I'm in this area frequently to visit my sister and I never head home to Surprise without stopping at this Swig. Though this location is always busy and can be tricky to get in and out of, I've found that they always make my drinks correctly and I'm always greeted by a friendly staff member. I love the ice pops they have in the summer and my go-to drink is The Founder (with light ice and no wedges). Looking forward to returning soon! read more

I have been coming here since this location originally opened as the soda shop. Unfortunately, the management has deteriorated overtime, and the quality is actually quite terrible. For example, tonight I waited 40 minutes in the drive-through line, despite having order ahead of time on the app.Terrible customer service and unacceptable. I got in the drive-thru line at 9:52 on a Saturday night and got to the window at 10:02. After letting the cars in front of me order, they told me they were closed. When I told her that I had been in line since 9:52, she got short with me and rudely told me there was nothing she could do and walked away while I was talking to her. I waited and asked to talk to the manager. I asked the manager why they didn't come out and block off the drive thru lane after the last car that would be served. She said she went out at 9:50. That doesn't help if you don't put up a sign or some kind of barrier! I went 20 minutes out of my way and arrived 8 minutes before they closed. The fact that they can't serve SODA to people who are physically there before closing time is absolutely ridiculous. If both of these women would have been kind and explained why they could no longer pour me a soda even though I was there 8 minutes before they closed, no harm, no foul. But I refuse to give my business to establishments that treat their customers with disrespect. I will NEVER be giving Swig my money ever again, and I encourage everyone to go to a different location where you will almost certainly be treated with more respect. read more

We happened to be leaving Arizona around 9 a.m., which was right when this Swig location opened. We were among the first customers of the day, and let me just say...the woman working the window was absolutely radiating positivity. I don't know if she was hyped up on Swig herself or just naturally that upbeat, but she made our morning. She helped us get set up with an account (I thought we already had one, but no big deal), got our drinks quickly, and even recommended we try the chocolate chip cookies... which we did, and they were great! Everything about this visit was just smooth: * Super clean * Fast service * Our cups weren't sticky (a pet peeve of mine with some drink spots!) * She even offered us extra napkins knowing we were about to hit the road for a 6-hour drive back home. We pass this Swig quite often, but have not made a visit inside the shop before. While a friend was visiting in town, Swig has been on her list, so it felt like a perfect opportunity to check them out. They offer a great lineup of specialty drinks that are precrafted, seasonal drinks, build-your-own options, I mean really the options are endless! You are able to utilize their drive-thru or go inside. The drive thru and overall shop is pretty consistently busy and parking can get a bit hectic, but they do move efficiently! I am not a huge pop drinker, personally, but definitely can appreciate the hype and beverage option within the community. That being said, I just shared with my husband and let him take the wheel! He loves a classic Italian Soda, and opted for the Tigers Blood flavor, which is watermelon, strawberry and coconut with soda water and a bit of half & half. They did not have Italian Soda's on their menu, but the staff knew what to do and was able to help my husband order correctly. My husband loved this little treat. Our friend also loved what she ordered. which was the Big Al. I do appreciate a good Cherry Limeade, so definitely would like to try one of those on a future visit! We found the prices for this particular beverage to be super reasonable for a 32 oz for like $3.75 or so, but I have heard other friends mention how it can increase quickly as you add more things, so I am sure it can range! The lost star is because my husband did visit a few days later with another friend and his kiddo, he ordered the exact same beverage, but it tasted completely different. We did notice the labels that are attached to it did have it listed differently, even though he ordered it the same. This could clearly be just a difference in the way they were rung in or made, but was a bummer nonetheless and makes it hard to figure out how to order it in the future. The staff seems to be a group of younger adults, but they were so friendly and seem to be doing a great job overall. Hopefully we can solve the mystery on the drink discrepancies and figure out the way to order it, but is a fun option for a drink treat. read more

I have been dying to try swig since I found out they existed and finally got to go during spring break. My son and I ventured out the 20 minutes it takes to get to our closest swig. I decided it was time to try it despite the distance. When we pulled in, it's clear that this location used to be an old school diner/drive-thru and the street appeal is very cute. It has a tiny covered patio with seats and tables (maybe only one I can't remember) and nice greenery. It was busy so there was someone outside taking orders and he was very kind and helpful for our first trip. He gave me lots of options based on my soda preference and I ended up with the spring fling. I described it to my husband as a pina colada with a hint of strawberry flavor. Truly delicious. We were bummed because our location was sold out of the mini chocolate chip cookies so my little didn't get to try anything. For the price and the distance it was only okay, but I hope to go back in the future and get to try another drink and get my kiddo his cookies (I hear they're excellent). read more

