Our first visit here was very pleasant! The interior of the cafe was so tranquil, I felt relaxed the moment I stepped inside. The people working (I think they were the owners) were also very gracious and welcoming. They even have doggie treats by the door. We ordered two cold drinks and two pastries, and they thoughtfully warmed up the latter. My black sesame latte was very well made and balanced with a nice creamy lid, although I personally prefer a nuttier black sesame flavor. My husband's Soro latte (matcha with orange and I think butterfly pea flower) was extraordinary. These flavors really brought out the essence of the matcha while also blending together in a way that was smooth and velvety. I really appreciate their care for their craft. The combination of quality ingredients, attention to detail, and harmonious atmosphere make me want to come again. Needed a caffeine pick me up after an event downtown and stumbled upon this great space! The barista was so friendly and patient offering great recommendations. I ordered a cold brew with black sesame cream top and it was amazing! The black sesame flavor really came through and wasn't overly sweet. The cold brew was also delicious with a strong flavor. What a truly wonderful coffee shop in the middle of DTLA. The pictures taken here are stunning and they don't do justice to the space of this location. Parking sucks cause it's downtown but if you get past that, this is a top 3 coffee spot in Los Angeles. The coffee served, Idle Hands Colombia, was exceptional. Being honest was probably the best cup of coffee I've this year. Wished it came in a larger size, and I'm rarely in this area for coffee but will definitely need to come back to try other items on the menu. Popped in on a Monday morning in the office. This is a perfect location if you work nearby. It is a large space and looks like it would be easy to get some work/studying done here. What really stood out was the service, the man up front was so kind and welcoming. He went through their different signature drinks. I ordered the Yuzu matcha iced with oat milk. Alternative milks are an extra $1 which is pretty standard. The matcha was $9 which felt a bit on the high end and the cup wasn't all too large. However my drink was phenomenal. They put a generous amount of yuzu fruit/rinds into the matcha for flavoring. The worker up front was whisking the matcha in front of you. It wasn't too sweet with the citrus really complimenting that matcha flavor. Although my drink was $10 with tip, I would absolutely come back for the yuzu matcha as a treat yourself drink. read more

This is such a beautiful cafe in downtown, especially for studying. They offer free WiFi, comfortable seating and so many great food/drink options. I popped in here to grab a coffee before starting my drive home. I was with my grandson who also wanted something warm to drink. He asked if he could get a vanilla steamer. The woman behind the counter didn't know what that was (neither did I), but she offered to figure it out. My grandson tried describing what it was, and she was so kind in trying to follow along and make it. I finally saw that they also had hot chocolate, which my grandson loves.
