Update: I received a phone call with an apology shortly after I left my review. They not only compensated me for my trouble but when I came in to cash in on the compensation, the manger went over and above in customer service even though they were having a particular busy night. That's the way to do business right. Thank you. I came here a week ago when they completely messed up my order. Because of my tight schedule, I couldn't get back to fix it so I called. The seemingly nice person on the phone took my name and my order and said I could come back for a free meal. One week later, I come back for my meal and it's not written down. Do I have my receipt? Nope. Wasn't told to keep it and I try to keep my car clean. They won't honor what hey told me because someone else failed at their job. Shay (the manager I spoke to today) wasn't particularly sympathetic or helpful. It seems to me that this is how they get out of fixing their mistakes. I ordered a plain cheese burger with only cheese and ketchup and instead I only got meat and bread. My friend asked the worker to bring out a slice of cheese but then I quickly added that it'd be easier just to remake the burger but instead this worker(Grace) rudely said "thats not up to you but thanks". Stopped by with my daughter for a quick easy dinner. My daughter wanted a kids jr burger meal, I asked for cheese on it. I use to work for Sonic so I know the kids burgers comes with ketchup mustard and pickle. They made my daughters burger like a Jr. Cheesburger with mayo, lettuce, onion & tomato but no cheese. Of course I only noticed when I got allllll the way home. Tried calling the store and no one answered so obviously I couldn't tell them they messed up because now I had a daughter who didn't want the burger after I picked off the stuff. The girl who served my food wasn't the happiest either. Although I did give her a $2 tip because they make servers wages & I know how stressful that job can be, she just said thanks and walked away. Honestly I love sonic and i have never had an issue regarding this location ever. However, I worked all day and have not ate and was excited to grab food on my way home. They told me a 5 mins wait and it was totally okay. Sadly, that 5 mins turned almost into 30 mins and then the worker approached my car just to tell me they lost my ticket and they were closing the kitchen. Doesn't mean I won't go back cause I totally will and the young man was super polite about it but it would've been nice if they would've come to me sooner to ask my order again after sitting there for a while and watching everyone else get there food. read more

I come to this location all the time because it's right near my house. My favorite things to get is a powerade slush and mozz sticks. I don't eat meat, but I drive here with my friends often and they always get burgers or chicken. We've always gotten quick service, and nothing forgotten that we ordered. Once I went to the sonic on union hills once after work, because I didn't want to drive to the other one from the other direction that night. When I ordered, they didn't even know that there was a powerade slush on the menu. I've only been to this location after that, and every employee has been super nice with good service. My mozz sticks are hot and perfect, and now I go often for a slush when I want to be in a good mood after work. I like this location a lot, so I hope that they get some stars added to their rating, because I think they deserve it. read more

Just ordered a burger for myself and one for my daughter. We went through the drive thru and when we got home the burgers were freezing cold. Didn't expect much which probably contributed toward being pleasantly surprised with what we got. Wife ordered the chicken sandwich and tots, and I got the double cheese bacon burger with onion rings and a cherry shake. Both sandwiches were better than expected... the chicken was tender and not over-breaded, and my cheese burger, while overcooked, was big and on a par with places that charge double or triple for the same product. The tots were fried just right and the onion rings were run of the mill but less expensive than you'd pay at other places. The shake was ok (they forgot to include it in the order so they quickly made it and didn't charge us), but it should have been thicker. All in all, a decent meal for two in the range of $16.00. We won't make a habit of it, but it's not a bad option in a pinch. Oh, and the service was quick and pleasant. read more

