Parking lot shared with several businesses, during our lunch time visit, looked full, but we found a space! Had a wonderful experience. Clean, and quaint restaurant. In the Filipino culture to choose from the hot food section it's called "point point". Customer service very friendly. -Lechon kawali cooked perfect, fresh, not rubbery. -Longanisa not greasy, not too bold, just right. -Dinuguan was on point! -garlic rice was tasty -pork menudo also perfect -beef kaldereta -meat soft, stewed perfect, great flavor -good pancit This place had a solid food selection, all items we ordered were tasty , just the way grandma makes it!

Literally in the name! The food is soooo good. The price is a bit steep so definitely won't be coming here a ton but I love Filipino food and this was top tier.

This place may be a little hole in the wall, but the food and the hospitality make it shine. We ordered the tapsilog, and the serving was generous and tasty. The owner was incredibly kind--she even offered soup to my little boy (he kindly declined), then offered some to my "bigger baby," my lady. I also noticed how thoughtful she was with the DoorDash drivers, offering them coffee while they waited for orders. Owners like her are the heart of small businesses--the foundation of great customer service and lasting reputation. Thank you for such a warm and genuine experience!

The food was really good I did order the bangus sisig and both of my friend ordered the tokwa't baboy. I tried a bit of the tokwa't baboy but I ended up liking it better than what I ordered. The pork was so crispy and tasty. If you like or you eat pork I do recommend trying it. Also, their Turon is to die for. One thing I didn't like was the rice, poor quality of the rice. Service was okay. Place was too cold tho they kept the door open when it was too cold outside and the place is a bit small but we were lucky it wasn't too busy when we got there. Prices are reasonable.

If there's one thing you can always count on at Soo Good Lutong Pinoy, it's the fact that their food is always delicious! Everything's freshly made, super generous, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I've never had a bad meal here. It's become our Saturday tradition to swing by after an early tee time at Los Feliz. My go-to? The Dasilog--it's perfection on a plate. A generous helping of garlic fried rice, a beautifully fried daing na bangus (milkfish), and all the breakfast vibes you could ask for (more vinegar with garlic please). My brother? He's a Tuyo-Silog loyalist (his PCP won't be happy lol). And my best friend? It's a toss-up between the Tinapa, Tapa or Corned Beef (He's like boy Tsinelas - he always flip-flop... get it?. LOL). Oh, and we always order an extra dish to share, usually Menudo or Adobo because... why not? Soo Good nailed the name--it's legit. The restaurant itself is cozy and spotless. There are two bigger tables for small groups and one smaller table for couples, so seating is a bit limited. But judging by the hustle of UberEats, Grab, and Postmates drivers zipping in and out, their delivery game is strong. It's like watching a perfectly choreographed foodie ballet. Service is quick--unless, of course, you're stuck behind someone who can't decide what to order (which, honestly, is understandable with this menu). They even have an ordering kiosk that no one ever seem to use. Poor thing, it's like a lonely orphan child just waiting to be loved LMAO All in all, we're big fans! Great food, friendly service with a smile, and a warm, homey vibe. What more could you ask for?

I didn't expect to amount of food I would receive when I stopped by this place. It was late morning, and when I stopped in, the worker said they were still serving breakfast. I ended up ordering the Dasilog breakfast, with garlic rice and 2 eggs. When my food arrived, I was surprised with how large their servings were. The rice was fantastic, the beef was soft and tender. Typical Filipino breakfast with eggs on top of the rice. The restaurant had a small and cozy eating area, and it was at a good time where the place wasn't too crowded. I will have to come back and try some of their lunch combination plates.

Solid 3.5 I really wanted to like this place but the prices are inflated usually, for $14 you can get 2 entrées and rice but this is just the price for breakfast. For an extra $1 you can get a lunch combo which is substantially more bang for your buck. Consider other options for breakfast but the lunch items look yummy. 7am is too early to have lunch items out that long. Unless, they have a ton of customers that order lunch items for breakfast. The fried fish and eggs were typical but I was surprised that the garlic fried rice had crunchy pieces. Ok ok, I know its fried and it should be crunchy but it tasted as tho some of the rice didn't fully cook, like when one doesn't add enough rice, the top part is a bit dry and undercooked.

The best food when it comes to Filipino cravings and also the best when bringing food to get-togethers! So much variety that we couldn't decide on only a few different choices! Our favorites are as photographed: sisig (the best!! And has a kick to it), lechon kawali, kare kare, and of course pancit! The owners and workers are always super nice to us! It's so easy placing an order ahead and picking up. Parking is super easy too, which is a big plus. The good food, great service, and wonderful owners keep us coming back. Glendale is so blessed to have this place!

