The gentleman at the counter took my information and printed out a list of what needed to be done along with the prices. He explained all the items to me and let me decide what I wanted to have done. Pretty frustrating experience here for my first time dealing with them. I brought my car in for a noise I couldn't pinpoint, I suspected it was in the clutch. It clearly started overheating on my way in, thus the noise was probably the water pump. Quoted me a little more than $500 to replace the water pump, seemed good so I told them to do it. After the water pump fix I was informed that it still had a noise and it needed a new clutch throw out bearing. I had to take their word for it because I could not come listen myself. I had originally been told they could get to it that day, after calling two days later to check in I was told they had not got it apart yet. This is a job that literally took me 3 hours, but a professional shop wasn't done two days later? After taking it apart they told me it was indeed the throw out bearing so I agreed to having it replaced. They called back an hour later telling me the clutch was in fact damaged and also needed replaced. I had no option but to agree to the repair because I needed my vehicle back without them being angry and causing more issues. After everything was over I had spent a solid $3,000 on what was most likely just a water pump. I'm pretty sure they took advantage of the fact that I had no way to verify that the vehicle needed the clutch work they claimed it needed nor could I inspect the parts they removed. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and had already changed this clutch previously, so it's not like I don't know what I'm talking about. I did this clutch replacement and had everything back together and the vehicle on the road literally in a single day. It took these guys a week, and only because I started calling to pressure them since I needed the vehicle back so my wife could get to work, that's why I had called to schedule this repair in the first place. Upon getting the vehicle back the passenger seat was absolutely covered in grease stains where the mechanics climbed in it while working on it without covering it up. So now we have to have the interior detailed in the hopes of getting these grease stains out. I'm pretty frustrated with my first experience here, they came highly recommended, but this is one of the worst shops I've dealt with in a long time. I highly doubt I'll be returning here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE to save you time and money! The good reviews must be bought or fake because these guys are a scam. We were charged nearly $200 for a diagnostic. They charged $20 for a fuse they said they blew, said they replaced, but never did. Said they unhooked the fan so it wouldn't melt the cover. Never did. They were asking $900 to replace a small part with easy access. My husband said no, took 5 minutes to do it himself, didn't even have to take out a wrench to replace it for $100. Zachary came out faster than I was told, helped extricate my car from a tricky spot, perched atop a retaining wall, without adding any additional damage to my rig. He offered some great advice for repairing the minor damage, made sure I was kept warm and dry while he worked on getting my car out. He was funny, helpful, charming and thoroughly professional. I am very disappointed in this company. First off I HATE to leave a bad review but this was just wrong! The only reason I am leaving it at a 1 star is because he finally made it right. My husband took our Ford 350 (Diesel) truck to Sorensen's Automotive primarily because I wanted to use a local small business and they did have some good reviews. Well when we took the truck in, it was to replace the #4 fuel injector. We were quoted $1400, okay-lets do it! My husband stopped in to see how it was coming along because it was suppose to be done in a day or two. He was told by Steven (the mechanic) that he broke the screw inside the manifold while trying to take it off. ( I get that-things happen) Steven said the manifold would be under $200. Okay, good. My husband told him to make sure it is not jimmy rigged after he is done! Well duh, we want it back the way we dropped it off! So then they called my husband after 11 days of having our truck and told us the total now is $2710 (double)!!! I called them and asked for them to explain to me why? First Steven I talked to and he said that was for labor! Mind you it was for labor for something he broke! I said I am not okay with that. He passed me off to the GM (I think Tim) and he apologized for not telling us ahead of time that it would be double than the original quote. I told him that we felt that it was their responsibility to eat the labor cost. I agreed to pay for the part. I told him I wanted to do some checking around and I will call him right back. Well when I called back I now got Brent (the owner) he was very rude and told me that he was not comfortable talking to me since my husband was the one who he talked to. He tried to tell me that my husband knew it would cost that. Umm NO he did not!!! I finally told him I would pay for the manifold but I am not okay with paying for the labor since his mechanic broke it. He said well they break all the time. Umm, so if they break all the time why did not not take more precautions to make sure it did not break? Lubricant? Or tell us ahead of time that, that might happen, or could happen. He finally told me he would take off the labor but told us to never come back there again! Well duh, I would never come back there first off, but how rude to tell a customer to never come back!! Very bad business and customer service for causing this much drama over something they broke. Washington state law says that Autos shop cannot charge a customer more than 10% of the original quote without letting us know first! Which they did not! read more

I found SORENSENS AUTO after searching a bit fruitlessly for a solidly-run garage in the Graham/unincorporated county area. I like visiting shops but once should do it.The problem required their diagnostic that didn't really produce anything conclusive but affirmed compression readings already there. A return trip was necessary due to time constraints 1st time. However, in the work to replace spark plugs outright which had gone bad or suspected to be bad, a blown coil wire was discovered that was the root of the problem. Also, parts delivery was timely and the difference was significant. Nothing seriously had to be removed, recalibrated, or turned inside out trying to fix or analyze an issue. All was forthright and desiring business for tomorrow instead of "one and done/next". That's all a good business can ask for, and they delivered. read more

