*******UPDATE****** Decided to stop by and get happy hour milkshakes with the wife. Got a "master blast" and it was horrible. Mostly whip cream, the toppings were just put on top, I was hard pressed to find any mixed in. Stopped about 1/2 way into it when I noticed RED mixed into the ice cream. I had gotten cookie dough and brownie.... So nothing red should have been in this shake. It could have been only one of a few things which I don't want to speculate on, but still. Downgraded to one star from two. ************* I will lead by saying this sonic is disappointing to say the least. I've had sonic in the south and somehow they do it better. The food I get from here always tastes stale and is pretty lukewarm or just cold. That really ruins it for me. However, the drinks are always on the money. Get a slush or a milkshake when they do happy hours and you'll be a happy camper. All in all, I don't care to drive all that way just to get a cheap milkshake or slush and not some good hot food. If I'm in the area, sure, but otherwise just go somewhere closer. read more

Always good service. Never a complaint with them. Love their shakes and chicken tenders. Their breakfast burrito is also very good.

the worst sonic ever, i placed a mobile order this morning and pulled into a stall. I sat there for 15 minutes and no food arrived. I pushed the button and a woman from the drive thru window screamed at me from across the parking lot that I need to "bring myself to the drive thru because it's closed". This was a ridiculous interaction and when I got my order i was told i'm not allowed to have my cold brew in a route 44 cup which i paid extra for. I only got a large and it was made terribly and was missing my french vanilla. My other drink was also made wrong and my breakfast burrito was stale. This isn't the first bad experience I had at this location but this is definitely the last time I will ever go back here. read more

Disgustingly understaffed, and extremely poorly managed. Sonic, get with the times, dining rooms have been opened up already. There's should be no reason your drive through has 15+ cars waiting for food. On top of that, majority of the staff have an attitude and they waste time by gossiping and not working. This store deserves-0000 stars. We waited in the drive for about 45 minutes which is ok. Then I had to ask for napkins, sauce that I wanted, not what they decided to give and they still got the order wrong. I went back to tell them and they directed me back in a even longer line. Sonic is a throw back to my college days in the south. When I saw one in Ct outside the mall I HAD to stop for the cherry limeade and those tater tots! I came, I ordered and before I could get to Orange, I conquered the meal. Tots were fresh and hot and the limeade was just what I remember. Unlike other reviewers I didn't have any service issues. My boyfriend and I have never been to Sonic despite living so close to it for years. I went having expectations for lots to choose from. Which they definitely did, but we both went with the Sonic cheeseburger 1 with fries One with tots. As soon as we opened it up the grease was all over the wrapper of the burgers and grease soaked tots. The burger itself had no flavor at all despite being so greasy. It was like the patties were soggy and tasteless..maybe expired? Or in the freezer so long all the flavor dissipated? It was a let down since it tasted like we were eating a lettuce, tomato and onion sandwich lol (soggy too) Of course how could the tots be bad right? Nope they were so oily and unsalted and lacked flavor also. Just tasted like old shredded bland potato. The fries are nothing to write home about either. Sonic was a huge letdown. Looking in the kitchen area through the drive thru window it looked in disarray and dirty. The workers were so nice and polite. They put ketchup and napkins in the bag without having to ask. Im glad I didn't order a shake since I just read the reviews now and it said they were watery at this location. I wouldn't recommend their burgers or tots at all. Horrible service. Employees were rude. Waited 40 minutes for service just for a couple ice creams. Other people were taken car of in those 40 minutes. Were told when calling from a booth that there was only 3 people working but there was 7 they just didn't want to take the order. Friends and I went to wendys for frosty i stead. Time before a friend and i ordered popcorn chicken and a burger. The burger was gross with stale bread as well as cold. The popcorn chicken was hard as a rock and cold. We both ended up getting sick from the food. *UPDATE: 5/7/18* Went to the same sonic since it's the closest to where I live. Went with a friend, service was faster. We got two shakes. One being banana cream pie and the other was cheese cake. Mine tasted okay not that great. My friends tasted horrible. Didn't taste like cheese cake. Also tasted like they put strawberry in it. When I tasted her shake I almost vomited. It was disgusting. Tasted sour. When the car hop came back with my change I told her how it tasted and she said she would see if they could remake it. When she came back to the car she said they "ran out of ice cream." We didn't believe her. We sat there for another 5 minutes before we bith started feeling sick. When I dropped her off and arrived home I ended up throwing up and she ended up stomach sick as well. Will never be back to that sonic again. Two words: tater tots. Sonic is a run of the mill fast food joint just like McD's, BK, and Wendy's. They're almost a notch above the others because they use higher end bread in some of their sandwiches and you can tell that they're chicken is actually chicken, but it's a tiny notch nonetheless. Just like any drive through, check your order before driving away. Pardon my language, but screw the guy waiting behind you. I'm not driving around to get back in line to get food or drinks I should have gotten the first time around. My recommendation is not to knock on Sonic like it's some awesome new restaurant that failed to impress you. It's fast food - therefore it's fast - meaning it's frozen and likely cooked at a super high temperature in all of about 30-90 seconds. Our first experience here was in the restaurant itself and it was less than stellar. We waited about 30 minutes, but thankfully our order came out right and the food was actually good (again - not amazing or mind-blowing - but it was definitely better than any chicken sandwich McD's offers). Drive through now - several months after the opening - isn't bad at all. It gets busy during the week during lunch hours, and occasionally on Saturdays and Sundays between 11am and 2pm. If the food was really that horrifying, it would be out by now, just like the Arby's that was there before. The service isn't fantastic but again, check your order before leaving, and you'll be fine. read more

