I will NEVER refer this buisness to anyone. The installed the WRONG garage doors at my house. I sent pictures of the garage doors I wanted to Denisse. It was a wood plank style garage door. In several texts, after they installed the wrong doors, Denisse, she tripped herself up, and said "We can't get that style of garage door from our supplier." The owner came out to measure my doors and show me a small square picture of a wood sample. He says, "Is this what you want?" I said, "Denisse knows what I want." Bait and switch....so unscrupulous. They couldn't get that style of door from their supplier, and never say it? Me looking at a small square sample was the switch. How can you do that as a business? Why not in the beginning say, "We can't get that style of door." Why keep going with measurements, and a bid, if you can't get the door the customer wants? Unbelievable. read more

Last night after dinner, we decided to go out for ice cream. But when we tried to open the garage door, it was stuck. We inspected it and saw that a very large spring at the top of the door had split in two. I said, "Remember that loud noise we heard coming from the garage this morning?" It was already after 6 p.m., but in desperation, I called Sonoran Garage Doors because they installed a new motor for us about a year and a half ago and I remembered they had great service. I left a message on the off chance someone was still in the office, never expecting to hear from them until sometime today. Within a few minutes of leaving the message, I got a text. I was referred to Sonoran Garage Doors by a friend. They struck their garage door with a car. The couple had only praises for the quality of work, professionalism, and competitive prices. One of the two springs went out in my double garage door today. It's Sunday so I figured a weekend service call would be extremely expensive. I called the main number and Denise's voicemail offered texting too. I sent a text to her and received a reply in approximately 15 minutes on a weekend! I was hoping to get an appointment in the early part of this week. She offered to have Gabriel come out today. She said they were already booked for Monday and Tuesday would be the earliest in their regular schedule. Sonoran does not charge extra for weekend or urgent calls. We agreed on a 1-2 p.m. appointment. Gabriel arrived at 1:10. He was very polite and professional. He inspected the door, told me what he needed to do, and gave a 25-30 minute estimate to complete the work. Gabriel knocked on my interior garage door about 25 minutes later. He completed the repair and also lubricated all the guide wheels, hinges, and screw drive track. He explained their 3-year warranty and put a sticker on the inside of the garage door as a reminder. Gabriel had a preprinted work order with the same pricing as Denise quoted in the text message. They accepted cash, check, or credit/debit card. I'm thankful for my friend's referral. At $199.30, the price was $150 less than my mother paid for the repair of a single spring configuration performed by a different company. We have been in our home for about 3 months and since day one we have had issues with the garage door, it would open part way but always opened. The other day it would no longer work with either the garage door openers or the wall unit, I knew he had a problem when the wall unit would not open it. I called Sonoran garage Doors because of the reviews on yelp they came out the next day. Gabriel is the person who came out. He kind of knew what it was but want to diagnose it. He was very professional and courteous. after he inspected it, as I thought, it was the motor in the garage door opener so we needed a whole new one, He said it would be about an hour and cost $330.00, which since we were already spending 90.00 for them to come out I figured it was O.K. He took the time to explain it to me and I had him do the work. After he finished the work, he programmed out extra remote to work with the new opener and then took time to explain the me (this is the first time I have had a garage door with an opener) things I should watch for and the explained the warranty. Gabriel also explained what he was going to do in the tume up for the garage door. Eventhough I never am happy with spending over $300.00, unless it is something fun, I knew we were going to have to get a new opener and an happy with the work they did. I have been using Sonoran Garage Doors for so long now, maybe 15 years and two diff houses for a total of about five service calls. Im ashamed to say this is my first review of their work as it is a long time coming and they are so deserved. This last repair came as I cleaned my garage and accidentally left a broom handle in the track. I heard that familiar, awful crunch and reaching for the phone. The way I tweaked the track the door wouldn't shut but a couple feet, so I was particularly nervous about the prospect of having to wait several days to get it fixed. Amidst my angst I had forgotten it was 930 on a Saturday night, but Denise answered anyway and not only answered but set my appt for 10AM the next day... Sunday. Gabriel showed up, as he has done so many times for me, smiling and ready to put me at ease and fix my mess. Within an hour he was done, the door was perfect and the fee was so reasonable I felt guilty it wasn't more