We were there for 45 minutes yesterday, we ordered 2 shakes. After 30 minutes to they told us they were on the way. We we ended up waiting another 15 minutes. Got our shakes an it was solid ice cream with the topping sprinkled on top. Should have stayed home and had regular ice cream! The last time we went there the same think! I'd never had a particular urge to go to a Sonic, but the combination of extremely limited food options in Tulare/Visalia and the craving for a shake on a hot day convinced me to give it a shot. Sonic is designed to reflect the drive-up burger joints of yesteryear. That doesn't make a bit of difference on a 100+ degree day because everyone just goes through the drive through. I was really impressed with their shake selection and couldn't wait to try them out. I opted for the Bourbon brown sugar shake and loved every sip. The double chocolate was quite tasty as well. I wasn't at all impressed with the fries which were unsalted, hard and cold. The burger my nephew ordered didn't look particularly appetizing and the fries were a bust, but the shake was a solid option on a hot day. I'd return for more of this dairy goodness should the stars align for me to do so in the future. read more

I was in the drive thru going to get only a soda but the drive took too long and felt like a eternity to get only one soda. The people at the drive thru were extremely rude and it seemed like they didn't want me there and they were forced to be there.When I was leaving I said have a good day and the man at the window responding yeah I better then slams the window and just went on to something else.I recommend you don't attend this sonic because the service is terrible and it takes a while to get your beverage or meal.I didn't get any food but from what I heard I don't want food poisoning hearing that it's really common to get food poisoning from this sonic.All around a really bad experience. read more

I've come here many times and had my food delivered by 3 different people. All of them are exceptional, outstanding, and above average with both service and kindness. Nathan delivered this time, and Victoria followed up to "put the frosting on top" so to speak. I am blown away. Whoever the manager is here really knows how to build a team and a successful business. Haha, only a Sonic in tulare would have 4.5 stars. Grosssssssssss. Sonic is pretty much garbage. I'd have to say it's worse than Burger King, McDonalds and Wendy's combined. As far as quality and taste goes. As far as selection, they have a pretty good variety. Hence the 2 stars. Good drinks, especially happy hour 1/2 priced drinks. Otherwise this place is grossss. I stop here on the way to camping usually, because i don't have any Sonics where i live (thank god). But i guess for tulare, it's not bad. The staff is comprised of 18 year old kids who don't care how slow they are. They are rude over the driver thru speaker and basically repeated an order I didn't give AND she cut me off before I was finished ordering! I had 3 drinks to order and after mentioned one she quickly says, "Ok, drive up to the window." and she was very annoyed that i had two more drink orders. I was rude right back and we had to watch them from our car to make sure they didn't spit in our drinks. The food is absolutely gross and you can do better at any other close restaurant. We go there every now and then for a shake but we'll probably just not go there any more. If management happens to see this, we were there 03/23/2013 at 9:45pm. I know this is beating a dead horse but im hoping by hitting it a few more times things will change(fyi im not a violent person but this sonic brings out se-nor hyde). The service is mindbogglingly slow. I say this because its always been this way and they havent fount a way to fix it, nor the inaudible speaker.I only use the drive through but thats a misnomer, it should be a crawl through. The only reason i chose to return is this dame heat sometimes demands a drink as powerful, that drink, on occasion when i am mentally prepared for the snail paced drive through, is a cherry limeade. Im a sucker for the happy hour and this drink with extra limes(they charge for the extra limes too but its worth it, i ex nay the cherry which over rides the price hike, im a frugal sob) is franfreakingtastic. This Sonic was miss named. It's the slowest fast food place I had ever been. Spent 10 minutes pressing the order button and they seemed to just ignore us. Then they took forever to get the order out. Some mental notes for myself: Don't get the fries. They're stale. Their spicy chicken seemed to just be regular chicken strips that were colored red. I don't think they got our order right. We ordered an Oreo peanut butter shake and it seemed to be just peanut butter. If this was the first time I had Sonics I would honestly never come back to one again and wonder why people liked it so much. read more

If it wasn't for the huge signs for the outlet stores, I would never have stopped at this Sonic. After some lack luster outlet shopping, we decided to get a snack before heading back down the freeway. Boy, was that a mistake. Once in the drive thru, you cannot leave if you wanted to. You end up going down a row of drive in spots and it is one way!!!! We were stuck in the drive thru for about 30 minutes. I appreciate the cook to order, but we really only wanted some drinks because it was happy hour. This Sonic has to have the worst layout and slowest service. Next time I'll stop by any of the 50 fast food places in Tulane. read more

Tulare, Ca Sonic On the date of April 9th 2019 @close to 5:30pm I had ordered a #3 with meat cheese and bun only. I also asked to substitute the soda for a strawberry milkshake and had this with a fry. When I got home they had given me only one patty when it comes with 2. I called at 5:49 April 9th. I spoke to a manager and i offered my order number, but she only wanted my name and phone number. So i gave her my details. She had also told me to come in before a week or else i couldn't pick up my order. So I came today April 14th @ 5:15 or so, within the 7 day period. As I was told. I told the server my name and she couldn't find any details on what I was talking about. She then was told by her manager that I needed a receipt. This wasn't part of the instructions I was given. She clearly said when i asked, "So i just give my name and number when I come?" She responded, "Yes." They didn't even have my name anywhere and skipped my number and only would accept a receipt when I got there. So the manager is a liar when she said to only give my name and number when I came within a week. Very bad management skills. You should tell the customer the proper instructions so they are sure to bring the needed item. I wonder if she had even written down my name and number? What I learned is to always check my order, have a receipt, and get the managers name. I won't be back to a place that 1. steals part of a product I bought, and 2. I won't order from a place that lies when they say they took my phone number and name WHEN THEY OBVIOUSLY LIED ABOUT DOING IT! Why take down my personal information if you don't have it when i arrive? Waste of money, gas, and time! Very disappointed with Sonic. The server over the com was polite and tried her best to help. Oh dear! We were on our summer road trip where we went to the Sequoia's, San Francisco, Yosemite, and then on to Las Vegas. We saw a Sonic in Tulare and since my bff had never been, I said that I had to show her how good Sonic is and we had to try it. Of course, since it was a road trip, we needed to use the restroom. OMG, it was so gross! It was so disgusting. Not a great first impression. Then, since we rented a convertible, we had the top down and there were flies flying everywhere. Service sucks I ordered two shakes and one ( FROZEN ) cherry lemonade and of course they brought me the wrong drink after they took 30 minutes just for those three simple things. One star only becuse I have to. The Manage on duty, Hunter, I believe he said his name was, is a complete inept individual who finds his mistakes amusing. With a business such s this, with all these reviews and have 2 stars, I would have to say that Corporate, if a Corporate Store should investigate why this store is struggling with customer satisfaction. I would say it is partly because of Employees such as Hunter, who install the cap of a large shake invorrecly, than walk away from the drive thru window with a smug grin, knowing what they have done. Also, I had a suspision I was being overcharged. I askes for my order to be repeated, and with attitude, it was repeated, than thw drive thru window was slammed closed. I guess this guy thinks hes above mistakes. Well, he DID overcharge me. I asked for a complete refund and took my business elsewhere. I would definately urge Corp to evaluate the way this location, to see how staff are operating it. Are they doing what policies state? Are they following the processes that have been put in place? I am going to venture to say they are not from my experience tonight. I hope that someone from the upper management reaches out to me to further discuss. read more
