If no stars was an option that's where I would be. I literally sat and watched multiple tables sit available and was not even spoken to. After about 10 minutes the hostess asked if I could hang in a few more minutes for them to clear a table, all the while people where aimlessly walking about doing nothing. I won't be back. I guess I should start by saying that I am not a fan of BBQ, but this place proved to be a compromise for all parties concerned. The restaurant was well decorated and looked like a great place to eat. The service was a little slow, but friendly. I ended up with the burger and even though I asked for it medium rare, it was beyond well done, actually crunchy. The best staff and food is great! Every time I leave Panama. City and try some other BBQ nothing compares! I work in Lynn Haven and am short on time . When I go in for lunch Lacy always takes care of me. She's off on Mondays but make sure you get her she is the best!! I'm back at work in under and hour! It was crowded when we arrived at 12:30 but my party of 2 were still able to be seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and the food came out cooked fresh. I wasn't the biggest fan of the dry rub on the buffalo wings but that's just a personal preference. The restaurant looked clean and taken care of. Will come back again. read more

We go there every once in a while on the weekend. We like the Lynn Haven Haven store. We go there and sit the bar and eat. They are the only Sonnys that has a bar w sports on I'm not sure if the new Sonnys in Calloway does. We like their All You Can Eat salad bar. And you can add a meat on the side for 3 bucks. I always have the dry ribs. Comes w 3 ribs. Great when you don't want to eat heavy. Full liquor too !! Not the biggest salad bar, but It's convenient. We used to eat at Sonny's all the time but a few years ago things changed. The bean counters got in charge apparently. They know that the french fries are popular so they have moved them to the more expensive items to force you to spend more. I don't like that. When we ate there last month, the chicken was ridiculously small pieces. Their sides appear to be canned too. We walked out. Finally, the sauce bottles were not clean, and that's because of people picking them up after using their hands to eat the BBQ. This is not a problem with Sonny's alone. The waitress was sweet and it smelt delicious in the restaurant. The pulled pork lunch sandwich with a bun instead of garlic bread was a good choice. We normally prefer faster lunch spots but we were craving BBQ and I'm glad we stopped. We were satisfied and gave me a craving for more BBQ. We did not have to worry about the speediness of the restaurant because we got our meals quickly. I added the mild BBQ sauce to my sandwich with a little splash of sweet sizzling and it only made the pork better! read more

Maybe because I am from Texas and know what REAL BBQ taste like I could be biased. That said I am pretty sure they use liquid smoke instead of actually smoking the meat. Also very bland. I just moved here and ordered take out last night and picked it up at 1800. The ribs were so dry I wouldn't have fed them to wild animals. The pulled pork was a total joke was dry as well, clumpy hard pieces. Green beans looked like string beans and over cooked. Corn bread was dry and baked beans were far from baked beans. It took 3 minutes for them to be willing to take my order at the drive thru. Then she handed me the wrong order with two containers instead of three and took them back. Now I'm writing this while I wait for the right order. I guess before I drive off I have to check the container. Long story short it is amazing that I have time to write all this all while waiting at a drive thru window. If you don't have 20 minutes, don't go through their drive thru. Rarely do they have Brunkswick stew and when they do there is so much fat/gristel attached to the meat it is disgusting!!! Will never go back to Sonnys in Lynn Haven!!! Very unsatisfied with my latest visit to this BBQ joint. Had both of my orders come out incorrect kitchen manager came out and attempted to fix the order and took our good back. The manager who also said he was the owner then returned our orders and made the snide comment that I should speak up to the server. I replied that it shouldn't have been that big of a deal and that we are pretty good customers. He then told both of us he doesn't need that kind of business. I will not be returning so that this manager/owner can insult me. Ordered the family feast (or whatever it was called) and was extremely disappointed. I've ordered food from here a few times before. The first time was very sub-par, but we decided to give them another chance. The second time the food was decent. The third time, the food was horrible. The portions were tiny compared to the last time, the ribs were very dry, and the service was horrible. We ordered take out and when we walked in the girl was texting on her phone. It took her a minute to realize we were standing there, and once she did she rang up the wrong order! On top of that I ordered unsweetened tea, and she brought out sweet tea. Even AFTER I told her I needed unsweet tea, she went in the back and brought out another jug of sweet tea! We called and complained to the manager after we got home and discovered these things, and they seemed less than concerned. They basically told us to deal with it this time and come back in and give them another shot. No thanks! I'll take my business to one of the other BBQ places in town. read more

I LOVE Sonnys....and eat there often. HOWEVER.....my family are big time Ranch fans. They are EXTREMELY greedy with it. A 2oz portion cup???? Really??? what a joke. They will bring you another one...but that's a joke too. Then they make you feel bad for requesting more. Its a shame to have to order the salad bar just to have a bowl of ranch. My family (10 of us) debated in the car whether or not to even go......on the way back out to the car after dinner.....8 of us voted not to go back....other two are on the fence. read more

Cold food, not fresh, and waiter tried to pocket part of my change when I gave him 3 twenty $ bills on a $42.54 post-tax bill. My wife and I were planning on giving our usual 20% cause everyone has a bad day but unfortunately he was pretty blatant in trying to give me 2 five $ bills and 3 one $ bills instead of 3 fives and 2 ones. When I called him out he tells me "no, your change was $13.46." I think he told on himself by saying that. Not going back here, there are too many other BBQ places in P.C. to return here. I'm just glad I didn't use my credit card cause there is no telling what he would have done. BTW it was my daughter's birthday and we told our hostess and server but we weren't even offered even an opportunity to buy her a dessert. Update: The manager of this location contacted me to make this right and I felt it was my obligation to update this review as I would like to give it another shot. The staff is alway so polite and kind you do not find that often any more. I just love that the manger comes around and checks on how things are. I over heard a customer say they were waiting for one of their orders it was a cwry large party and he said he would go check on it and apologize for their wait the waiter was right out with the order and apologize and discounted the the meal in top of it. Ithe manger is always smiling and chatting with the customers and making you feel welcome. And the food is alway hot and delish. They have the best sweet potatoes I have ever had. And those sweet potatoes muffins are better than dessert. read more

We were 4 there for dinner 9/15/16 at 8:00 PM. Fairly busy, but not packed.Our waitress took our order. My husband had the 3 variety pork dinner, I had the brisket dinner with garlic toast and salad. Our companions had the pulled pork dinner, and the baby back ribs. 10 minutes later I got my salad plate. 15 minutes later the first dinner of pulled pork came out...10 minutes later my brisket and the baby back rib dinner came out, and 10 minutes later my husbands 3 pork combination dinner came out, which was chicken, brisket and ribs. We advised the waitress although it was wrong, we had waited so long he would eat it. We were missing garlic toast on 2 orders. The waitress apologized for the wait and the kitchen staff's error. No visit from the manager, just excuses. The food was good, but the service sucked. read more

The staff are always friendly and the wait usually is not too bad, (sometimes there is like a lunch crowd, but there are lunch crowds at basically any restaurant). The food is good too, however sometimes the items on the salad bar are not the freshest, most of the time they are though. I understand though vegetables eventually wilt if they don't get eaten or put on someone's plate. Good Sonny's restaurant. Four stars. read more
