Baron provided me the time and information to thoroughly review and educate me on the product and installation. Baron went above and beyond in installing the equipment and hardware to suit my needs even through it was a different configuration than their usual installs. Brought my brand new Wrangler here in '17 for a consult on replacing the radio and adding a back up camera. I made sure I clarified that they could handle this job because they did quote a bit less than other shops I went, and it was a brand new vehicle and have had bad repairs done elsewhere on vehicles I've owned in the past. Fast forward 3 years I've had to bring it in at least 10-12 times, primarily because my dash has a perma-rattle. It's never been the same. On flat roads with no potholes, speed bumps or texture the rattle is minimal, but as they increase so does the noise. 3-stars because the guys I've worked with the most, Anthony and Pete, are pleasant people and I'm sure doing the best they can. They didn't do the initial install, just trying to fix the issue. The price was fair, assuming there was no rattle. And had I known this was going to be the resultant outcome I probably wouldn't have got it done at all. read more

I had my back window which has defroster's in it re- tinted because the old tint was bubbling so they had to remove the old tint which was labor-intensive. I highly recommend this company!!!!! They were friendly, very professional, very knowledgeable, and did an excellent job. I will not be taking my car anywhere else for window tinting. They were reasonably priced, and if they had charged me more, I would've paid for it because they were that good. I thought because the original tent was so old that it was going to be a long wait, but they were so quick to turn around that I was pleasantly surprised. Excuse after excuse with 0 communication and 100% Dishonesty. Best not to take your vehicle here. Baron had a chance to earn my business and miserably failed. Did an install on my BMW, and the day after I got it back it wouldn't start. His "team" then proceeded to give me 3 different stories (from 3 different employees) about how it wasn't the install that caused it. One Hell of a coincidence if you ask me. Making matters worse, it took them over a MONTH to fix the issue. Mind you they had my X5 the entire time! Yes, they kept my car for over 1 month to fix the mistakes they made, this is not a joke. On top of all this, they tried to charge me for the "repair" and when I got my vehicle back my OBD II port was rewired and hidden behind my dash! Trying to charge me for damaging my car. BBB will be added to your favorite contacts if you let this amateur any where near your vehicle, trust me here folks. Pretty obvious they are not professional, and accountability is a foreign concept. This guy actually fired one of his employees over how my car was handled, and it wasn't even the guys fault. This is 100% on Baron, the owner of this sorry excuse for a shop. THIS IS NOT AN ETHICAL PERSON TO DO BUSINESS WITH. BARON IS A COMMON DIRT BAG THAT GIVES AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY A BAD NAME. I bought another used car and it had door lock and automatic trunk release issues. A vehicle wiring friend of mine recommended Sound Check. The funny thing was that I have used Sound Check on numerous vehicles before. Anyway, I took my sports car in and explained to Barron my issues. He kept the car on the Saturday and installed a new alarm and fixed my door lock and trunk lock issues. He had quoted me a fair price, and even though the job took longer due to some trunk latch issues, Barron kept to his quoted price. I was happy with the services provided by Barron and his team. I am planning on returning soon to get a car stereo upgrade and If I decide to tint my convertibles side windows I will have them do the job also. read more

Please stay away from this company; when a problem arises Baron likes to blame the customer and not take responsibility. Sub blew within a year(under warranty), so he pawns the business side off on me to contact Sony. That's fine I suppose, but after talking with Sony the business receipt is so poor, I reach out to sound check to have another made and after 2 weeks of waiting baron says "would you like to come down to the shop and do it". Great work initially, but work ended up being faulty and I take the blame. The reason I ask for the work here is because I'm an amateur. It's a bit of a small shop and only accessible from the garage side. When you're coming down the street, the first shop closest to the street is a sandwich place. If you go down you'll see an open garage with audio stuff on the outside. That's the place. I went to get bluetooth, USB, aux installed on my car that has a built in entertainment/climate control thing (what a pain that is) and they matched the competitor price. While I was there I also had them remove my tint. They were pretty fast, but it's a small shop so I'd recommend having some sort of appointment. They know their stuff and my audio is working great, and you'd never know someone was ever knee deep in my dash innards. read more

