Sora al Ponte is around the corner from the Rialto fish market. The seafood is as fresh as can be and prepared perfectly. Terrific spot for lunch. Service is good.

Excellent food and service. Celebrated birthday dinner and staff was very accommodating to make us feel special. Thank you for great hospitality.

We had no reservations for dinner and planned to skip it and have snacks in our Airbnb. We checked with them and they were able to seat us immediately at the table in the window. People watching and air con combined! We had a mix of pasta and seafood and it was good. House wine, And Prosecco by the glass met the whole groups needs. The host/waiter/busboy/server was pleasant and provided suggestions when asked. At the end of the meal- homemade limoncello and basil digestive.

We cane here for lunch and glad we did! Right before you hit the Rialto bridge just at the crossing of a much smaller bridge at very small canal we found it. So worth it . My wife had the seafood pasta and loved it. Not small "European " portions either. I had the truffle ravioli excellent! Not sure why it only has 2 reviews but it is a great find. Gotta try it !

They were so kind!! The server went above & beyond. I would definitely recommend the seafood!

All our dishes were very good and the service as well. We found this place by coincidence when we were walking through the area looking for a place to have lunch. I recommend it.

Sora Al Ponte - terrible service and extremely expensive for really bad service and food

Really fresh food, very clean, amazing staff and air conditioning. Both my daughter and son loved the food and want to come back some day.

Nestled away atop a small bridge near the fish market, just past The Rialto, it is an excellent location.

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

I am so sad to give this restaurant such a poor rating after visiting many times during the last 20…read moreyears and loving it before. The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
