This was my first Sonic meal, a late lunch. I had seen lots of commercials where the Smasher looked good so I got a two patty combo with Tater Tots. The sandwich was tasty and juicy, cooked to order with plenty of fresh condiments. Tots were hot and crispy. Service was friendly. I will probably try the app next time to see if that decreases the wait time although at the drive thru you are dependent on the cars ahead. I have to say this has been some of the worst customer service I've experienced. For the past week, I've been coming to this Sonic because my wife loves the Route 44 Strawberry Limeade. I order the exact same thing every visit. Today, I ordered the same drink and also switched my drink to a grape slush. At the drive-thru window, I handed the cashier my money. She forgot to give me my change back, so I waited patiently in the drive-thru. After about five minutes, she came back to the window with a rude attitude and asked, "Are you waiting on something?" I politely replied, "Yes, I'm just waiting on my change." She then tossed 75 cents into my hand and said, "We're out of change," without offering an apology or any explanation. That's simply not how customers should be treated. I overlooked the poor attitude from another employee earlier this week, but this seems to be a pattern at this location. The drive-thru speaker is constantly cutting in and out, making it very difficult to hear the employee taking orders. When customers ask for clarification because they genuinely can't hear, some employees respond with an attitude as if it's the customer's fault. It's not. Management needs to fix the speaker system instead of allowing employees to take their frustration out on customers. As a supervisor myself, I would never allow this level of customer service in my workplace. Treating customers with respect should be the standard, regardless of equipment issues or how busy the restaurant is. I hope management addresses both the malfunctioning drive-thru system and the customer service issues at this location. Until then, I cannot recommend this Sonic based on my recent experiences. read more

I don't normally leave bad reviews, but it's like they are trying to be bad. The app rarely loads at this location, so I usually can't get the deals on the app. When I can order with the app I wait indefinitely at the car port even after telling the app which port I'm at for delivery. After waiting a true 15 minutes, I push the button and wait about 4 minutes for someone to answer, who tells me to go through the drive-through. At the drive-through window they take their time. (I have waited 15 minutes for a limeaid.) After driving off I have found, 3 out of my 4 times, that my food/drink was wrong. Also, this location has an indoor seating area. But they use it as a storage area and if you go in they will send you... through the drive-through. I like Sonic. I used to go there often in my home town. But after spending over 50 minutes trying to get drinks 4 different times, I am done giving this location another chance. Make sure to check your bag to see if your order is right. Workers talk like they have a third grade education. The place looks run down. Food is good. read more

