The hours are not accurate. Not open every day. Waisted my lunch break going there. Concierge at the building entrance also had no clue.

Really nice meal before the show with my vegetarian friends…read more Recently a couple of friends and I needed to grab a quick bite. I thought we were going to another place when one of my guests suggested Thaihey across the street from the fire station on Decatur. Yes, sure. It's a typical Quarter restaurant with its long gallery seating. We were seated right away. The menu appeared to be heavily vegetarian which was great for my two friends. Many will understand the limited menu options for vegetarians at most places. Wes ordered Tom Kai, Becky the Massaman Jackfruit option and I the one with short rib. It was delicious. It was warm and comforting, full of flavor and the chef made it less spicy for me. What a delight to choose a menu option that I have never had and restaurant that I have never been to. You believe that I'll return for certain. Especially for that gorgeous Mai Tai!

Try Thaihey you should be pleasantly surprised.

Coming from Los Angeles, I can be a bit spoiled…read more Thus I rounded up to 5 stars for Sun Chong as I thought the food was 4 stars just because I get awesome Korean food in LA. Now Sun Chong (recommended by our valet park guy and also the rental car people) combines a Korean/Soul/Creole fusion vibe. Right by Bourbon St behind the Customs House, the location isn't far from the craziness of Bourbon St. Reservations recommended, my coworker and I sat at the bar which was perfect (a table would have been a 20 min wait). Thanks and props to our waitresses, Tishara (typo?), the other lady with her (who left for Baton Rouge and came back home to NOLA), and the other young lady who's half Vietnamese, those 3 ladies really made the vibe at Sun Chong perfect. Always attentive, danced to the R&B, and A+ service to this west coast guy. I loved their two dumplings, the Étouffée Dumplings and the Gumbo Soup Dumplings. Those were awesome, those were the fusion dishes I recommend! The spicy pork was okay, good, the bulgogi beef was decent too. NOLA - Korean/Soul vibes 100%! Check it out. Did I mentioned the service and playlist were awesome? They were able to split the check for the 2 of us at the bar.

Yes…read more Nothing here set your staple Asian dishes apart from anywhere else and when the check came I was like ?? Not worth it. Wings could've had a crispier fry for the heavy sauce on top. It soaked in quick and made it a big soggy. Sauce was super sweet with low dimension in flavors. Crawfish fried rice - okayyy. Tasted like regular fried rice to me. Crab Rangoon was mostly just a cheese dip. The wonton chips and sweet chili on the side is the only thing that tied this dish together to remotely give it crab Rangoon inspired. Delete from your "must try" NOLA list - it's just not.

Comfortably air conditioned, nice bathrooms, cute bar area where they shuck oysters (I want seats there next time). Joel was attentive, knowledgeable, and had the best recommendations. Made the visit a 5 star. Coming from a server, I really appreciated his service and his kind words. HAPPY HOUR MADE MY DAY!! 3-5pm happy accident!! Maybe my hubby planned it. But 6$ drinks!!! $40 three course meal!! $1 oysters!!! Left full and jolly. Huckleberry marg I think they only have rocks and wine glasses tho... just an observation bc my martini came in a funny choice. Food wise: We got the crawfish bengeits (GAS), 6 raw oysters (HUGE), 6 charbroiled oysters (MUST HAVE!!), shrimp boil (huge whole gulf shrimp ‍) for an appetizer. Surf and Turf 9/10 Blackened Gulf Fish & Crawfish Tails 15/10 Everything was amazing and seasoned beautifully. No substitutions w respect to the chef I will say I was very disappointed to see unprofessional replies from "Jeff" that almost made me rethink my decision of writing a review in support.

When I arrived, the bartender told me that someone had already picked up my order. I was confused because I obviously had not received my food. I went back and forth with the bartender and manager trying to understand what happened, but instead of simply acknowledging that there was an issue with my order and helping resolve it, I felt like I was being treated as if I was somehow responsible for the restaurant having to remake the food. At one point, the concern seemed to be that they would have to make the order again and only get paid once. Respectfully, that has nothing to do with me. I paid for my food, and I never received it. My expectation was simply that the restaurant would work with me to figure out what happened and make sure I received what I paid for. I also asked how they were able to identify that someone had picked up my order. The bartender explained that they don't receive many DoorDash pickup orders, but that still didn't answer my question. If the order had specific pickup instructions on my phone, how could the restaurant verify that the person who picked it up was actually the person who placed the order? What bothered me most was the attitude and the unnecessary back-and-forth. I've never experienced anything like this at a restaurant before. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that. But when a customer has paid for an order and says they never received it, the response should be to investigate the situation and help resolve it--not make the customer feel like they're arguing for food they already paid for. I left without the food I ordered and feeling very frustrated by the way the situation was handled. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to review how pickup orders are being verified and, more importantly, how customers are treated when something goes wrong.

I came across Dian Xin and it felt like a tiny oasis from the heat, humidity and bustle of the French Quarter. I ordered a variety of dishes to try and everything was great. The standout for me was the cucumber salad. Fresh, cool, zesty, spicy and crunchy - just what I needed to beat the heat. Loved the Hong Kong wonton soup as well as the tiny pan fried bao. I'll be back to try the soup dumplings and spicy wontons next time! Service was quick and pleasant and the food came out fresh and steaming. Give it a try for something a little off the beaten path in the Quarter!

I've eaten here before and the food is decent, which makes this experience even more disappointing…read more I ordered a dish with shrimp and simply asked to substitute broccoli for the rice. When the bill arrived, I noticed I had been charged extra for the broccoli and also charged for shrimp--even though shrimp was already the protein included in the menu item I ordered. I politely questioned the charge, and the explanation I received didn't seem to match what was stated on the menu. I then asked to speak with a manager so the issue could be addressed. After quite a bit of discussion in the kitchen, the server returned, but instead of a manager coming out, I was given essentially the same explanation we had already discussed. I calmly explained why the charges didn't make sense and expressed that I was unhappy with how the situation was being handled. Unfortunately, there seemed to be little interest in resolving the concern or retaining my business. The food is fine, but my advice is to carefully review your bill before paying. Based on my experience, management does not appear particularly concerned when customers raise billing issues.

I started with the Lavender Daiquiri, which was delicious and had a really nice balance of flavors. The flavor profile was SO good the perfect sweet-and-spicy combination, with tons of flavor in every bite. Definitely something I'd order again. For my entrée, I went with the chicken Pad Thai, medium spicy. The portion was satisfying and the dish was flavorful, although it was a little sweeter than I personally prefer. It came with a spring roll on the side, which was surprisingly tasty and a great little addition to the meal. Overall, this was a really solid lunch spot. Great service, flavorful food, and a convenient walk from the office. The pork & shrimp wontons alone have me wanting to come back and try more of the menu!

We ordered the bao and immediately noticed a sour taste after only one bite. We informed our server that we did not enjoy the dish, but it was not removed from our bill. Additionally, the chicken pho broth lacked flavor and tasted more like dirty water than a properly prepared pho broth. Service was also lacking. Throughout much of our visit, several staff members appeared to be sitting at the bar on their phones rather than actively attending to guests. The overall hospitality did not meet our expectations. To make matters worse, when paying with tap-to-pay, the gratuity screen only presented tip options of 20%, 22%, and 25%. The server held the payment tablet while we completed the transaction, creating an uncomfortable situation where customers may feel pressured to leave a substantial tip regardless of the quality of service received. Given the level of service we experienced, this left a particularly poor impression. Based on our experience with both the food quality and customer service, I would not recommend this restaurant to others looking for a place to eat while visiting the area.