of a lesson for my stupidity. I used the service visit to also ditch the loud clanky Craftsman chain drive opener. Gabriel had a Liftmaster belt drive opener installed fast. My garage door stop working this morning, so after searching and reviewing other people comments and experience with different garage door company's on Yelp I decided to call Sonoran Garage doors. Call them around 8am, the lady who I talked to on the phone was very nice and knowable of the subject. She said that Gabriel the repair tech will be at my house around 9:00 so he show up in less than hour after my phone call. He check everything and told me I need to replacement of the spring and add support for panels( since we were using it with previous spring problem , it broke some panel). We agree on doing everything he recommended and after he came back with all replacement parts, he was done in less than hour. We are very satisfied with great work and excellent customer service was provided to us, both over the phone and at my house. Definitely will recommend Sonoran garage doors. Craigslist is such a scary crap shoot that you're bound to get ripped-off by unlicensed handymen and fly-by-nighters. My garage door collapsed after a garden shovel handle fell onto the garage door track while in operation. Gabriel came the next morning as I slept in my garage overnite with a loaded shotgun for potential thieves. I can repair anything but when it comes to a garage door, you NEVER want to repair it yourself especially when it has extreme spring tension that can easily kill you. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. On a Wednesday night we heard a loud bang in our garage. Then the garage door didn't work. I called Sonoran on my Thursday morning break. The young lady that answered was polite and efficient. She predicted a spring had popped. Gabriel was at our home before 6 that same evening. He confirmed it was a spring, but he didn't have a replacement on his truck. He came back the next evening (exact same time) and did the repair, even as the sun was setting. The whole thing took 40 minutes, tops! He also lubricated our brackets and drive belt on the automatic opener, unasked. This team does solid work for a reasonable price with great efficiency. I had Sonoran install three 9x7 doors on my new garage addition. Gaberial would not route the wires through the attic for a clean install. Many staples penetrating the wires! This can't be the owner doing this? Instead of using a stud finder he used a large nail to find the studs. What? Then he left 20+ holes in my ceiling without fixing them before he left. Really? Door openers that mount to the wall were not mounted level. After a call back to fix these things i first ask him to remove the PO stickers on each panel. Note... a sticker is on each edge, so 4 panels per door with a total of 8 stickers. After asking him to remove all visible stickers (wasn't concerned with the sides facing the wall because you can't see them) he started arguing with me about it. I ended up kicking him off my property. In the end i ran the wires through the attic myself, had the holes patched in my ceiling. I spent many hours fixing what a paying customer asked for. Attention to detail was very poor and the job was not on par with the thousands of dollars i spent!! I'm sure he's great for repairs based on reviews but stay away from new installs. Reply I under stand you can't have wires just hanging... But Staples penetrating wires? Come on, and there were more than just these in the pictures (See Google reviews). Wires pinched on the openers and not running through the channels provided so the don't get pinched!...Openers mounted with no attention to levelness. I asked for wires to be run through the garage attic, access was directly on the other side of the interior door which i told you, you refused. Stickers are the side of the door are on painted aluminum, not on the back panel of the door which you state! You refused to remove them and i understand why, it takes a lot of time to remove them. You did not want to spend the time removing them. I spent many hours of my time fixing what you would not do, plan and simple. I ran the wires through the attic! I had your holes patched before paint. I remounted the openers and made all 3 level. When i asked your wife via email if the stickers would be removed, she told me "We will take care of you." You did not and i told you to leave. Ceiling had a skim coat, just needed a light sanding and it was ready for paint. Finding studs with a large nail is not profession IMO and i can tell you that with 20+ holes in my ceiling a nail doesn't always find studs! To leave the holes and not say anything is not a good business practice! So say what you want to defend yourself but if you want your customers to be happy do what they ask. Just had my garage door springs replaced by Sonoran. They were running ahead of schedule so they called and asked if they could send Gabriel, the service tech., out earlier to fix the problem. He replaced the springs and did a maintenence check on the rollers, motor and replaced the light bulbs. Gabriel finished the service in about 30 minutes. I don't usually do reviews, but when you come across a company who has employees that care about, and do their work in such a professional manner it needs to be acknowledged.