Avoid this sonics, I placed a mobile order at 5pm on a Saturday, no one came out, tried to walk in and the doors are locked, called and they said it will be right out and they locked the doors as protocol. Went through the drive through and no one answered, saw many cars try and then just left, these workers are lazy and just don't want to work, I finally got my 2 drinks after waiting for 30 minutes by talking to a manager. This place is PATHETIC!!! ---STAY AWAY!!! We paid $7 each for "Master Shakes" just plain vanilla and a strawberry. Get home just outside Webster and realize BOTH shakes are peanut butter which not only did we not order but we have peanut allergies. So we Called the store on Jefferson rd and the guy tells me, " youre calling about the shakes right"? Yeah I am. He said "I asked if they were yours and u saw they were larger than what u ordered and took them" WHAT THE F??? They looked like what a $7 shake should look like to me!!! I asked what he was going to do about it. He asked me what I expected? I said I can stop by again the following day after work. He said you are welcomed to but the shakes are not free. Worst Sonic ever. My granddaughter and I frequently go to Sonic to enjoy a good iced tea. The Sonic on Jefferson Rd is PATHETIC! The service was terrible, I waited in the car for 30 minutes after ordering mobile pickup. I sent my granddaughter in and there were two other people who were waiting for goodness knows how long! All of the terrible reviews here are accurate. This location seems to be intentionally providing poor service. In our case, we ordered on the app, which said to pull into a stall and provide the number. Then we waited... and waited. Meanwhile, we noticed at least 6 or 7 cars abandoning the drive-thru in frustration. But since we already paid, we waited a full 30 minutes. We couldn't go into the lobby to ask because it was locked. We tried calling the store and it just rang and then hung up. Eventually, we went to the drive-thru, waiting another 10 minutes to talk to someone, and told them what happened. No explanation. No apology. Two stars instead of one because the food was at least somewhat edible and the person who took our order was pleasant enough (combining our order items to save us a couple dollars - even though it wasn't worth the money that I *did* pay), but that's about all this location has going for it. I drove in and parked at a screen to order for myself and a friend. I ordered, and, after confirming the order and paying, it took quite a long time for our order to be brought out to the car (even after the screen said our food was on the way). When it did arrive, our sandwiches both looked like absolute messes. My banana milkshake also lacked any flavor... the only real indication that it WAS a banana milkshake was the brown banana at the bottom of the cup (I didn't drink 75% of the milkshake, instead letting it melt throughout the day before stirring it around to try and FIND banana... then ultimately just throwing it away). My friend and I came here because we kept seeing these commercials and thought it might be a fun stop, especially to get milkshakes on such a hot day. Alas... not so much. I was craving a milkshake so I decided to stop by on my way to the grocery store. I walk up and the doors have signs on the GM that say "Our lobby is currently closed, but the drive-thru, stalls, and online ordering via the app are still available". Okay, that sucks a bit since I had neither a car (I take the bus) nor the Sonic app, but I'll order on the stall. Thankfully the weather's fine, or I would have just left since I had nowhere indoors to wait. Not the end of the world. I go up to the drive-in stall since I don't wanna stand in the drive-thru and press the button to order. And then I wait. For ten minutes. No one ever takes my order. I contemplate walking up to the drive-thru to ask, but I have to catch a bus in eight minutes and if it took 10+ minutes to TAKE my order, I don't want to see how long it would take them to make it. For the record, my order would have been one small classic milkshake. I unfortunately couldn't afford to miss my bus so I had to just leave. Kind of ruined my afternoon. I guess next time I'll order a single milkshake in advance and pick it up when I get there. The car that was ordering at the drive-thru when I got there was sitting at the "receive your order" window when I left, and I saw several cars which were sitting at stalls leave before they got their orders - some to go through the drive-thru and some to just leave entirely. So it's not just me who was waiting forever to have my order taken and then receive it. And the place wasn't packed with people, either, so it wasn't just unnaturally busy. Only reason it's not one star is because I have no idea if they're just short-staffed, if something bad happened in their lobby and they had to tenporarily close it, or if the service was actually just that bad. Maybe they have info on their website. Who knows. I've had food from Sonic before and it was fine, but I didn't actually get to eat anything this time around. Don't bother going here unless you have a lot of time on your hands - they may be severely short staffed. I placed an order online and the drive-thru was the only way to get the food. Pushing the red button in any of the stalls did not result in anyone answering me, which is what the online order process instructed me to do, and the doors were locked at 6pm on a Saturday. I had to wait for a half hour while the 6 cars in front of me went to the drive-thru, placed their order, waited for it to be made and then pulled through. Out holiday shopping with friends and wanted something quick to eat. 35 minutes after we pulled into the establishment we finally had our order! Went to the stalls to park and place our order. Pushed the button and got no response for 10 minutes. Noticed there was nobody parked in the stalls except for us and another poor soul just looking for some grub. Got fed up and went to the actual drive thru. Wanted 5 minutes before someone responded with what can I get you. Placed our orders for a few combo meals and cherry limeade's and sat at the window for another 20 minutes before the food was handed to us. By far the WORST Sonic I've every been to! I made the mistake of trying to get a burger at this location of Sonic in Henrietta on Jefferson Road. I first went to where you drive in and wait for a CarHop and nobody responded to me after at least five or six minutes so I went to the drive-through menu speaker and ordered something off their menu a quarter pound double cheeseburger what I got and was charged for was a supersonic type burger at twice the price even though I ordered the less expensive burger and repeated it twice at the drive-thru speaker. The person at the window gave me a non itemized receipt with just the total and when I questioned that she took it back and gave me a receipt showing the more expensive burger and my drink when I questioned that I had ordered a different Burger she argued with me that that burger didn't exist although it's on all their menus when I asked for the manager she said she was the manager and then said she would give me a refund she took back the larger burger and I had to wait for another burger and my refund and at that time when I complained about the service she blew me off and then a male employee came up and said he was the manager and wanted to know what my problem was because since I had gotten a refund and my correct Burger he didn't seem to think there was any issue at all with my customer service. Both these people were rude and obnoxious and there is no way I would recommend this place to anybody. But needs to be done as whoever owns this franchise or if it's corporate owned needs to either retrain these people or fire them and find somebody new to operate this location. read more

Found a FINGERNAIL in my Sonic blast. It was mixed in and I ate almost half before I got a piece of unusually hard "Butterfinger" and spit it out to see a huge piece of blue green nail in my hand, complete with under-the-nail dirt. DURING A PANDEMIC. When I called and asked to speak with a manager, she supposedly was the one that answered the phone, and I said "I found a fingernail in my ice cream" she IMMEDIATELY went on defense and said "No one in the ice cream area has fake nails today." I didn't even say it was a fake nail, but she was ready to argue and imply I was lying. She told me it was impossible. She even listed her day shift staff saying "so and so doesn't have fake nails, so and so doesn't have fake nails, so and so..." and offered to let me come check their nails. Appalling behavior from management after I just paid to eat a stranger's fingernail. When we visited here we waited a long time as they handed the car ahead of us thier order one piece at a time with delays between each thing they handed them. One of the burgers in our order was supposed to have no onions. When we checked one had a sticker on it saying that it had no onions. However, it was on the wrong burger. The word supersonic should be struck from the dictionary. Because this Sonic is anything but super. Owned by the famous Hedgehog, this chain has some of the worst food imaginable. I usually give them three stars because their banana milkshake is actually really good, with chunks of fresh banana in it. But for this particular location it usually seems to be a rotting banana - like one of the brown ones - and I don't like the taste of that at all. One small counter top to place your order, then grab a seat .... only a few inside and out. I do like how they bring you your order right to your table. I had to come in for their 50 cent corn dogs... surprising very good!!! Also had their 59 cent grilled cheese.. perfect bite sized gooey goodness! Fries were ok... wish they had free refills on soda drinks.... Have yet to use their drive up and order line... where they roller blade your order out to you... but hey I don't like eating in my car lol There is also a regular drive thru.... still need to try their frozen drinks and custard options.... definitely a fast food place, service is good, prices are affordable.... but it's a bit greasy... yum but that is needed every now and then! read more
