Tonight I had a very unprofessional experience at the Sonic location on Margie Drive. My husband and I stopped by as we often do after our weekend car meets. After receiving my smash burger, I noticed it was raw in the center. I became sick and ended up vomiting what I had eaten. My husband went to the store to politely bring the issue to the manager's attention. Unfortunately, the situation escalated due to the behavior of the manager on duty. Instead of addressing the food safety concern, she became confrontational. She attempted to takee burger box from my hands and repeatedly insisted that I give it to her. When I did not immediately hand it over, she called over an officer who was on duty. After the officer spoke with her, he came and sat next to me while she continued to accuse me of lying about the burger. She even accussed me of editing a photo that was taken in front of her and continued to deny the issue. During this time, she refused to provide her name, refused to return my original receipt, and stated only that "AJ" (no last name given) was the general manager. Even after I told the officer that I did not want to make the situation a big deal, the manager came back outside again and continued addressing the situation with more attitude and very poor management conduct. This entire interaction was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. We have frequented this location almost every weekend after car meets, but after this experience we will not be returning. The officer himself suggested that I report her behavior after witnessing the scene that unfolded. I hope this matter can be reviewed so that situations like this are handled with professionalism and respect in the future read more

Bad service. They took too long to give me my food, and the food was cold. One of the workers was very rude to my wife, too. The general manager seemed a little bit annoyed when I asked to speak to her. I never received a refund for my entire order after waiting for nearly 30 minutes for my food. It seems like they are losing they're good and fast workers. I remember a young man who was kinda fast with my order, and it seems like he doesn't work there anymore. He had great customer service. I think his name started with a K or something. And while I was waiting one of the workers was smoking something I think it was a vape or whatever these kids nowadays smoke. I hope that the general manager get fired because it seems like she doesn't know how to run a fast food restaurant. I don't ever care to rate restaurants because sometimes people just have a bad day and it shows in their job, I used to be a server so I know how it is! But tonight was just to much. I went to the ordering station and was politely asked to go to the drive-through due to COVID-19. I went to the Drive-through and waited patiently for someone to answer me, it took a couple of minutes. I had to repeat my order at least four times, and I tolerated that because maybe I was too quiet (I wasn't, by the way, I was fairly loud). I ordered Number 11 (chicken tenders with tots and onion rings) and asked to sub the Tots with fries, and asked to sub my drink with a shake. My friend ordered a chili cheese dog. The lady at the window asked if I would like any sauce. She made eye contact with me and completely ignored me. My friend had to ask for me... AND I WOULD OF LET ALL OF THIS SLIDE BECAUSE I WAS SO EXCITED TO EAT. But when I got my food, I had tots, no fries. A sloppy looking hot dog. ONE ONION RING. My wife and I had intended on going out for a nice dessert of ice cream after dinner with our son. Lo and behold, we never thought we'd experience the following: 1)I pushed the button to order and my wife asked a question. "What's in the cookie dough dream?" The response was "it should say on the menu. I don't really know. Push the button when your ready." I was shocked. This set my wife off. 2)I proceeded to order and my order was repeated to me. It took 16 minutes to receive two small "master blasts." 3)After waiting 16 minutes to receive the much desired master blast ice cream, my wife immediately asked if they were blasts? The car hop said, "they should be." She was confused. Then my wife said they are too light to be master blasts. We drive home. As soon as I take the lid off, the entire thing is melted and spills out of the cup onto the floor. On top of that, they gave me a butterfinger shake! We were the only ones in line and our entire order, not only took longer than fast food should, it was ENTIRELY wrong besides the fact that they gave us edible food. And when the staff was informed of the mistake, they looked annoyed that they would have to fix it. Later we still had not got our order that was already paid for. Pressed the red button and no answer after 5 min. Past. The people in the car next to us said they had been waiting almost an hour for their food And couldn't get service. We ended up leaving without the drinks we had paid for. So, why would anyone take the time to write about a fast food joint like Sonic? Well, in this case, it is to share my experience as it relates to their customer service. I actually think they believe they don't even need customers to continue to operate. Here's what happened to me today: I like to stop of every now and then after work to get a slushy. In the past, if I happened to get behind a few cars in the drive-thru that were placing large orders and then I placed my order for a single slushy, I would end up having to wait a long time and it will have been very melted when I got it. So, today I decide that I won't place my order until I get to the window. When asked at the speaker-box to place my order, I explain to Mike that I'll just order at the window. So, I get to the window and the girl very rudely lectures me on how I could have ordered at the window. I explain to her that I am the customer and I will order when and where I please. She gets an attitude and starts a rant. I talk to the "manager," (Mike again) and he is useless. You would have thought I was asking for the moon. There was no one behind me and I wasn't doing anything to slow them down. I just am tired of getting melted slushes. They really aren't slushes if they are melted. If you do not care how you are treated or like to be treated poorly as a customer, then I highly recommend this place. read more

March 18, 2021. Around 9 p.m. ish went to sonic with my partner to get food. We got there and ordered the jumbo honey bbq chicken combo with onion rings and an Oreo cookie dough shake. The other order a number 5 with tatter tots and an Oreo cookie dough shake. We waited for over an hour for only our food to be messed up. While waiting during the hour watching inside the building only look to be at least 3 adults top. People were talking, and goofing around not doing their job. Well getting the food (they almost gave to the wrong person we had to honk the horn to get their attention) an incomplete shake (missing cookie dough pieces, looked melted,and the cookie dough top wasn't there was bits of it) and the wrong shake we asked for the correct shake. Took 15 minutes to even get that after waiting the hour already. For then to get the card waiting for them to swipe it to leave. We were upset my partner took the food back got my card back that they didn't swipe. Asking my partner what they said. He told me after telling them they said. "Okay" and that was it. Horrible service! First order was wrong. Took it to the doors to get it right. Worker who just got off work helped out. Order came back, meat was burned. Son gets there orders grilled chicken wrap. Gets it 20 minutes later. Another couple comes up and orders. Meanwhile, one carhop standing at a car laughing and talking for 10 minutes. They are NOT busy! Three cars in drivethru, maybe three in parking spaces. Kids want ice cream. Push button no answer. Maybe didn't push it hard enough and do it again. Still no answer. Go sit down and one minute later guys comes on to take order. 2 vanilla cones and banana split. Pay with card. 15 minutes later, no order. Two cars have pulled up and left because they got no answer. Go to door again no one acknowledges me. Open door ask for manager. Young guy comes up tell him what I ordered and to cancel and provide proof amount was credited back. He responds "that door is for employees only." Tell him I see that but cannot get anyone to come out. He repeats same thing. Sit for another 10, still not busy, and other couple decide to leave. They go to door same guy comes out offers free food they decline. I am standing there also, repeat I need verification of credit back. His response yeah. Used to be good service there.
