Been here before but had not reviewed so here we go. Went with my Daughter for brunch. We were hungry so we each got the wake up steak and eggs which comes with home fries. We ordered medium rare and not to quibble but it was medium. We were very hungry and did not send it back. I had to use sauce to cover the medium cook which is not my preference. Still a very tasty meal. I think next time we will stick to more standard fare. People are nice here and I will surely come again. read more

This was our first time eating at Sorriso Kitchen and we loved it! We went for brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the food and the ambience. The breakfast brussel sprouts were delicious, coming from someone who doesn't order brussel sprouts often. The mustard sauce really tied the whole plate together. We would return solely for the brussel sprouts, that's how good they were. The pancakes were great, especially with the berry maple syrup! The chicken and waffles were also good, crispy and sweet. Lastly, the cappuccino which was just as good as any other well done cappuccino. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Everything was clean. Pleasantly surprised that we found this lovely place to enjoy a late breakfast! The decor is rustic French cafe... white tiles with cafe style seating. The place has a great vibe! We were there on a Friday around 1:00 pm and every seat was occupied . We lucked out that one couple paid their bill as we were entering. Server was prompt to hand us menus and bring drinks to our table. I really lived my Avocado Toast, w/ goat cheese. I added goat cheese .. they offer to serve it w/ egg option. Went for breakfast today and what a disappointment!!! Ordered a latte, that was lukewarm, I asked for it to be reheated, she made me a new one which was nice of her but only to watch her make the espresso shot and it's not fresh ground beans, it's a pod!! Latte was horrible!!! Asked for Brioche french toast, they were out, asked about the steak and eggs(market price) only to be told it's $31.00!!!!! That's outrageous, ordered an avocado toast with poached eggs, the chef seems to not know how to poach an egg, looked like something out of a horror movie! The avocado toast was good but the poached eggs were over done and was terrible, not even beautifully presented, throw in a bowl with a bunch of water. Maybe management needs to review dishes with their chef a before sending out to paying customers. read more

What a cute brunch gem! While the seating area is small, the food is packed with flavor and the staff are courteous and pleasant. We went for brunch a few days ago and were pleasantly surprised at just how good the breakfast options were! The fresh orange juice was sweet and tart. The coffee (regular and decaf) was perfect! Popped in just before 1pm on a spring Friday. Restaurant was bustling with most seats occupied both inside and out, but we were still seated promptly. Excellent service AND food! I enjoyed the Greco omelette and my friend raved about her Fig & Brie + T sandwich. The iced vanilla oatmilk lattes we ordered were very good, too. We never felt rushed during our visit. Came here for brunch on Saturday. I had no problem getting a table for 2. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Classico French toast without cinnamon sugar and dulce de leche drizzle. The portion was very small, I left still hungry. I ordered a side of eggs which my mom devoured! Came for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised. If you're going to come during the weekend, make sure you call ahead. Sorriso Kitchen is very busy and I'm glad that I called. The restaurant is not large, but they did a very good job with their decor. The restroom is immaculate and you could see the busy kitchen right from your seat. My Mocha Cappuccino was exceptional, but wish it would have been served in a larger cup. Every entree was very good, well seasoned, and at the right temperature. What a cute and cozy wintry brunch experience! We came here with the kids on a Sunday, blustery morning and got seated right away. The restaurant was still decked out in holiday lights, which brought a nice warmth. We called ahead to check on the waitlist (which we learned from the other reviews) and were welcomed right away when we entered. The place was very kid- and family-friendly, as other families with smaller children were also dining in. There were definitely several highlights of our meal, including: their sausage links and crispy potatoes (as part of the smilin farmer's platter) and their special Nutella latte. The kids enjoyed their special carbonara omelette and the well known limone ricotta pancakes with added strawberries. The homemade OJ was also a hit. When we arrived, we were not immediately acknowledged, while two other groups who entered after us were immediately greeted and allowed to put their names down after we did. The party directly behind us was a group of five, and the party after them was a group of two. There were already four clean two-top tables visible and ready to be seated. Your host simply chose not to seat us. So while your establishment may not intentionally operate that way, it would be wise to have a serious conversation and proper training with your host about bias and professionalism. Even in your response, there was no genuine attempt to welcome us back or offer an opportunity to experience the restaurant differently. Only a statement that you "wish" we had experienced it another way. That's disappointing. To be clear, it wasn't the wait that was the issue. The issue was that we arrived first, there were multiple clean tables available, and yet the parties who arrived after us were seated before us. When I asked the host why, she claimed our table "wasn't ready yet" and that the other party "was here first", which was untrue, especially since she initially told us to wait outside because she just needed to clean the tables. read more

