The food at Sonic is always made fresh. This I greatly appreciate! I love their classic hamburger & limeade. They have a variety of drink choices. But the regular limeade has always been my favorite. The customer service at this particular Sonic has never been the friendliest. Do not expect happy service with a smile, or employees that go above and beyond for you. And service can take a while unfortunately. But the food is always consistently good. And that is what I continue to go back for. Quality, fresh food cooked well every time. The drive thru & car side area are open. Which make it COVID safe, due to less contact with people. Sonic has a drink happy hour Monday through Friday from 2-4. Half prices all drinks! Ordered two route 44 lemonade slushes and three of the new sour patch kids floats, the individual at the drive through REPEATED the order to me but when we got to the window and paid for 5 drinks, we only got four and the young lady told us we only ordered 4 items, despite having read the order back to me. When my husband mentioned that we were missing a drink the young lady rolled her eyes and closed the window telling us we had only ordered one Route 44 lemonade slush. I don't think I've ever had "fast food" this slow in my life. How does it take almost 25 minutes to prepare a small tot and medium tea when there's only one car in the drive through? The only reason this place is even still open is because it is literally the SOLE "fast food" option in Georgetown. Booooooooooo! I had recently had bad experiences with Sonic in the Savannah area. Twice at this location. I posted a frustrated review on yelp. Eric, the manager emailed me and said they are working hard to improve this store. He offered no excuses only a honest effort to get back on track. This was several weeks ago Today I decided to try a Sonic burger and put Mr Eric to the test. I am happy to say my burger was hot, fresh, accurate, and delicious!! For being a chain this was a surprise with quick curbside delivery and a clean facility. It is right off the interstate and nestled among gas stations and hotels. Frustrated two days in a row. Day one I ordered a medium lemon lime slush at the drive thru. Pulled around and waited behind two cars to get their food. Pulled up to the window and nobody was there. The drinks are as good as the service is slow. It does not matter if you use the drive thru, curb side parking or the walk up window. The employees are friendly and the place seems clean. HAHAHA one of the questions was what health or safety precautions are they taking...let's just say NONE! I took my son there to reward him with a slushy for helping mow the lawn we ordered through the app and we waited and waited and waited. Finally after about 15 minutes I got sick of waiting and pushed the button on the sign only to be told they weren't doing car side service today and we must come through the drive through. Pull up to the drive through only to be greeted by somebody that obviously hates their job and wearing no mask. My son explained to her our problem. She then proceeded to take our order again. She then in a huff shut the window and walks away. By this time I've had enough. When she returns to simply shove the slushy out the window I asked for the manager. When he finally arrives to the window yep you guessed it no mask. When asked about the mask oh I just took it off and arguing about it. Needless to say we requested a refund and went elsewhere. Poor customer service. I arrived within ten mins of closing and I pressed the buzzer. No one answered me as I sat there waiting. So I went to the front buzzer where I was more than visible to the staff and pressed the buzzer. Instead of telling me the car hops were closed they shut off all the lights. I don't want to give the store a bad review because we normally enjoy the food and the service. Unfortunately this morning I dealt with a HORRIBLE woman named Victoria. She was SO RUDE and acts like she's mad at the customer for showing up. To start she raised her voice at me TWICE while I was still at the drive thru window. Once because I ordered a Coney when she barked "HOTDOGS GOOONA TAAKE TEEEEN MINUTES". Dang. Okay. Then she wanted to argue with me on whether I wanted cheeze or not. I didn't want it but apparently she would prefer that I did. Witch it's my hotdog. She cut me off without getting my order correct, so when I got to the window and told her AGAIN that I wanted fries and not tots she threw a tantrum with a little stomp and a huff. She did take time to shoot me a "you suck" snarl before she dramatically bolted to the rear of the store. She came back and gave me my drinks. SHUT the stupid window in my face when I asked for a receipt. Then when I yelled for her to give me a receipt! She handed me some sort of order slip that STILL wasn't a receipt! Since it was gonna be "TEEEEENNN" minutes I went to get gas. When i returned she refused to acknowledge me when I walked up to the front, forcing me to get back in my vehicle and back in the order line. By then I was smokin hot. Eventually a very nice young man brought my food out and I left. I'm telling you, we love sonic but I'll be checking to see who's at that window, and if I see Victoria I'm going to keep on driving. Went to this Sonic today to get food and milkshakes. We waited 10 minutes before it would even let us pay and they could not get the milkshake order correct after we told them 3 times. They came out and took my credit card and we waited 30 minutes for the milkshakes and to get my card back until my boyfriend went in and asked what was going on. They said they were starting up the ice cream machine... Another 20 minutes later they came out and said they couldn't get the machine to work. My wife and I stopped at this sonic last Friday before the movies for a meal. I've been to this sonic before and we knew this sonic is extremely slow so we left early...not early enough. For 10 chicken tenders and 2 sweet teas it took them half an hour. I would understand if they were packed, but there were only 3 other cars.
