I went to try this pizza place for the first time, I'd seen it on the Yelp app but just never got around to going there, I was hungry just drove back in from LA so I said I want some pizza this was only about a mile and a half away it's in a little shopping mall tattoo place Mexican food right near Del Taco on Main Street and just before 28th very nice on the inside I met the owner he was a very nice man got the pizza it was delicious just a pepperoni but they have a lot of different flavors I want to go back in and try. Have been wanting to try this place for a minute now. I popped in on a slow night near closing time and was immediately greeted. Walked through the open clean ample atmosphere seating to the bar counter at the back. Was met up by Chef Alex, who I informed was my first time here and she gave me recommendations and I asked for the Gobernador Pizza (a shrimp/bacon pizza) to go. Talked to her for a minute the. We ordered a couple of apps & 2 personal size pizzas (birria & the one with pork & pickled onions - if forgot the name- sorry) I saw an ad on IG & it did NOT disappoint! My kid is very picky. He eats no dairy, except ice cream (shocking, right?). Doesn't do tomato sauces, but will eat raw tomatoes. He won't do cream-based sauces. So......pizza is not his thing. But tacos. Tacos are his thing. I'm not sure why this place doesn't get more attention, to me it's easily one of the best pizza spots in San Diego and even better than some spots in little Italy. The pizza crust is the best crust I've ever had. It's very soft with a slight crisp, I hate when I eat pizza and it has no crunch or if it feels like I have to tear it and chew forever. This crust is just perfection. The people in the front are always nice even if we are just picking up food. You can't go wrong with the toppings but we usually get the al pastor. I traveled farther than usual to support a business that was listed on the app as recently opened. As I pulled into the parking lot, I remember coming to this Barrio Logan plaza in the past. It turned out this suite was the home of a former Thai eatery that went out of business. Soriano's Pizzeria has taken over the space which was quite large for a pizza joint. There were enough tables to seat over 50 customers. The two-sided menu was divided into appetizers, pizzas, and salads on the front with pasta, submarines, desserts, and beverages on the back. Instead of pizza, I opted for an order of the Traditional Chicken Wings with sweet & spicy pineapple glaze. Ranch (my choice) or blue cheese dressing was included, however carrots and celery sticks cost an additional $3.25 which I declined. I also picked a Philly Cheese Steak Sub for the rest of my meal. Nine bone-wings came fresh out of the fryer and coated with the glaze. It was definitely sweet with just a tinge of spiciness. The sub was filled with thinly sliced steak, sauteed onions, bell peppers, and melted American cheese. It was cut in half before being placed in a takeout container. The meat needed more seasoning as there was little flavor to it. The amount of steak was nominal when it should have been heaping to match a classic Philly-style cheesesteak. I would say the wings were worth four stars while the sub was three stars at best. read more

Really excellent food. We got the al pastor pizza, tuscana pizza, and a gluten free pizza, all of which were fantastic. I was so happy to see a business doing their own deliveries and not outsourcing through a third party!! There was a bit of a long wait, I think just unfortunate circumstances for the evening that delayed the driver. The gentleman was very apologetic about the experience and about the food not being as hot, and they made it up to us, which we deeply appreciated. The taste was still good and obviously good quality ingredients put together well. The tiramisu and philly sub were also good. This was the first time for me trying pizza at Sorianos. I did an online order for pickup when they opened at 10am and ordered 5 large pies. Coworkers and I ordered the Al Pastor, Birria, Supreme, Meat Parade, and Tuscany. We didn't get the pizzas until around 1050 but the wait was worth it. We got the family special (great price for the amount of food) which came with an appetizer (Brussels or fried mozzarella), a salad (garden or Caesar), a cheese pizza (we changed to a Margherita), and a pasta (penne marinara or fettuccine alfredo).
