Just went for a hang with friends. Had a reservation for 5 and they wanted to seat us at a four person booth. We had to ask for a larger table. The food was not great. I got the Sonoran hot dog and it was not satisfying. It was dry. Chips and salsa and guacamole were good. Drinks were ok. If you don't like Smokey drinks and also can't have dairy it really slims down your options. The view is great, but I would not go back just for the view when I didn't enjoy the drinks or food. read more

The venue is much smaller than I expected. It's very beautiful and provides an intimate setting. Nice view of downtown Gilbert. My husband said the mesquite old fashion is excellent. Christian was super attentive and gave great recommendations. We came here for after dinner drinks, music was great, it was packed but we were able to find perimeter seats. I had the smoked old fashioned and the tableside presentation set the precedence for our visit - smooth and delicious. We also had the bartenders choice, which was well-balanced and flavorful. We changed it up in the second round with the Colada - another tableside presentation, flambed (I love dinner & a show) and generously poured. Ambiance was really nice - they have a great view of the Gilbert water tower & during sunset, the sky is beautiful to watch. They had a DJ Saturday evening and music matched their vibe. The food was pretty good, but the items we originally wanted to order were unavailable. Our server was kind, but maybe a little inexperienced; when he gave us the QR code for the menu, it would have been beneficial to be told which items off their menu they were out of at that time so that we didn't need to choose twice. We wanted the Chips and Salsa, but they were out of salsa, and we also wanted to order a burger, but they were out of burgers. I enjoyed my Orange Julius mocktail; wasn't sure what was in it because the menu didn't list the ingredients, but it was a really nice refreshing drink during an extra hot Arizona evening. Ended up getting their Queso Fundido; the homemade tortilla chips were appetizing, and the cheese pull for the queso dip was great and tasty. Added steak to their AZ Roots Salad & the overall flavor of the salad was excellent. The server was attentive and got us everything we asked for and answered all our questions about items off the menu. Something surprising was that they charge $3.50 for club soda while at majority of restaurants and bars, it's free. We did attempt to book a reservation with them for a special occasion previously and we were emailed a credit card authorization form in case of canceling or a reduction in the guest count, but we opted for elsewhere because the email and form didn't say what the amount of the charge would be if either happened and that seemed odd not to list the fee. We had originally hoped walking in to have this place become a regular dinner spot for us; however with them being out of dishes with their already limited food menu, it might not be in the cards. The only reason to come here is for the view and ambiance. The food and drinks are mediocre at best, and seriously lack spice and seasoning. That's coming from someone who doesn't like spicy food. It should've been a red flag when the serving tray they brought us had a large chip and the plates were dirty. The chicken tinga quesadillas were bland and the steak tacos didn't seem fully cooked. We got well cocktails because it was still happy hour. Our server's response to this was "Nobody orders drinks like that here." Now this was very off-putting to me. When the drinks finally came after a long wait, the server put them in front of us and said "We didn't have any limes but I figured you wouldn't care." We did care. A hidden gem. A fairly small space on the 3rd floor, with a comfortable patio and open-aired bar as well as some indoor seating. I've been here twice, and been able to sample many of the food and cocktail offerings. Everything is very good, some of the best in the East Valley. Today I had the jalapeño poppers (these aren't like the deep-fried bar food at all), chicken tortilla soup, and filet mignon tacos. So impressed, the soup has some chunks of carrot, potatoes, and cheese in it. Never had anything quite like it. Many of the items are gluten free (things with corn tortillas, which covers a number of items) or can be made that way if you have an allergy or preference for that. Worst experience in my life. I've always wanted to come here because it's a rooftop bar in downtown Gilbert and it looks really pretty at night so we decided to try it on Cinco de mayo. It's all the way up on the third floor so you take the stairs all the way up and it looks like you are reaching a dead end but it's really not. It was not even busy for such a busy holiday - there were some people at the bar and a few tables available so we were told just to sit anywhere. 15-20 minutes passed and there was no server to approach us. I have seen the same server help out the other tables but completely overlook us. At the 30 minute mark I went up to the bar and asked if we could order drinks and she told me a server will be there. Why is it that I look over and there's 5 servers including the bartenders just on their phone and laughing so now I'm pissed. We finally get helped and order two classic margaritas. Ended up super gross. Idk if it was the mix they use but it was super sweet and had a weird aftertaste to it so we both couldn't finish it. We ended up asking for shots instead and just left. Never had I ever had such a poor experience at a bar. Completely disappointed and in shock. Hopefully if you decide to come here it's for the food and on a good day because you'll get horrible customer service otherwise. read more

We went on Saturday around 8 pm. Place had nice atmosphere with good music playing. We ordered a few drinks and ate dinner. The waitress was fine but other than that I feel they missed the mark on several things. For starters, non of the drinks where any good. The coffee espresso my wife ordered was very watered down. The other two drinks were very sugary as if no alcohol was present. We originally ordered a salad and ceviche and both items were sold out. We did the tacos and pulled pork sandwich.
