Where are the Roasted Red peppers in my $9 salad? They don't exist. Just iceberg, Tomatoes and Sliced cheese. Ridiculous
    Mrs C.

Went in based on ratings. Have tried just about every Pizza place in Somerville in search of something decent, and this one was the worst by far. First we were ignored upon arrival because the employees were focused on the TV above our heads. Not even a hello. Strike 1. Pizza has no flavor. Strike 2. Ordered a Roasted red pepper salad - There was not a single red pepper involved. It was chopped iceberg, tomatoes, and hunks of cheese (the sliced stuff they use on hoagies, chopped to look like cubes) - for $9?!?! Strike 3!

Pizza is wonderful! Service in restaurant or delivery is always on a timely manner. Even their house salad is good!

I took out a large white pizza and it was good. I'll be back. Prices are reasonable and service was quick.

Located in Somerville, Prima Pizza Kitchen had been on my pizza hit list for quite some time. As it…read morewas my first time visiting and wanted some variety, I ordered their garlic knots, the standard plain cheese slice, and the drunken grandma slice. The garlic knots (3/5) were just ok, on par with the New Jersey average, and a bit dry on the inside (I prefer them a little more saturated in oil). They asked if we wanted marinara sauce, but it was subject to an upcharge, where we probably would have declined had we been informed about the extra charge for it (most places I'm accustomed to provide a side sauce upon request complimentary). We ordered ahead for a large cheese pizza (3.5/5) so that we could eat it freshly prepared out of the oven. The standard cheese slice was a small notch above what you'd expect from a typical NJ pizzeria, but neither the sauce, cheese, nor crust stood out. We also got a drunken grandma slice (4/5) which was the winner of the meal with the unique flair of the vodka sauce with cheese on a thinner square base. Overall, I'd rate Prima Pizza Kitchen a 3.5/5 in the very competitive NJ pizza market, and am happy to round up since Yelp doesn't allow half stars and the service was friendly. While I probably wouldn't venture out of my way to eat here again, it's a decent local pizzeria option for those in the Somerville/Bridgewater area.

When I picked up my pie, we ate our first slices outside. The pizza was warm, and I wish it was scolding hot. This was phone order that we picked up in 25 minutes. So I don't know if this pie was one that was already made. The pie was well done. I like my pie with some white mozzarella cheese still on the pie. The pie was kinda orange when you look at the pictures I posted. Some of the crust and slice underneath was burnt. Plus when you look at the pie, it was not a perfect circle. One slice was out of place. As for the pizza slice, it was a bit on the salty side. The pizza base crust was a little on the heavy side. It was not thinner or on the lighter side. This reminded me of the way Vermont pizza is made, well done. The pizza was ok, and people's opinion is very subjective. What one person thinks is a 9.4 out of 10, could be an 8.4 by another. I couldn't test if the crust held up the cheese and sauce since I picked it up warm. From what I gathered with the underside crust, I would not flop since the crust was on the heavy side. Overall, I would try it out again and eat in so I get the great experience of the pizza pie coming right out of the oven!

Parking is in the back in the ShopRite lot, or you can try to park on the street. Somerville has become quite a foodie town, and street parking can be difficult to find. We had a party of five and were seated promptly at a round table, which was nice. We could all chat and see each other. Our server was friendly and professional and answered all our questions about the food. The meals were entree-sized instead of lunch-sized. Alfonso's doesn't allow lunch portions on Sundays. To start, we were given a family-style salad. It was mediocre at best. Boring. Mostly iceberg lettuce, no tomatoes, red onion on top, carrots, and cucumber. The complimentary bread was good, but it wasn't Italian. We were given another basket after we finished the first one. The butter was in those little plastic containers. Nothing fancy. Our entrees were: Dinner Giambotta (mild): Italian sausage, peppers, onions, potatoes, garlic, white balsamic parmesan sauce. Shrimp and Scallop Scampi Scallops & Shrimp Al Limone: Imported Roman artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, and green olives in a lemon butter white wine sauce. Cheese Tortellini Al Forno: Rose sauce, parmesan, fresh mozzarella. Eggplant Rollatini. My daughter had a Mediterranean Mule, which consisted of Figenza fig vodka, ginger beer, & lime juice. She enjoyed it! We all enjoyed our fairly large entrees, and most of us took some home. I would recommend Alfonso's. I've been here before and enjoyed it as well.

It was more than enough for my husband, myself and our two daughters. We brought so much home. We're not complaining, we loved it! We will definitely be back!