I was with 2 others. We all got eggs. One person got avocado toast. If you like greasy, fried eggs, you'll like them here. My eggs were really crisp on the edge. The potatoes tasted too cooked. My friend and I had an excellent lunch at Sorriso Kitchen on a Friday afternoon. I've been waiting to try out this place for ages. Every time I try to go something interferes, but I was finally able to visit! I'm so glad I didn't give up on this place because the food was absolutely delicious! I put my name in and the host said it would be about a 15 minute wait for an outdoor table. No big deal. They shoot you a text when the table is ready and you can check your place in line. As we were waiting my friend sat on one of the benches under an umbrella and fed her three and a half month old her bottle. The host came up to us and told us he was going to set up a table for us at the bench so we wouldn't have to move. It was so nice and kind of him. He said they normally have a table there and it was being used for a bigger party, so he grabbed a table from the back and set us up. I ordered a vanilla cold brew and my friend got a hazelnut cold brew. The iced coffees were delicious and really hit the spot on this rather warm day. They were also served in to-go cups which is great because I was able to take mine with me when I headed out. I then ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and my friend ordered a short stack (2) of the lemon ricotta pancakes. The cinnamon roll pancakes were GLORIOUS. They were light and fluffy. I did not feel super stuffed after eating them like I usually do when I have pancakes. The vanilla glaze was so good, and syrup was not needed as the pancakes were already sweet enough. My friend also enjoyed her lemon ricotta pancakes as well. Our spot under the umbrella was perfect, and we had an all around excellent meal. My family and I stopped in here on a whim for brunch on a random weekday and I was surprised to see busy waiters busing so many full tables. I figured that's always a good sign, and sure enough, we had a great time. The owners and waiters were so patient with the two toddlers we had in tow (even when one of them mischievously toppled over his entire cup of water onto the table), and the food was delivered with impressive expediency. I thought the prices seemed a little high for what we ordered. For instance, I ordered a breakfast platter that included two eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes, but the serving size seemed surprisingly small compared to the near fifteen-dollar ticket price. That being said, the potatoes here are absolutely divine. I don't know what's being done to them in the kitchen, but they were preternaturally crispy on the outside and as smooth as mashed potatoes on the inside. If I could give this place more than 5 starts I would! This family-owned business holds a special place in my heart as they serve a lesser known purpose every Monday - they close and offer real life job training for kids with special needs! You can tell that all of the food is made with love and that the owners truly care about serving their community and welcoming you into their family! As for food, everything I've ever ordered was devoured. Some of my favorites are the cinnamon roll pancakes, the chorizo breakfast bowl, the LJB panini, and the classic Daddy burger. Whatever you get, make sure you get a side of potatoes...these are the real deal! Tonight my family ordered the shrimp & grits to go to support Chatham SEPAG. The food was great and the portions were huge! We all have leftovers and I am excited to eat this again tomorrow! The grits were super cheesy and there were a bunch of huge shrimp in each serving. Perfect for brunch, it does get busy so come early. We went around 930am and it got crowded fast. Great breakfast selection along with lunch sandwiches available. My mom had panini for the first time and gave the double thumbs up! That yogurt was delish, however baby brother ate all the toppings with lots of yogurt left. Lastly I had the classic sorriso sandwich that I forgot to take photo of.... delicious! Make sure to let them know you want fries instead of potatoes that it comes with. Our waitress didn't check on us during our stay :/ Our second plate was the Bread Pudding French Toast which was dry and a let down but I appreciated the Strawberries! I met my good friend here for a lunch date on a weekday. We decided on Sorriso as it was midway between our two homes. The service was very attentive, but not to the point of being obtrusive.
