Exceptional tacos! Served from a taco truck parked at a gas station, I had passed by this place numerous times. I was on the hunt for some bomb al pastor tacos, and I think I found them. The tacos came out piping hot. I got mine to go, and 30 minutes later they were still warm. The al pastor was incredibly flavorful, with bits of pineapple throughout. I would have liked a little more pineapple, but the pieces that were there added a nice pop of sweetness. The carne asada had a nice crisp to it. Both tacos were loaded with fresh onion and cilantro, and they definitely didn't skimp on the meat. I usually remove the second tortilla to save a few calories, but these were good enough that I ate them as they came. There was so much filling that I ended up needing a fork to finish the leftovers. Our order also came with radishes, grilled onions, peppers, and lime, along with both green and red sauces. The green sauce was especially good and paired well with both tacos. At $5 each, I initially thought the tacos were a little expensive, but the quality, portion size, and flavor made them worth it. This truck is located right off Fair Oaks exit in the Poppy Gas station. Came on a Monday and it was quiet u til the rest of the folks from the game stopped by here as well and it got busy quick. They ran out of shrimp the day I was there, and I was torn deciding between the chile relleno burrito and a quesadilla. I bought a carne asada quesadilla with added rice for $14. It was very big and smelled great. But the meat tastes like it was previously frozen...if not it was a day or so old. First time eating a chile relleno burrito This one was delicioso! Will definitely get it again. Asada super burrito was ALMOST perfect. It wasn't dry. The ratio of fillings was just right. I didn't feel like I had a mouth full of rice and beans. What made it shy of perfect was the greasiness from whatever the meat was cooked or heated up in. Tacos are priced at $3.25 and Quesabirria tacos are $4 each with a bowl of consume to dip it in. 3 tables with umbrellas for shade, so in total it can seat about 12 people total. The Quesabirria here is really yummy with plenty of cheese and beef. I really enjoyed both the green and red salsa here as well. A quality taco truck that's open late and has affordable pricing. It shares a parking lot with the 76 gas station, and there's a nice outdoor seating area with tables and umbrellas. You order at the window and they serve food pretty quickly, and it's about as nice a vibe as you can get right outside a 101 highway ramp (bring generous, it's pretty noisy). Tacos are great, and these were no exception: decent meat selection (no tripa, cabeza, or lengua when I was there), and the al pastor and chorizo tacos were tasty. Quesabirria were really good and the consomme was what you'd expect - no complaints here. I also felt that the pricing was more than fair (maybe about as cheap as you can find them here). I came back to give them another chance. But unfortunately not only did it take 45minutes for 5 burritos. After waiting for 30 minutes they informed me they were out of sour cream. It would arrive in 10-15 minutes. Waited additional 15 minutes for burritos. All the burritos were made as ordered but I believe they purposely did this as you can see and feel the sour cream in one spot. As soon as I bit into it all I got was sour cream only. I have nothing bad to say about the food or service!! They are always located in this gas station parking lot so they can refill the propane anytime.