Our first impression was terrible as our carhop attendant was not very friendly she handed me back my CC and walked away. Didn't even say a word. I didn't even get a chance to ask for ketchup or offer her the tip. I drove back around to drive through and asked for ketchup telling the girl how the carhop attendant ran off. She said we will get the ketchup out as soon as we get a chance! By the way she said it I knew she would not be in any hurry. I pulled up and waited....finely I got out of my car walked up and opened the door and asked politely to several people standing there if I could please have some ketchup. A man handed it to me and I told him thanks and that I believe the staff was rude and I would not be back! And that I would also share on Yelp my experience there. He was very upset by his staff customer service and apologized then did everything to correct our issues. I must say I do feel for the managers who must deal with those brats who's parents are making them work!! They truly have no interest in being kind. Thank goodness for the adults there who know the importance the customers have on how successful business will be!! The manager was awesome and had amazing customer service and appreciation!! After reading all the bad reviews of this location I thought it could not possibly be as they say. It was. I waited in line for a while in a drive thru lane only to hear "I'm sorry but our systems our down so we cannot take any more orders." Didn't think there would be anything worse than the order mess-ups at this location. From adding the wrong flavors or missing them entirely, to the black man who was going to serve us tonight. We pulled into stall 5 at around 10:20, looked over the menu with my girlfriend and I just to get something for the sweet tooth we all have, and was greeted immediately by a black male who seemed to be yelling in his microphone. I typically wouldn't provide race in a matter of review, don't want people to get the wrong idea, but I have never seen or heard this man working the location before. I used to work in the same plaza so I thought we would have a decent experience since it's closer than the one on 67th and Happy Valley. The worker seemed to either be yelling or had his microphone in his mouth, because when I hit the red button, my ears felt like they were bleeding in seconds. I first asked if we can order through the stall and pay with cash. The worker immediately began to laugh at me, and when he regained his composure and asked me to "repeat my question." I did as he asked, just to be greeted by more heinous laughter and told "Once you see a place on the stall to insert your money, you can let me know, until then I'll let you figure it out." Before he ended the transmission I asked if a carhop would be able to come out and take our order because we only had cash on us, he laughed some more and said to us "yeah sure, we can have one come right out and help you." He didn't say the scripted 'Have a super sonic night' or anything of the sort. He instead ended the transmission before anything else, and picked up an order from the car in stall 4 right beside us. It was so infuriating that a worker could act like that, especially when Sonic is known for their customer service. Not to mention the slurring of words and giggling, it lead us to the assumption that he was under the influence of some sort. Will only be back for drinks. Terrible experience! Started with the ordering, I'm speaking loudly but they ask me to speak up more because they can't hear me. I think it has to do with the loud music right overhead the ordering spots? So I am actually sticking my head OUT the window YELLING my order, they still can't hear me...someone comes out to finish taking my order. She actually got it right on the screen, I'm impressed! They bring the food out, repeat everything on the receipt (all correct!) so perfect. Get it home and realize they put relish on my hot dogs that were ordered (and confirmed) as no relish. Ok, no biggie, I scoop it off best I can. Take a bit and it's COLD. Not even room temp, COLD. I live less than 2 minutes from this Sonic, no excuses for that! It was so disgusting. I was at this Sonic location on Tuesday 27th,2018 about 11:45am. All I ordered was a bag of ice and a Small tater tot with cheese. There were 2 cars in front of me that received there order within about 10 minutes, then a couple sat down in there front seating area. They were quickly served. The odd thing was that we did not see any exchange of money. Looks like this couple knew the employee on duty. Nonetheless we were still waiting on our SMALL order. Then another car pulls behind us and receives there order. Another employee then asks us what we ordered. At that time we decided to leave. We have been going to this location for years because it is within 5 minutes from my house. However,we have been disappointed more than a few times. I tried Sonic again with my mom after years of her saying it was awful and nothing special. We were hoping that it was better. Nope not at all. The food is not that great. Just microwaved frozen food. I wasn't expecting a lot but it's the kind of food you eat and 5 min later your stomach is churning in agony. The shakes we ordered were watery, all melted. We asked for a new one and it was the same thing. Rather get a shake at mcdonalds. It was so gross. I can't even imagine what the slushes are like if the shake is all melted. i would not recommend working here, the manager comes in