more

Ordered chicken tenders that had been sitting out and refried. Justin comes to the window asking why I needed new tenders stating that "they're clearly hot" as he pulled apart the tinder to show me that there was steam. I informed him that my problem wasn't the temp but the taste. And this unprofessional being began cursing, screaming, and yelling. He is a disgusting human being. I had to threaten him to call the cops for a refund and have him on tape saying "what the fk are the cops going to do to me?" My reply oh so you're above the law. To be an owner. Justin is a poor representative of the Sonics brand. My sister is in from Chicago and I kept bragging about the food, and service so she wanted to try it. However...i went to do my family's order (1st time ordering Sonic) notice they have cheeseburgers but no hamburgers listed...but they do have an active 'special request/instructions' field. Taste your food before you leave. Stuff like fries I mean. The ice cream is good & so are the slushees if the machine it works that is... You could easily find yourself in a situation where your waiting in line for 30+ mins just to find out that it doesn't work. read more

It was my first time here. I ordered the chili cheese dog along with French fries and a strawberry shake. I gotta say it was pretty tasty. I even went back to order a corn dog which was really good too. Service was super fast and the oke who brought out my food was really sweet. this place is terrible. they constantly mess up orders, they do not clean their ovens, and the staff is as disrespectful as people can get. they constantly ignore and disregard what their costumers have to say, and if they mess up orders, its the costumers fault. the food had little black specs all over, from an unclean oven im assuming. i genuinely feel sick to my stomach not just because of the food, but of the service and how unwelcome and disrespected i was. its a shame because when the food and service is good, its great, but i have had nothing but negative experiences here for years. do better. read more

Do NOT come to this Sonic. It has the slowest service I have ever experienced. The food was fine but we waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes. The line was only 3 cars long but when we were at the window we could see three employees just standing around without doing anything for multiple minutes. I would give this place ZERO stars if possible. I've been to this establishment maybe three times since they opened. The first time was wonderful but the other times were not so much. One time, we ordered up front and ate inside. Our order came out in a not so timely fashion and incorrect. I just visited today around 5pm and one woman was ahead of us to order inside. The cashier takes the woman's order and then says to me that the woman ahead of us was the LAST patron to order inside and they were only taking orders outside. WHAT! I came to Sonic to get an item that I had been thinking about all week (cookie dough blast) only to be turned away. This Sonic has always been a complete disaster. During my three visits, the person working the cash register inside has to take orders inside AND deliver food outside; leaving the front vacant and customers will leave if orders are not taken promptly. The cashier during my visit today said the kitchen was short-staffed and could only handle orders from the outside car-hops. There was a whole restaurant filled with people who were eating and gotten their orders SOMEHOW with a short-staffed kitchen. Get it together! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have gone to this location numerous times. Everytime they screw something up. I asked for a #1 with no cheese add bacon. What did I end up with? A burger w cheese and bacon. I don't think it is that hard to listen or even ask a customer to repeat an order. On top of it another time I have gone to this location there were no sides, no fries, tots, or cheddar peppers. No corn dogs either. Another time I have gone they had absolutely no ice cream which is absurd because they are known for their milkshakes. The staff is very rude, they don't say "have a nice day" or even acknowledge when I say thank you. The staff does not like making any sort of adjustments to the meals either. DO NOT GO HERE!! I went to sonic today with my fiancé and we got their new pretzel bacon dog and told them one without onions on it and they gave two with onions so we said something about it they gave it back with no onions but they changed my bun to a regular bun instead of the pretzel bun and we said something about that also then they told us they were out and can't and won't but yet we saw in the back them doing pretzel buns which was unprofessional and bad service I've already had a hard day and this just topped it off welcome to sonic in Danbury ct for bad service and bad employees who can't do their jobs read more

