    Ordering Stall
    Joshua M.

When you think of Sonic, what's the first thing that pops in your mind? Drive-In style atmosphere? Burgers? Tots? The goofy dudes in their commercials from years ago? Yeah...I could see all of those answers showing up on the Family Feud board. But what about breakfast? Me, neither. But...this is what the Mrs. wanted to try on a Sunday morning and so we did. We arrived and placed our order through the Sonic app, entered our "stall' number and waited about 7 mins for a piping hot and aromatic Sonic breakfast. The Sonic roller girl, sans skates, was very friendly, quick, courteous and even kind enough to let me snap a pic of her delivering our food. All done with a smile. Well done. The tots and sausage breakfast burrito were both very good...tots moreso than the burrito, though. The burrito had about 4 or 5 small pieces of sausage so you did not have that flavor in each bite. The fluffy, folded egg and melted cheese were great, as was the added onion and zesty sauce, but it just lacked in the protein department. Had there been a bit more of that semi-spicy meat in the burrito, this could have been fantastic. Overall, I've always enjoyed stopping at this Sonic. They're never a chain that immediately pops in my mind when I think "fast food" but they always seem to be consistently good when we do stop there. The surrounding stalls and digital ordering walls weren't spotless with some spots and stains on the screen plus some minor trash on the ground, but it wasn't an eye sore or a dump, by any means. SCORE: 4 STARS.

Hey Sonic- Pro tip, there are only so many usable slices in a tomato...
    Scott L.

There are only so many usable slices you can get from a tomato. When you put literal garbage on your product, you earn a 1 star review. For an employee to make the decision to put inedible tomato slices on a burger and send that out indicates a more serious problem than the obvious.

This place is a fantastic example of how to take history, character, and craftsmanship and blend…read morethem into a genuinely memorable experience. The building alone is worth the visit. Housed inside a restored 1947 Quonset hut -- those curved steel structures originally designed for WWII -- the space manages to feel both industrial and welcoming at the same time. Inside, the high arched ceiling, natural light, plants, and comfortable leather seating create a relaxed lounge atmosphere that feels intentional rather than trendy. Outside, the patio area with string lights and open-air seating gives you a second completely different vibe, perfect for enjoying North Carolina sunshine. The cocktails absolutely delivered. The Brown Butter Old Fashioned is a standout. Brown butter-washed bourbon adds a subtle nutty richness that rounds off the edges of the whiskey beautifully, while the cinnamon bitters and maple bring warmth without turning the drink into dessert. It's creative but still respects the classic Old Fashioned structure -- which is exactly how a riff on a traditional cocktail should be done. The Limoncello Tonic was bright, refreshing, and crisp -- a perfect counterpoint. House-made limoncello with tonic and citrus notes makes for an easy-drinking, sunny cocktail that feels light but still flavorful. Ideal patio drink. Service and presentation appear polished, and the fact that they distill many of their own spirits in-house adds authenticity you don't always get at cocktail lounges. There's also something admirable about adaptive reuse like this. Taking a mid-century industrial structure and turning it into a modern social space is a reminder that good design doesn't have to erase history -- it can build on it. Overall: Excellent atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted drinks, unique historic setting, and a relaxed but upscale vibe. A place that feels both local and special at the same time. A special shout-out to Abigail, the bar back, who had a fantastic system for handling the crowd. Instead of everyone clustering around the bar trying to figure out where the line started or ended, she encouraged us to grab a seat and brought the drinks out when they were ready. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and organized, and it's the kind of thoughtful service detail that really stands out. Kudos Abigail!

It's sort of Italian and sort of steak and sort of a little bit of everything. Really clean, strait forward , reasonable menu, nice ambience. It feels kind of high end but the pricing is definitely mid range. I selected the tomato basil soup as my appetizer. It came with a nice toasted crustini. It was a really good soup. It tasted fresh. It had a lot of body to it like, maybe they did the tomatoes here in the house from fresh. It was definitely tomato. The basil was kind in the background, but it was a true red sauce. It was almost tomato paste or tomato sauce flavor. I would've not complained if they given it to me over a bit of penne.. It had a really nice flavor on it not too sweet not too acidic really a very good soup. It came out in a footed coffee cup so you're getting about one cup of soup. The main course was the broiled seafood platter. It was anchored by a large piece of mahi-mahi, that was amazingly well prepared, firm and tasty. To the side of that was a wonderful crabcake, one of the best I've had anywhere and definitely the best in the Carolinas. It did not have too much breading and it had a wonderful texture with lots of good crab flavor. Drizzled across all of this were scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were a little overcooked if you asked me. The scallops were sweet and perfect and everything you would want them to be. The side that comes with this is their crab fries which essentially our beer battered french fries dusted with old bay seasoning. If you've ever had the crab fries at the Philadelphia, ballpark, this is the way they do it. For dessert, I ordered the lemon cello mascarpone cake. It comes drizzled with raspberry sauce. I had visions of lemon curd, and what I got was really good and really lemonade and good cake. But it's not a very big slice. I know about the weight staff. I don't know if they're all good, but mine was exceptional and lovely to talk with. The place was very busy. It had a nice vibe to it, it could've been in South Beach or Miami or Los Angeles, not that it was over over the top just that it was very clean and nice and well done. This is a professional restaurant not some amateur attempt. I recommend it.

You guessed it, I ate the whole thing! My husband had the beet salad topped with blackened chicken, which he raved about the whole time we were there. We ended up sitting outside because they didn't have seating available. Ended up waiting 34 minutes after ordering to remind the waitress to check on our food. She let us know it's going to be another 15-20 minutes because the kitchen was backed up. Which is pretty wild because all we ordered was burgers and fries. All in all we waited for our food for about an hour. Should have called beforehand to price check it because it's 100% not worth the price. Should have just cooked out on the bbq. I ordered the "Hot Mess" burger because it had decent reviews. The burger was decent size with a tiny portion of fries on the side. The service was mediocre, felt like the waitress / bartender was just damage controlling the small amount of tables in the entire establishment. On top of it all the ice tea was too sweet, we exchanged it for a water and still got charged. Overall, would not recommend, it was an absolute waist of money and time.
