While I have always found the food to be decent here, the service often ruins the entire experience. Being the only Sonic location left anywhere near me, I came just to try the "Picklerita" slushie. Ordering on the touch screen was a major hassle. They got it wrong over and over. When it finally came up as "correct" on my screen? I was relieved and was hoping I'd get the right food. The food I received was correct, except my 2nd drink was wrong and it cost me an extra $2 for something I did not order. Really? Our food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The staff here was super friendly and took my order super quick that I was honestly very shocked when I received all my food and it was all correct! The screen to order form was very easy to read and paying was even easier. A few minutes later, the girl came out with my food and asked if I wanted any sauces. I decided to get a garlic toast burger and my friend got some chicken nuggets. The burger was cooked perfectly, with the cheese melted and it was the perfect amount. The meat was seasoned nicely and there was the perfect amount of toppings on the burger as well! A little too much mayo for me but that isn't their fault. The chicken nuggets were crispy and juicy, the perfect combination. I also got a side of fries and they were salted perfectly and so hot that I had to let them cool for a little bit! The location was pretty clean and I even liked how they all introduced themselves by name when they were taking the order or delivering the food to my car. Prices are pretty reasonable and they even have "happy hour" food choices that are a couple dollars cheaper then other time throughout the day! read more

Just ordered for the 1st time (thru delivery via Uber eats). I haven't eaten at Sonic in years and was surprised by the great value of the guilty pleasures they offer -- even through a 3rd party app. Our order was packed perfectly and they took note of most special requests, including switching the flavor of the regular shake from vanilla to espresso coffee with Oreos in it -- YUM! I believe they forgot the peanut butter as I couldn't taste it in the shake, though. The big, juicy double cheeseburger was surprisingly good -- tasted similar to McDonald's, but without the McDonald's price tag. Coney foot long hot dog with chili cheese was GREAT, sooo hit the spot! All in all, a great delivery experience. Side note though: living in Treasure Island and this Sonic being in Pinellas Park, I probably wouldn't order the shakes for delivery again as it arrived half melted (that's my bad!). read more

This location has steadily gone downhill over the last few years. Orders being wrong, bad customer service, etc. Just this morning, at 10:30am, I sat in the drive-thru for 5 minutes with no contact. I said "hello?" but still no answer so I drove to the pick-up window and knocked. No one came. I called the store and, after several rings, finally had a girl answer the phone. I asked if they were open and she simply said "yes" then hung up. Several seconds later, I saw a guy come around from outside the store to the window (perhaps was in the restroom? ‍) who told me they were "busy" - no other cars were there - and that I would have to go back around because he couldn't take my order there. This place deserves no stars. The "smash burger" is their regular frozen burger, not smashed, tastes like frozen patties that have been put in the microwave. Sad to say that our experience with Sonic, has been terrible. We decided to order through the drive-thru, the employee taking our order (female) wasn't heard clearly due to the feedback coming in and out from her microphone. Drive-thru services attendant went over our receipt, they still managed to give us our order incorrectly missing three items and still mentioning what was missing and they still Kept forgetting one. What amazed and discouraged us was how the employe had extremely long (blue/cyan) acrylic nails with no gloves on whatsoever. Meanwhile, employees should not be allowed to wear acrylic nails and with that length because they are a health hazard. This I believe is taught in the ServSafe food training class they you require you to take upon employment. read more

When you order food here you may or may not get it in a reasonable expected amount of time. I placed my order at 9:07 PM and it's 927. I told them to flip off and keep the food because they still have not brought me my order. The last time I went here they got my friends food right but my order was completely wrong and I had to drive 5 miles to come back and get food re-replaced so I do not recommend this Sonic to anybody. read more

Unfortunately this location is awful. They always have mobile ordering turned off, so you cannot receive any of the discounts associated with it. They rarely have the stalls open, so you have to wait in the drive thru line. I wish they would go ahead and close this location & open another in St. Pete proper with actual staff. read more

This is the only Sonic on the peninsula. It seems like it is barely surviving. The parking lot is a mess. The building is dilapidated. I tried going three weeks ago and caution tape was up and the business was closed that day with no explanation. I tried again last week and the app showed it was closed for an hour. Horrible experience tonight. We drove from Downtown St. Petersburg. We arrived at 11:57, Sat in line until 12:21. When we got to the speaker to order the worker said they were going to have to close.