I'm going to preface this review by saying I've waited 8 LONG months to write this review and if I could give negative stars so would. I shouldnt have taken a chance on this place due to the horrid reviews, but I'm the good outweighed the bad. This was by far THE WORST experience I've ever had with any auto shop/specialty shop. I called to get a quote to have a backup camera installed in my Audi. They said no problem we can have it done in 3 hours and it would be $150. There were no additional questions asked other than the make/model of my vehicle- no inquires about the camera. I made an appointment and dropped my car off the next day and no one even greeted me. The woman made me wait for about 10 min before she said anything to me and then proceeded to act like I didn't have an appointment. Finally she took my keys and the camera . She told me to pick it up in around 3 hours and that they would call me if it was done sooner or when it was done. Well, 5pm rolled around and I didn't hear from them... I call and they tell me they can't get the camera to work. I'm not sure why they didn't just call and let me know instead of proceeding to try to install it. They told me they'd need it another day. I agreed and sent them the contact information for the vendor that I purchased the camera for so they could collaborate and potentially figure out the issue. The next day my car STILL wasn't ready and the camera wasn't working properly. They told me I needed a new harness so I had the vendor ship me a new one. When I picked up my car I had multiple issues with my electronics. Include the nonstop warning that my trunk was open. Which prohibits me from accessing any settings on my Audi or seeing my mph, gas mileage, etc. I then Informed them of this issue and they told me they'd check it when I brought my car back with the new harness. I bring in the new harness a week later and I'll they proceeded to take another TWO days to install this camera. I had zero updates and when I picked my car up the trunk open warning was still there. I told them it was there and they didn't even care. They said it wasn't there fault. I ended up finding out they shorted a bunch of my wires from incorrect installation and it's going to cost me thousands to redo the wiring and reset all the internal electronics. To top it all off, they told me they weren't able to remove the camera to restore my car to original working conditions and proceeded to charge me double the quoted price even though they never reached out to let me know they didn't know how to install it. If you can take your vehicle anywhere else PLEASE DO. save yourself thousands from this incompetent company. I've also reported them to the BBB. read more

These guys did a lousy job installing stereo equipment in my truck. My stereo deck trim kit was delivered to me with a crack it where it would not snap in place. The amps they installed came loose causing several fuses to blow out. Left them a message what happened and never got a response back. In addition I mistakenly left my old deck and speakers at their shop, when I asked for them back they denied that I left anything at the shop. Razor blades and trash was left behind after the install. I would not get any work done by these guys. read more

If I could give these guys an extra star, I would in an instant. Sadly, am limited to a 5-star rating. A little backstory, I drive a Lexus IS300 and put a system in it about 5 years ago. It ran great, up until I hit major pothole last week. I tried to figure it out on my own at first, but with my system being a dual amp-dual sub setup, I came to the conclusion I would have to take it to a pro. I could not have gone to a better place than Sound Check Systems. I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly Robert was able to diagnose and analyze exactly what was causing my stereo to ground in/out. My stereo sounded BETTER than it did before I hit the pothole, Robert even helped me tune it. I was so excited that I went and bought them lunch right after I got the keys back. I didnt even have to replace any equipment, Robert fixed a few grounds in the rear and some wires behind the head-unit and I was on my way. If you are having an issue with your car stereo, or are looking for a professional install on a new system or upgrades, I honestly couldnt recommend these guys more. I will be taking my car to them everytime in the future for when I decide to upgrade any equipment, and also will probably be back next week/weekend for a window tint too haha. Amazing experience! I was looking to get my windows tinted and was looking around at other local shops. Was recommended to go here by a friend. Did not disappoint. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and found my needs, scheduled an appointment in short notice and was done quickly. The quality of the work was amazing. I returned shortly after that experience to finish audio setup on my car and once again was not disappointed. They picked out an amp that worked with components I had installed and properly secured a custom subwoofer box. I decided I wasn't going to be the next victim of a catalytic converter thief. So I consulted with Barron, the owner of Sound Check Systems, and we came up with a unique solution. Sound Check put a motion detector under my car which is adjustable for sensitivity, along with an ear-splitting siren. Heh, Heh. Now let them try to steal it without going deaf! While my car was there, I also had them install a Viper Alarm in my car. Cars seem to be easily stolen now, due to black market electronics that allow thieves to clone your electronic key, and enter your car. I had Sound Check install the Viper Alarm with a 4 second delay, and the siren inside the cap. Now, if someone bypasses or forces their way in my car to either steal it or root around looking for something to steal, an ear piercing alarm will go off, putting a stain in their panties. Sound Check did a wonderful job in helping me design the system, and the installation went without a hitch. Great job guys. read more
