Very good service and ambiance for a casual lunch. I loved the appetizers, and you can't beat the price for healthy vegan food with GF options. I will say the macro plate, while very healthy, was absolutely screaming for seasoning. They offer a dressing choice but it wasn't enough to counteract no salt. That being said the guac was divine, cornbread too.

These cookies are pure magic! They're the perfect treat for any occasion or just to satisfy a sweet craving. The combination of flavors is sheer perfection, and they're always so fresh. A true vegan cookie gem! I'm hooked!

Souen?? More like So When do I get to go back? Obsessed with this place and the way it makes your body feel like you've made no mistakes in your life, you mischievous scoundrel. The food is so fresh and delicious and nourishing that you feel like you never spent a night in college losing 6 beer pong games in a row. You spent every night in college going to bed early and drinking a ton of water. Their house tea is great, it's a more fun rooibos. Bet you didn't think rooibos could get more fun!! If it's still not fun enough for you, there's a great selection of hot sake that is sure to make you lighten up, you cranky cynic. The vibes are like your healthy friend's kitchen, if your healthy friend wasn't annoying and preachy and bad at telling jokes all the time. You'll want to just hang out and nest in the casual atmosphere. Maybe you can stay long enough to try every vegetable plate on the menu like I want to. They're all so hot and fresh!! Like you will be when you finally start eating clean, you gluttonous freak! Go to souen and start today

Wish we had discovered this place sooner! So many great Asian/Japanese dishes that are refined sugar free which is nearly impossible to find! Due to my husband's dietary restriction of no refined sugar, he hasn't had dumplings for years because it's just part of the recipe to flavor dumplings with sugar. But Souen is free of processed sugar for everything!! We enjoyed all the dishes and will definitely come back. The burdock root salad was refreshing and sweetened with maple syrup. The tofu skin dish was also yummy. Also had the berry Kanten (like jelly) for dessert which was light and perfect.

Looking for vegan ramen in the area, I stopped in. Ordered the vegan Tahini Shoyu Ramen with buckwheat noodles (a bit healthier than other noodles) based on recommendation. The serving size is huge and loaded with veggies. Sadly was lacking salt and much flavor. Very filling for $16, but wish there was more flavor. Most of the portion sizes looked large from what I saw at other tables. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but they seem to do a lot of takeout orders. Have your vax card ready if you plan to dine in. Restrooms are available.

Classic good food. Eat here everyday and live forever. Delivery is sketchy though and don't rush them. Good noodles take time.

It just has that something-special quality- there's a good premise (veg/vegan mexican food makes so much sense), nice ambience, extremely yummy drinks, and a solid vibe. The first time I got a reservation with a friend; the second time I walked in and sat solo at the bar. Both times I had very friendly, helpful service. I've tried tacos (with vegan chorizo, don't see it on the menu at the moment), a quesadilla, and if I remember right, the fried mushrooms. They were all great - the tacos were amazing. And both times I/we got the churros, which are FIRE - I'm not even a dessert person but I highly highly recommend getting them if you like churros / cinnamon / chocolate at all. This is a lovely spot for a date, friends' hangout, parents in town, but maybe a little small to expect a big group to fit nicely. It was loud but not too loud. Expensive for sure but it feels really nice, not just a regular overpiced spot. And I'm not a vegetarian (neither is my friend), so take that into account.

Sentir is 100% vegan, and I would confidently bring even my carnivore friends here without hesitation. If nobody told you it was vegan, you'd simply think you were eating some of the most creative, flavorful Mexican food you've ever had. It's that good. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this isn't just another restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and inviting without feeling pretentious. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind (thanks Camila who served us both days!), knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to talk about the menu and the other restaurants in the group. Their passion for what they do shines through in every interaction. The food completely exceeded every expectation we had. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with bold flavors, and unlike anything we've had before. We found ourselves talking about every bite and immediately discussing what we'd come back to try... which ended up being less than 24 hours later. We were so excited by the food on our first visit that we completely forgot to take pictures! (It became a complete afterthought because we had already scarfed everything down. ) Thankfully, we redeemed ourselves on day two! The cocktails also deserve their own standing ovation. They're creative, beautifully crafted, and every bit as memorable as the food. If you're looking for a restaurant where every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered from the atmosphere and service to the food and drinks, Sentir absolutely delivers. We travel to NYC often and almost never eat at the same restaurant twice because there are so many amazing places to try. The fact that we chose to come back the very next day says everything you need to know. Sentir has officially earned a permanent spot on our "must visit" list every time we're in that part of the city. What We Ate (and absolutely LOVED): Sentir Guac - Easily one of the freshest and most flavorful guacamoles we've ever had. It was served with chips and a deep fried tofu that was reminiscent of a "chicken skin" or something along those lines. I've never tried anything like it and it was good and unique! Carne Asada Tacos - Perfectly seasoned with amazing texture and incredible flavor. Al Pastor Chicken Tacos - Sweet, savory, smoky, and absolutely delicious. Cream of Corn - I wasn't expecting a bowl of corn to stand out the way it did. It was warm, comforting and cheesy. I just wish it came with something to dip with. Unfortunately too much was dripping through the fork and I wanted to savor it all! Chile Rellenos - Beautifully prepared with layers of flavor in every bite. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth! Tamal de Carne - Tender, comforting, and packed with incredible flavor. What We Drank: Sentir Michelada - One of the best my husband ever had. The chose Modelo as the beer Little Pitcher - This was a bunch drink. It had grapefruit & orange juice (among other things) but it was shockingly unique and dangerously easy to drink. Café con Ron - The perfect twist or play on an espresso martini but a million times better! Nutty Olivia - I believe this was on "special" and it was a mooth, creative, and another cocktail I'd order again in a heartbeat. It contains gin, which my husband doesn't like but he must have stolen at least 3 sips before I told him to worry about his own drink! Final thought: If a restaurant is good enough to make us skip trying somewhere new in New York City and instead return the very next day, that's about the highest compliment we can give. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a lifelong meat eater, do yourself a favor go!!! I have a feeling you'll be planning your second visit before you even finish your first.

SERVICE - located in Chelsea…read more - spacious interior with tables for groups of 2-4 people - reservations are not required though could be helpful if you do not want to risk waiting - great service! our waiter provided us with comprehensive descriptions of the dishes and drinks - food served relatively quickly - ambiance good for a semi formal meal MENU - french American bistro food - all vegan/vegetarian - slightly pricey FOOD - French dip (7/10): vegan grilled steak with provolone cheese, goat cheese, caramelized onion, and horseradish aioli on a toasted baguette served with a side of au jus dip and fries. This sandwich is usually not something that is available vegetarian so i was curious to see the flavors and textures. The steak is chewy and meaty so if you are not a fan of faux meat then i would proceed with caution. I enjoy the cheeses here as they are unique and different from each other. The sandwich overall was okay though not my favorite sandwich ever. - smoked Mac and cheese (7/10): macaroni with smoked goat cheese, cheddar, mozzarella baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with vegan pancetta and breadcrumbs. This was a cozy appetizer especially on a cold day. The flavors of the cheese are rich and smoky with a hint of saltiness from the pancetta and breadcrumbs. I would have liked it to be a larger portion and offered as an entree. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I liked the ambiance and the option to try dishes that are usually meat heavy but the cuisine is not my personal favorite.