Just visited this place for the first time this weekend, went through the drive-thru since most of the parking spaces were taken - definitely seems popular with the neighborhood! The staff member who helped me was very polite and offered suggestions once I was able to pull up to the menu. (I would suggest having something printed for the drive-thru staff to have handy for newcomers. ) I demolished my drink before I could even get home, it was so tasty and not overly sweet. I also tried the regular pretzel bites; they were good, but did taste like they'd been popped in the microwave - I feel like I would like their cinnamon sugar pretzel bites more, so I'll have to give those a try next time. Ok this was our first time at a Swig but not our first time at a soda stand. We really liked it. The drive thru was super quick, I felt bad we were holding up the line a bit trying to decide but the options are a little overwhelming! They had an employee out with an iPad taking orders and she was super helpful and nice. We got a Lifes a Peach, Beach Babe, and some cookies. The cookies in a cup feels a bit ridiculous to me! Even sharing it's just a lot, I don't really understand it. Would much rather have 1 regular size cookie or maybe the option for 3 or 6 small ones in a little treat bag. The cookies themselves are just ok, but nothing super exciting to me. The Lifes a Peach was decent, my husband's Beach Babe was fantastic though!!! I don't even like mountain dew but it was awesome. I am in love with Swig. We were first timers since there aren't any in CA. We visited 2 times during our 3 day trip to Phoenix. It was definitely worth the drive. The girls who took our order both days were both friendly and efficient. Just be forewarned, the lines are looongggg and it can be difficult to get in the line since it could be out to the street. The first day I ordered a regular dirty soda and my husband ordered the Life's a Peach and the pumpkin cookies. The second time I ordered the Guava Have It and my husband ordered the Perfect Pear. The dirty soda was so good, the coconut was really strong (which I like). My husband liked his Life's a Peach more than his Perfect Pear, but still enjoyed the Perfect Pear. And I really liked the Guava Have It as well. Super different than the dirty soda, so I'm glad I got to try both. The pumpkin cookies were soooo good. Please come to CA! Swig has a lot of potential! I got the Dizzle and my husband got the Bomb Dot Com. They were out of pineapple for mine so they subbed in passion fruit. I'm not a soda drinker and definitely should have gotten a sparkling water drink. The coconut cream in mine was really good, but the sprite taste was strong, so lesson learned. We are regulars at Swig, we are here almost daily besides Dutch Bros. Most of the workers are pleasant, however we didn't see the sign and came in the other way (the side on Brown) by accident. The girl came up to us (she had brown hair) and we genuinely apologized and asked if we could come around again the "right way" so we didn't cut, but instead she gave us a rude lecture and treated us like she was a parent. By the time she was done lecturing us and yelling at us, we would've been through the line again and already leaving with our drinks. Anyways. We love that we can swap whatever sodas we want with items on the menu, such as diet coke instead of regular coke. The inside of the building kind of smells like vinegar, but hopefully with them refurbishing the inside the scent will die down. I will say, I also feel that the way Swig does rewards is kind of dumb. I feel like I never have any rewards or you can't just use part of them on an order, it has to be all of it or something. But besides that, we absolutely love Swig and will continue to be regulars here! read more

Swig is a very unique soda shop. They serve sodas such as Coke and Mountain Dew, but in numerous flavors to infuse the sodas to another level. The drinks were delicious, and they have a very good dessert selection. They serve an excellent chocolate chip cookie, I definitely suggest trying it if you enjoy chocolate chip cookies. I'm writing a review for the Swig on Brown and Gilbert. Each time I go I'm stuck in line, because someone is randomly having a conversation for 15-20 minutes, while people have to go to work. I tried one more time, and a girl in front ordered 5 drinks, stuck again for 15 minutes, instead of having her park...she held up the entire line for 20 mins. The staff is young, and does not understand how to keep lines moving or how the nature of business works :( It's def. an issue and won't be going back. read more