to work high every single day, the manager lies about being able to be flexible with the time schedule, 2 of the managers there who IS A COUPLE just stand around and watch everybody work and kiss in the back, the only hard working manager there is hannah! they work you hard literally TO DEATH for nothing, the manager doesnt put anybody on the schedule for a week because he wants to work all the shifts and it makes it harder for the only couple employees that work there when it's very busy and then the next week he puts everyone on the schedule to the point when payday comes nobody has ANY money not even the shift manager. uh oh and don't be a different race other than caucasian or you will definitely be treated differently. if you would like to get a first job or just wanna work somewhere but you need ACTUAL money please go to mcdonalds, jack in the box, or just work retail because this sonic will have you pulling out your nose hairs. read more

I am extremely disgusted and disappointed with this Sonic location. Not only did it take approximately 15 minutes to get french toast sticks and a corn dog, but once I received the corn dog I had waited so long for, I was repulsed. It looked like it had been burned horribly, but if someone had seen it without knowing that it was made 10 minutes ago, they would think it was completely rotten. It baffles me that someone could look at that and think it's okay to serve it to a paying customer. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Not to mention, the other time I went to this location, I ordered a pretty decent sized order for my family, and I asked for a blackberry lemonade and I received a regular lemonade, and they even repeated "blackberry lemonade" when they read out the order as they brought it out. HORRIBLE!!!! No wonder they only have 2 stars, unfortunately I'm forced to chose a star when my choice would be zero stars. The management there (Trinity) has absolutely NO customer service skills! I was given a drink carrier for 5 drinks in which the lids were not completely put on. Discovered this on the way home when the drinks soaked my lap and the seat in my brand new truck. Missing part of my order and all of my kids condiments, I called back to the location. I was put on hold for 16 minutes and finally hung up. It took 7 phone calls before finally being able to talk to someone. The employee who answered never apologized and with a horrible attitude said she could give me a new drink but that it might not have been their fault for the drink lid to not be completely on, as if I did something to it myself. She proceeded to tell me that whenever she gets a drink, she checks the lid and that she also spills drinks in her car all the time implying I should be ok with this in my car because she is. If you're checking the lids on your drinks as you claim, then why are you always spilling them in your car?! She said she could give me the part of the order I was missing and again no apologies and completely rude about it. I brought up the missing condiments for my kids meals and her rude response was "those are free, if we didn't give them to you, you can get some next time." Next time??!! At this point I asked to speak with the manager and low and behold she tells me she's the manager. No offer of refund because apparently if you order thru the app, it's corporate who has to handle it. No apology for inconvenience. Instead I get an attitude and rudely told that if I don't like it, I can call corporate because she doesn't have time to deal with my complaint and then hung up on me! In this time, when restaurants are a luxury and not to mention a risk, shouldn't customer service be a number one priority?? I've been going to this sonic for over 10 years and it's slowly becoming worse. I'm glad there's a new one on 67th ave that has been great so far compared to this location. When I ask for extra sauce, I expect more than one tiny sauce for a LARGE combo. And when you say you're gonna charge me for extra, I expect to get the EXTRA sauce in my bag. My food was delicious and served quickly I really don't know why this Sonic only has 1.5 stars. It is by far the best Sonic I have visited in the Phoenix area. Came here at 10:50 (they close at 11), employees are probably ticked because we came right before close, an employee left right around that time & shot us a dirty look while leaving. When we ordered there were 2 separate orders. Myself & my boyfriends friend ordered 2 separate orders & when the girl showed up at the table didn't greet us or anything. Literally said nothing. Didn't announce who's orders were who's, just set our bags down & walked off. The most awkward & uncomfortable situation ever. No one here was nice, I smiled at the girl when we showed up (she was outside spraying off the concrete)... Totally gave me a dirty look & turned away. This place needs new employees because this isn't the first time my food has been cold or drinks watered down. Not coming here again that's for sure.