The only reason I am giving this business 2 stars is because they took my Groupon pass the expiration date. Otherwise, the place sucks terribly. First, I schedule an appointment for early in the morning and had my friend take my car in a little pass the time of the appointment so she thought that would be ok. However, the person at the front acted like it was the worse thing in the world cause they had to do a transmission in someone's car so my little oil change would have to wait. WTH? A oil change takes 1.5 hours tops and I had an appointment. Take the oil change before a transmission that is all day to get done especially since she was waiting for the car. After my friend said as such she got the oil change done. When she returned it to me it smelled like smoke and she doesn't smoke at all. It has been weeks and still smells like smoke. I HAVE NEVER HAD A SMOKE SMELL IN MY CAR EVER FROM AN OIL CHANGE!! I have had all kinds of oils over the years at different places NEVER has there been a cigarette smoky smell. Those darn people in that shop had my door open while someone smoked or did something like that. I AM PISSED!! I am not a smoker and hate cigarette smoke because it gives me headaches. While they great communication and we're excellent in the fact that they towed my vehicle there and the price was reasonable. I spent $1300 for a loose shifter that turned 90 degrees. I was able to take 30 seconds to figure out that the tightening order on the bolt was done incorrectly and in reverse. They also informed me that is could be a Transmisson issue after the clutch was replaced. I took the truck home and Bled it myself and was able to drive it. The "transmission issue"was the shaft on the master cylinder was loose and falling off the clutch pedal. Come on guys these are elementary troubleshooting skills! Shady business!!!! June 2021 I brought my 2010 Denali in and was told the motor needed to be rebuilt. Misfire in cylinder 1. Was quoted $9053 Decided to move forward with the process. Didn't get my vehicle back until November. Hardly any communication what so ever. They claimed it need custom pistons. When I got it back the original issue was NOT FIXED and it sounds like a Diesel after a fresh rebuild and custom pistons. Took it back they charged me another $700 for a new throttle body to fix a high reving issue. The throttle body replacement did fix that. Got it back And my Denali still sounds like a diesel! I called to have this issue fixed and was told I don't have a Warranty (WHICH I DO) and that there's not an issue with my vehicle and then I was hung up on by Tim their master mechanic because Brent was on vacation again (like usual) They are parts installers and that's it. Be careful tho they may dent up your hood and disrespect your vehicle like they did mine. They literally don't care about the job they do for you. Go to graham automotive!!! Horrible. Not six weeks after I paid them several hundred dollars (ridiculously overpriced i may add) to fix a power steering tube, I have to go take my car in AGAIN (somewhere else) to get another power steering tube repair because these idiots didn't do it right. If I lived closer than two hours away from them, I would go in and demand a full refund before taking my business elsewhere. This was a simple fix and not only did they mess it up, but they over charged me too! read more

i was originally quoted 1,450.00 give or take 20.00 by sorensens to replace wire harness and knock sensors(2 ea.). i was quoted the same by toyota puyallup for the same procedure. i agreed to have work done by sorensens because its close to my work. i informed sorensen that i suspected that only the wire harness needed replacing due to rodents chewing it. when i was quoted, i was told that the oem parts were expensive and thats why the cost was high. when i dropped my truck off an employee looked at my work order and commented that it showed 3.5 hrs labor. i was contacted by sorensens later that day and informed that in fact only the wire harness was damaged and did i want sensors replaced or not? i chose not to have those replaced and was told that my total would be reduced by 300-400 dollars for unused parts. when i picked up my truck the total was 1,350.00??? i was told it took longer than expected. i was not told how long it took, only that their quote allowed 2.5 hrs??? what happened to the 3.5 hours on work order??? when i paid my bill the comment was made that it was still less than my other quote by 100.00. was it, or would toyota have been less because they did not install 75% of the "expensive parts". bottom line is i'm glad my truck is fixed, but i was lied to by staff and overcharged for unused parts. read more

I had my 2002 ford focus at Sorensen due to be fuel pump and idle problem they replaced the fuel pump and IAC when I got the car back the engine went to 3000-4000 RPMS when stopped at stop light returned the car several times only to be told if the idle continues to be a problem I would have to take it to ford to have the PCM flashed to learn the IAC again at the same time the CEL came on with code P0442 I replaced the IAC and it took care of the idle problem. I was refunded 180.00 dollars for the IAC and labor after talking to Tim the GM. The CEL still comes on as small evaporative leak so along with the over 700.00 dollars I already paid I have to pay another shop to diagnose repair the car CEL this is totally unacceptable and a rip off service manager has no clue about anything. It's possible the evaporative leak is where the fuel pump goes into the tank. Never had a CEL until after I got the car back. read more