Very glad I can get a cherry limeade fix in the middle of a blizzard or heat wave without having to travel far from home. I even got one with a mint which I've never had before. cute touch :) Their tater tots are delicious. The cheesecake bites are a tasty dessert. DO NOT GO TO THIS SONIC!!! I arrived on a sunday at around 10:45. Me and my sister were driving back from NY to boston after clearing out the last of her apt. We saw sonic and were delighted, pulled into the stall to place our order waited around ten minutes then learned that the stall was closed and opened at eleven, we figured we would pull into the drive thru because that opened at 8 AM. So we pulled into the drive thru (a fatal error)... this is where it went sideways to say the least. First we ordered a Corndog explicitly requesting mustard because WHAT IS A CORNDOG WITHOUT MUSTARD??? She said it would take about six minutes for the corndog, we hesitantly agreed because we had already WASTED 15 or 20 minutes. After my sister got a number one with no cheese. we ordered our drinks and she repeated our order sounding like she had just rolled out of bed. We reluctantly pulled through to pay and pick up our food with optimism. We waited a few minutes, paid, and recieved our drinks and food with no problems yet. I opened the order and I was stricken with horror... there was no mustard for my corndog. I decided that the mustard was crucial to the corndog so my sister parked and I tried to enter the sonic, MAIN ENTRANCE was locked. walked around the building and the other door was locked. so i decided to stand in the drive thru line in my pijamas and fuzzy christmas socks in the middle of august and ask for mustard. The drive thru was anything but cars driving thru. I must've stood there for ten minutes while my sister laughed at me from a parked airconditioning car enjoying her cold burger. I decided to call it quits after around 15 minutes and a load of embarrassment later. I had never been to sonic before so I thought I would give it a try and ordered a breakfast burrito. I am not a picky eater by any estimation but this was truly the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. After two bites I threw it in the garbage. Before I threw it away though I opened it up and discovered there were maybe three or four tiny crumbles of dried up scrambled egg, some kind of an identifiable substance that looked like it might've been pale gray sausage or some thing.... 1 star service because my experience was based solely on terrible customer service. Last night myself and my pregnant wife decided to indulge in one of her cravings at sonic. When arriving at 9:45 PM, we were greeted by nothing but ATTITUDE. There was no one available at the drive thru speaker so we pulled up to the window. An employee didn't even make eye contact but instead yelled, "WE'RE CLOSED". I just stared at her and then my dashboard clock because this establishment closes at 10pm, not 9:45. This employee proceeded to Approach the window, open it and rudely tell me, "we're closed, it's just me here." I said "Oh, do you close early on Tuesday's?" And she said, "yes, I'm the only one here, my coworker is leaving." Before I could respond, she shut the window in my face. I always have an issue at this Sonic. Tonight I went through the drive-thru and ordered my food with no issue, surprisingly. I got to the window and gave my card to pay and the cashier told me they weren't accepting cards because the system went down. I understand that technology has its issues and is not always reliable, but I didn't have any cash and was not told that the card machine was down when ordering. I informed the cashier that I didn't have cash on me and his reply was 'Then you can't get your food'. No apology or anything. If the card machines go down customers should be informed prior to ordering to avoid everybody wasting their time and ending with less frustration. read more

I am so disappointed to be leaving a negative review, but hoping whoever owns this particular Sonic locations takes notice and makes some big changes. I love sonic and have been going to this location for years and have been there many times during the pandemic. Wait times etc aside, the parking lot is filthy. Filled with trash. When I went there last week the menu display was broken, and the parking lot was completely littered. When I ordered, I didn't have a problem but the fried items tasted like the fryer hadn't been changed in a while. I also bought a slushy and had to throw it away bc the ice did not taste right and smelled like cherry + dirty mop water! I'm assuming the ice maker hasn't been changed either. I understand they are short staffed, but that would cause long lines and wait time. There's really no excuse for the filth. I'm hoping they clean up and stay opened but until then, I will not be returning. read more

If you ever you want the worst hot dogs this the place to go I ordered a footlong Coney I was very disappointed. when taking the hot dog out of the package all of the toppings that was on the hot dog came right off so I wound up eating a plain hot dog. And the service felt rushed the clerk didn't ask if I were eating in or to go there wasn't any kind of utensils to at least scrape the toppings off the bags and put it in the hot dog. Parking lot was trashed! Garbages full to the point of overflowing. Restaurant was trashed as well. Tables and floors had garbage and were sticky!! There was no one at the counter to assist anyone, but you could hear everyone having a 'party' in the back. Our cashier came out chewing on something wide mouthed. We've only been to this location a few times and are not familiar with the menu, so we asked three cashier to repeat herself... due to the chewing. She became very frustrated with us to the point that our 4 year old asked why she was so mean!! We get to our table and half our order was missing. Same cashier had her break at one of the tables with her phone on speaker having a completely inappropriate conversation! Will NEVER go to this Sonic again! read more

Who manages this restaurant? how is a CHAIN this horrible for this long? Every time I come here the food is gross and the sodas taste like every soda in the machine.