First time here. The food was so good! We got the dasilog (fried boneless Milkfish with fried egg and garlic fried rice) and a side of Shanghai lumpia. Decent prices, huge portions, and friendly folks working the counter. If you get the garlic fried rice, don't forget to sprinkle it with their complimentary fish sauce (patis). Can't wait to check these folks out again.

We ordered the Tapsilog ($15), Chicken Adobo with Pancit and Puto ($15), Shanghai ($5), and a can of Calamansi juice ($3). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We were also offered a sample of their atchara, which paired perfectly with both the tapa and chicken adobo. It was so good that it elevated the entire meal. The customer service was warm and welcoming, reminding me of being with my own family. Everyone was friendly, and the food came out quickly despite it being a busy Sunday afternoon. We visited around 1:00 PM on a Sunday and found it to be a great time to come after the main lunch rush. There is outdoor seating behind the restaurant and in front and while the sounds of the nearby freeway were present, the atmosphere still gave us beachside vibes and made for a relaxing meal. The pricing is fair, portions are generous, and overall the food was good. As a fellow Filipino, I would love to see a little more variety on the menu since it currently focuses on the basics. From a business standpoint, especially considering the location and customer base, I understand keeping things simple. The only dish I wasn't a huge fan of was the Tapsilog, as the meat was a bit salty for my taste. The Longsilog was much better, and I loved that they included a small puto (rice cake) with the meal. Overall, a great experience and worth a visit.

We shared a couple of dishes: -Lechon Kawali: Crunchy, savory, and fried nicely. Loved the flavor and texture and how it wasn't overly fatty. The dark sauce it came with was good, but I think the brown sauce (like mang tomas) was a bit too sweet. -Grilled Chicken Inasal. Succulent meat, a good charred flavor, and crispy skin. There were some dry bits though. This also paired well with the chicken oil and dark sauce. -Adobo Rice: My friends really liked this one. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. I liked the additions of the fried pork adobo pieces on top but the sauce they were coated in was a bit too salty. The interior is colorful and cozy. The service here was great and the staff were super friendly. They even allowed my friend to bring her small dog inside. There's a good amount of parking in the plaza the restaurant is located in. Color me confused because I had never heard of her. What rock have I been living under that I'd never heard of this place? So, early one Saturday, I pulled up with my sister from another mister to get our breakfast on. First of all, tell me why they're basically down the street from me. They've been around as long as I've been alive and not once had I been. Truly a shock considering my commitment with never making food at home. I stay eating outside. There was only one other group of diners while we were there. A family of 4 who were seated in the back room. We ended up being seated in the area facing Fountain. My first comment was how I felt like I was at my Lola's house because the decor was giving Lola vibes, in the best way. I felt like I was home. My friend got the laing meal and I got the tocino. We also got a side order of the sweet & spicy longanisa. Broooooooooooooo That food was wow. I'm gonna say it again - it tasted like home. Down to the fixins on the table like vinegar and suchas. I appreciated all the little touches. We ate so much yet still had so much leftovers. Their portion size was crazy. We would've been good with just one meal and another protein a la carte. We also got a small bowl of their arroz caldo. Let me tell you something, a single tear legit went down my left cheek. That tasted like what my mom made for me when she was still with us. The memories that came flooding back took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. We did order their famous empanada that never came. We had to remind our server that he never dropped it off. I'm not sure why he didn't double check if we still wanted them which we did. We would've obviously paid for them. Despite that they're getting all the stars from me because the food was fire and their drinks were 10/10. I got the Maria Clara. They also allow two free refills so that's a double win. I'm about to pull up every weekend. Take all my monies.

Our server was nice and accommodated us quickly when we needed something. The wait time for the food we ordered wasn't so bad. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant because it felt like I was inside a family friend's house, which was unique to me. The food is a little on the pricier side for Filipino food, but overall I had a great experience dining here.

This is a small Market that has a little bit of everything that you're looking for from Southeast Asia. It's like a 7-Eleven, Filipino style. It's fun to look at the various items available here. You will always end up with more than just what you were looking for. I enjoy the cracker nuts, dried mangoes, and specialty dried items. Their selection of items is always changing so I like to look at what's new and on display. I will sometimes ask the front counter what just came in. The Fresh Deli, located up a small incline to the left as you enter the market, is spectacular. The flavor of the food permeates the entrance to the market. They have an incredible selection of fresh made food. It is difficult to make a decision between the different items. I asked for some help from the gentleman behind the counter. I've dealt with Christian, Gabriel and Abraham and all three are knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to explain how some of the food was prepared and the special attention that was given to each individual item. I wanted to limit myself to two items. I decided on the special marinated Beef Caldereta and the Lechon Kawali. On another trip I decided to try the Pork Tochino and the Barbecue Chicken Skewers. I can't tell you how happy I am with the flavors of the food from the deli. Everything was done to perfection. The Chicken skewers were tender and moist with a great barbecue flavor. The Toccino had a nice marinade flavor and was not too sweet. The Lechon was tender and had enough fat to give it a great flavor and texture. I have to admit the Caldereta was my favorite. Great taste, texture, and just the right spices to give it a little kick. The rice and noodles were a perfect accompaniment. All the sauces I was given added to the flavor of all the dishes. At the cash register at the front counter I paid for my items and asked about other items coming in in the near future. I found out that they are not always sure what's going to become available but always looking for something that will make their customers happy. This is truly a family establishment. I found out that everybody there is related. They definitely give exceptional service and quality merchandise, and delicious food. I look forward to coming back and trying many other items both in their market area as well as the Deli.