Food is decent however it is usually wrong, the amount of items ordered is ALWAYS incorrect and the employees are rude and careless. From the first moment it was downhill. Attitude as soon as they answered the drive thru. Instead of telling us they were out of certain toppings they just let us order. We pull over to eat as only drive thru is open. The sandwich to the number four was bare. When went back through they were annoyed because they didn't have the toppings so we should just take it as is???? read more

1 Star is too high for the service we received for 2 cold beverages. A soda and an iced tea took 15 minutes. The girl at the register was quiet and clueless. She kept leaving the register to go behind the wall. After 12-13 min I asked if I was in the wrong place and how long does it take to prepare 2 cold drinks. She had disappeared behind the wall again to retrieve our drinks. We had ordered 2 large drinks and got 1 large 1 medium. So not only did it take so long IT WAS WRONG!! Decided to stop here maybe mid afternoon after seeing advertisement for Double Stuff Oreo Waffle Cone, sounded good, when we went to order it "oh we don't have any of those", so they told us to push the button when we're ready again, so we did that and had to wait again for someone to answer for our order, this time we ordered a chocolate shake, "oh we don't have any of that either"..... so we finally push the button and wait again for a third time and then they actually had the shakes/ice creams we wanted, the banana shake we got came warm at room temperature at best, and the reese's shake was just overload with reese's and peanut butter it was overwhelming, and then we ordered a cherry limeade to go, came room temperature also with no ice.... won't come back to this one, next time take the drive to wallingford and hopefully it will be a better experience.... read more

VERY VERY UPSET!!!!! I drove 20 min, since my kids wanted Sonic and Milkshakes. After getting to this location in Milford CT, I found out at the drove thru menu board they aren't accepting cards only CASH....ugh your kidding me....ok so I go to an ATM to grab cash since my kids were starved. (Luckly there is one right next door) After ordering 5 separate orders spending $40...and waiting a bit I get my drinks and a very over stuffed bag of food. I asked the cashier is this all of it, she said yes. Welp my fault for not checking of course we drive 20 min back home to find out three sandwiches missing.... And if that's not bad enough the sandwich size we did get looked like a kids meal sandwich....for $9 meals we should at least get a full size burger. Went here at about 9:30 on a Thursday night. Hit the drive through for just a peanut butter banana shake and a candy slushee. After a long wait on the drive they line I finally got to the window. My candy slushee came out quickly - and that's where this good review ends. Seriously - why did I need to wait another 13 minutes at the window for a damn peanut butter banana shake ? I honked my horn. Knocked on the window and was ignored. Did they forget my shake ? Were they that busy ? Ok they were busy. - but why give one drink and give the second over 10 minutes later and be completely ignored by the girl working the window. Ridiculous. Good food but the employees are awful. I ordered from here on Uber eats a few times and every single time there were missing items, cold food, or wrong items. Not only do the employees manage to ruin your order every time, but when I called back and kindly told them that I was missing items, they responded rudely with answers like "ok" and "what do you want me to do?" I understand with and Uber eats order they aren't responsible for refunding me, but at the very least they can be decent human beings. I love the food here but it's a shame the employees (at least the ones I interacted with) are assholes with horrible customer service. Needless to say I won't be ordering from here for a while. I don't feel like spending $40 on cold and missing items and having to rely on Uber eats to refund me. This business should really reconsider who they hire if they want to make more money. read more

This place is dirty! I went through the drive through because the car hop is still not functional. I waited in the line for at least 30 mins. Got to the window paid and drove off. I look in the bag completely wrong order! I'm already annoyed from waiting in the drive thru for a half hour. Now I had to go in and see what happened. Get in there a RUDE lady with long braids ( to long to be working around food. Didn't even say anything. I said I got the wrong order. She goes in the back and tells them. She comes back out takes someone else order. As I'm standing there looking around the place is filthy and dark. At the same time other people were coming in and at this point I'm standing there 15 more mins I said I just want my money back . She doesn't even go to the back to tell them to stop making the order. She's standing at the register repeatedly trying to refund my card. For about 10 mins. As this is happening she would not acknowledge other customers that coming in. Very very rude! Finally she gets my money back to me at the same time they came out with my order because she never canceled it. Btw when I was in the drive thru there were only 2 cars ahead of me so it shouldn't have taken that long! I am absolutely appalled by the customer service here. I decided to come with my family to get some slushes and we pulled into one of the kiosks, waited 25 minutes to have our order taken, but instead we just watched the drive thru pass and other cars being served. We asked an employee if the kiosk worked and she said to try another. Wait at the other kiosk for another 15 minutes and its a bust. Decide to try the drive thru.... what do you know it's all the way around the building now. I would not recommend anyone to give this business your hard earned money. Truly shameful. read more
