they have a bad habit of not giving me chili on my CHILI and cheese tater tots. and it seems that they always tend to mess up on my order when it's busy. i don't want to pay for something i didn't get. their service in this location is dissatisfactory, and they seem to have done this multiple times now. read more

After over three years since COVID the excuse chamber is out. This location at one time more than five years ago was great. Currently not run as a service, but now a disservice. Customers continue to check-in to order menu items and waiting times to take your order range between 10-20 minutes. Should that be? This is not how I remember any Sonic. Facts are many sonics in regions outside Wylie Tx provide friendly service with quality food as advertised. So, what is the problem Wylie? Management? Employees? Doesn't really matter does it, if your business is NOT interested in GREAT service. There definitely is a lack of self pride here. Don't come here unless you're ready to wait AT LEAST 25 minutes. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a slushy last week and it took the staff 30+ minutes to get it to me. Today i ordered ahead through the app thinking it would reduce the wait, but it didn't. I had to wait 25 minutes after i had arrived at the location although the app promised the food would be ready by a certain time. The management in the store need to up their game and get their staff in order. read more

Not only is the service very inconsistent, why are they blocking off 8 spots for possible customers? They might even be blocking off more on the other side that I can't see. I have a feeling that this location will soon fall off the map. I have yet to come here and receive fresh food. There's nothing better than a fresh, hot, French fry. This location always has the sad, soggy, old fries. I'm just glad that there are better options around it. Like Whataburger and Chik-fil-a. This Sonic takes FOREVER. After ordering ahead, it took me over 20 minutes to receive one large soda after arriving.

If Emilee gives you your order...check your food/drinks when you get them. Simple one item order, a drink, and couldn't get that right. A couple modifications; no ice and a couple add ins, received the drink with no ice and no add ins. It's not that hard.. read more

Terrible. Some of the tots are double fried, glistening with grease, and way beyond done. Mixed in the same orders with tots that are normally cooked, so it was very obvious. The wait was 10 minutes for a chili cheese coney, a cheeseburger and 2 orders of tots. Cheeseburger has so much salt added that it's hard to eat. And I love salt, so that's saying something. The lady apologized for the wait and gave me a token for a free medium drink. This is the third chance we have given this location, and there has been zero improvement. Maybe even a decline, if there was even room for a decline. The food is awful. read more

Sunday - 9:55pm - Pull up to relatively empty parking lot. Order 2 small shakes. One chocolate. One vanilla. I pay with credit card at the screen. 10:05pm - guy walks up to my car. Starts to give me a burger meal. I stop him and say "No. Sorry. I just had 2 shakes." "Whoops. Let me check on that." 10 minutes pass with nothing. 10:15pm - I press intercom button. "Uh, where are my shakes?" 10:16pm - Guy walks out with 2 shakes. Mostly melted now. I say "what took so long? These look melted." "Sorry sir. I don't know. Want me to go remake them?" "... sure." 10:17pm - same guy walks back out. "Actually our shake machine isn't working so great. They were just made. That's just how they look." Me : "... Can I just get a refund?" Guy : "yes sir. Unpleasant to talk to, took forever and messed up the order. Order is messed up nearly every time I come to this particular one.

This Sonic use to have quality service but it has steadily gone done hill. Worst experience ever tonight.

I pulled in and my monitor looked broke. It was packed so I wasn't trying to look for another spot. When I pushed the button to order I could not hear the guy clearly. So I kept saying "pardon me or I'm sorry but I cannot hear you". Totally thrown off by his smart mouth, I was seriously about to throw my vehicular in reverse. Very rude and he starting speaking loud and slow like he was irritated. I was having a "Chevy Chase, Wally World" moment cuz that guy was out of line and I literally wanted to tell him something or speak to a manager but I had my kids in the car and just tried to blow him off. I ended up adding 2 hot dogs on to the original order and funny how I could hear the female that came on so clear AND she was friendly. Our order was great and fresh. That guy must have been having a bad day or I'm not sure but geez! Get that monitor fixed and I actually shoulda asked for his name so I could let the manager on duty know. I bet I could identify his voice in a Sonic lineup? Line the males all up and let me hear the voice. What is happening with employees now days not wanting to work for their paycheck and the respect? HORRIBLE! After ordering my food the carhop came to my window and handed me my food, I handed her my gift card which was brand new with $10 on it. She took the gift card to another stall and came back and said she threw away my gift card and I still owed money and she needed my credit card. I handed her my card and when she came back I asked to see my receipt. The receipt said my total was $8.11 yet I gave her a $10 gift card. Not only did she throw away my gift card that still had $1.89 on it but she charged my credit card a couple extra dollars as well. I told her the mistake she made and her response was "I don't know what to tell you." This carhop "Emily" needs to be held responsible for her actions and Sonic headquarters better give me some type of refund. So ridiculous! read more

I ordered ahead on the app. When my order came out the kid dropped my receipt and it blew away, and he didn't offer to bring me another one. He also forgot my ice cream and didn't give me any ranch or honey mustard. I asked about the blast and he had to ask what it was and go back in to get it. I had to ask him again to bring my sauces. Then, I get home and see they barely put any cheese on my cheese fries. On the app I paid for extra sliced cheese and to add shredded cheese. The only cheese on there was a tiny bit of shredded cheese. Normally I go to the Lavon Sonic, but since I was passing this one to go home I stopped here. Next time I'll go back to Lavon Sonic. read more

Not the quickest fast food but the food is good and the portions are much bigger than the competition. We go by a few times a year and they have never botched an order, always correct and HOT. I'm willing to wait for freshly prepared items and the carhops are pleasant. Sucks for them you can't leave a tip on credit card purchases but they are paid full minimum wage not tipped minimum wage, still cuts into their income or anyone on minimum wage. read more

The sonic at 6040 s highway 78 is right down the road and the wait is long and the employees are incredibly rude. I have had to cancel my order twice at that location due to either not having what I wanted or just plain being interrupted far too many times on my simple order. So I drive to this one and the service is fast and pleasant. Will be skipping the waste of time down the road and coming to this one from now on read more

This Sonic can be slow at times, but seems to be faster than a year or so ago. They are pretty close to us and so very convenient for my son's milkshake habit. I do love that they have mini sized milkshakes. Everyone that delivers to our car is always very friendly. read more