But, when combined, they harmoniously balanced the flavors of salt, acid, and sweetness. The beef tapa was savory indeed. You could also cut into it easily. I've never had anything like Java rice. That isn't normally what I eat at home so this was a pleasant surprise. The vibrant, yellow-orange, grain got its aroma from the garlic and turmeric. You cannot order a protein without ordering a side of Java rice. With that said, because it was savory, it also went well with the sweet Longganisa. The Longganisa was juicy and a little bit crispy on the outside. The acidity from the Tomato Cucumber Salad helped tie the entire dish together. It was a much needed balance between the proteins and rice, and enhanced their flavors even more. The Mexican coke was a great refreshment. I loved the old-school coke bottles. Drinking out of that while consuming refined dishes does elevate the experience overall. The staff were friendly and helped with explaining the menu. They also delivered the food to our table, that was kind of them. Thank you! When you're finished, you'll need to take your dishes up to their counter. The restaurant is small and has limited seating, mostly high table. They also have two tables outside. We went on a Saturday afternoon (around 2pm). Parking was difficult to find. We had to park two blocks away in a residential area. If you do decide to visit in the afternoon like we did, prepare to do some walking and bring a hat. Again, Kuya Lord is an EASY recommendation! The staff were also all very quick with drinks while some people haven't arrived inside yet and they served many of the foods efficiently and quickly while tending to any requests. The menu picked and served to us were some classic Filipino favorites: pancit bihon, white rice, crispy pata, pork sinigang, kare-kare beef peanut stew, and lumpia shanghai. There were multiple plates of the food, leaving us all very satisfied and filled. They gave us an appropriate amount of time before coming in with desserts. We were served a nice small bowl of ice cream and gelatin. Meanwhile, Maria who was in charge of the event as the coordinator, was a great host and stuck to our cues for carrying out the planned schedule of the night. She did her best to help us out and her laptop easily played my mp4 video formatted files on my flashdrive. Sound system played music well from her phone, which you can message to her your Spotify playlist of liking. Of course, the karaoke segment was the most entertaining part of the event with our different guests enjoying the mic and the karaoke being a great experience for everyone to enjoy. Parking lot is valet parking for $5. Big thank you to all of the staff at Max's for their help, especially to Ramir, Maria, Ikkin, (sorry didn't grab everyone's names)!

I was unaware that a suggested 15% gratuity of $45.45 plus tax was already included in the total of $385.04, and the menu list was also included. Another receipt, the customer's copy, was misleading with a blank space for the tip; I added $54.54 from the $385.04, resulting in a total of $439.58. This was an honest mistake on my part for not checking the first receipt. The merchant copy with my signature showed charges of $439.58 on my credit card statement. I called, and one staff member said the manager was not in, and the assistant was on vacation. When I called again, I was told neither the manager nor the assistant was available. She promised to credit my card, but as of 4/18/26, no transaction has been posted. It's difficult to find a restaurant without a phone number unless you search their website. Their customer service is very poor.

4.5 stars. Sorry,…read moreguys - I'm still catching up on my reviews and am kicking myself for failing to write this before Spoon & Pork permanently shut its doors. This was an unforgettable eatery. During our trip to Los Angeles in May, 2023, Wendell invited Jay, Z and me to meet up with Veda and him for a late lunch at 2 PM at one of their favourite Filipino restaurants, Spoon & Pork, on Sunday, the 7th. Spoon & Pork, which originated as a food truck, was a restaurant that specialized in Filipino comfort food with a contemporary twist. They offered a fresh, inventive fusion of the flavours of the Philippines with modern sophistication. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighbourhood, Spoon & Pork was a cozy boutique eatery on bustling Sunset Boulevard that greeted guests with a neon pig sign at their front entrance. No private lot on this busy street, so finding nearby parking was a bit challenging and although the charming spot offered both indoor and al fresco dining, seating was also limited. The tropical-inspired dining room with warm wood accents created an effortlessly cool and relaxed atmosphere that felt both modern and rooted in tradition. Upon entry, guests were welcomed by the aroma of sizzling meats and fragrant spices which alluded to the culinary journeys to come. The food at Spoon & Pork wasn't exactly what one's nanay (mom) or lola (grandma) would cook. Celebrating fresh takes on the richness of Filipino cuisine, the menu was an invitation to indulge in unexpected, compelling twists on a thoughtfully curated selection of traditional dishes, infusing familiar flavours into new forms. Below are what we ordered: beef tapa ($25) - MASARAP (DELICIOUS)! Of all the dishes that we ordered, this was the winner of them all as the succulent meat packed a punch of flavour. adobo tofu ($14) - One of Wendell's regular orders, this notable plant-based option, was a tasty, innovative take on the Philippine classic that balanced tradition with modern creativity. laing ($9) - From their platito, small plates section, this bowl of coconut braised taro leaves was rich and creamy deliciousness, but, yes, mini in portion size. garlic rice ($4/$7) - Ordering the garlic rice over plain jasmine rice was a no brainer. Thoroughly infused with the savouriness of the many bits of garlic, this rice perfectly paired with all of the other dishes. bistek ($28) - The skirt steak was very tender and the sauce perfectly balanced the tanginess from the calamansi juice with the savoury soy sauce. lechon kawali ($23) - Another reimagined classic dish featuring crispy, golden pork belly with crunchy skin and tender, flavourful meat inside. The dish was complemented by a tangy, pickled red cabbage that enhanced the crispy texture and added a refreshing contrast. This mastery of flavour and texture tickled Z's tastebuds and won him over. Before this day, Z was never a fan of Filipino food. Everything tasted boldly rich and every bit intensely intoxicated our taste buds. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. What a remarkably epicurean feast and delightful experience we enjoyed! We're super bummed that Spoon & Pork permanently closed shoppe. Z and I were hoping to return for another tasty meal. Truly, a worthy spot this place was to hit up for an impressively creative taste of the Philippines in Los Angeles.

As a second-generation Filipino-American, I would be lying if I didn't say that I had rather high expectations for Spoon & Pork, but as always, I try my best to keep any biases aside & curb any + all expectations. That said, Spoon & Pork is quite the anomaly. What I mean by that is that you have the hallmarks of any typical Filipino restaurant: simple interiors with modest decor, & beyond hospitable wait staff - especially our host, but the techniques & presentations of their dishes are something that you'd find at the highest of fine dining establishments. The irony is kind of nice because I don't feel so guilty about rocking a simple t-shirt + jeans, while enjoying what I'd expect to served at an establishment along Rodeo Dr. FOOD: Appetizer Lumpia Shanghai - 8.0 / 10 Perhaps the most famous of Filipino appetizers / street foods. I pride myself of bringing trays of these myself to any gathering because who doesn't love crispy, crunchy, meat-stuffed egg rolls that you can pop into your mouth? Here, the only real difference is that the individual pieces are longer that what you'd typically find. The pork + veggie dumpling is the same as elsewhere as well as your sweet + sour sauce. Nothing exactly to write home about, but delicious nonetheless Side Adobo Rice - 7.7 / 10 I feel like I've had this before & even made it myself. Simply put, imagine mixing plain, white rice into a cauldron of adobo broth. The very small pieces of meat are nice, but again, it's we're not exactly re-inventing the wheel here. It is a very nice upgrade vs. ordering your standard issue steamed (white) rice. Entrées Tapa - 9.0 / 10 A favorite of mine growing up as a kid. But whereas my mother would fry thin strips of beef, almost to a dehydrated crisp (think thicker, moister beef jerky), their rendition is quite different. Heartier chunks of premium quality beef, generously swimming in a broth of soy, vinegar, & garlic. This was personally my favorite dish of the night & a nice interpretation of a Filipino staple. The atchara (papaya, carrots, and red bell peppers, in tangy brine) provided a nice + refreshing counterpoint. Adobo Pork Belly - 8.9 / 10 If you ask anyone who knows anything about Filipino cuisine, the word "adobo" will almost always come to mind. But "Filipino style" adobo is quite different in meaning to its Spanish counterpart. In this case, we're referring to the classic preparation of any dish in a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce peppercorns, garlic, & bay leaves. Your boy definitely love pork belly (fatty unsmoked bacon of steroids), but the delicate pieces of meat smothered in the classic sauce was something of a revelaltion. I honestly didn't know how I haven't stumbled upon Pork Belly in Adobo (sauce) sooner than now. Highly recommended if you want to they the most classical Filipino flavor but with a modern take. As far as parking goes, availability is limited to the rather small number of spaces that they share with the fish taco shack immediately adjacent. But metered parking in aplenty. PRO TIP: Having actually lived about less than 100 yards away from this very restaurant (I moved away 1 year before they opened this location), drive up Westerly Terrace & you'll likely find some non-designated residential parking spots & just walk on over. Spoon & Pork are doing some very innovative things in Filipino cuisine. Combining modern techniques to traditional flavors. This place definitely deserves your business!
