Scott installed a Sony System in my 2009 Porsche Boxster. Due to the Bose amplifier, this installation was a bit more complicated. He had to beg his distributor to locate the special kit necessary. This place is great! I heard of this company from years back, but I never got the chance to check them out. So I had this viper alarm that i had bought for my car, ended up choosing to put in my other vehicle instead. I spoke to Scott and he was very polite & extremely knowledgeable about these alarms. I pulled the trigger, he installed it in no time at all. It took him like 45 minutes lol. He's a pro. I'm 100% satisfied. He did a great job. I recommend this place to everyone. I went to Sound Sensation because I was having issues with my remote starter (Avital) on my Nissan Altima. My first interaction with Scott was about 9 years ago. I wanted to replace the factory deck and front speakers in my Honda. Based on my wants and budget Scott picked out equipment that would get me close to all of my wants as possible. The install was clean, fast, and professional. A couple of years later I wanted a remote starter installed in the same vehicle. Another clean and fast install. The remote starter continues to work flawlessly. At the beginning of the pandemic I decided it was time to add bass to my car. Scott hooked me up with the right box, speaker, and amp for the sound I was looking for. Sounded great! finally, about a month ago I decided to have Scott install component speakers in the front and an amp. The sound is light years better. I certainly would have gone this route years ago but my budget wouldn't allow it. Thankfully with Scott's expert input I was able to slowly add to my system over the years and I couldn't be happier. Over the years I have had a lot of work done here including a remote car starter, a fairly high end stereo/amp/subwoofer set up in a classic Camaro, and aftermarket stereos in 2 Honda Civics. The work, customer service, attention to detail, and follow up support has been outstanding. I mean several years after having my remote starter installed, it stopped working. I brought it in waaaaaay past the warranty period thinking I would be paying for an entire new system. Scott had it fixed in 20 minutes with a new antenna... free of charge. He recently put a new Alpine stereo in my Civic. It was much cheaper than I expected and sounds amazing. Plus Scott is a super nice guy who really knows his stuff and bends over backwards to make sure you are happy. HIGHLY recommend this place, couldn't be happier. read more

Lifetime warranty on installation/wiring they said. I brought back my car 3 times because they wired my system wrong , they now refuse to fix the problem because they don't have the knowledge. Scott pretends to repair problem but months later it comes back. Cost me over $1000 to have Dealer fix it. Avoid this place read more

Scott and his crew are the best!...heres a sample of their character...I brought my 2005 Pontiac GTO in for an upgrade on my sound system...got a really nice Pioneer touch screen and Alpine speakers...My car sounds great...but heres the real story...when Scott brought me out to explain how things worked...there was a 20$ bill in my center console....apparently it fell out of one of my pockets and in between my seat and the door...Scott told me he found it there...In this day and age to find that kind of honesty and integrity is refreshing...The product, workmanship and integrity of this audio car service is to be recommended highly...Thanks Scott and crew! read more

I was diligently searching for a place to install a remote starter and most places I researched had a fair amount of negative reviews. I went to Sound Sensation on the recommendation of a friend. I scheduled my install for a Friday morning, dropped my truck off and the owner told me it should be ready by 10:30am. I received a call at 10:00am that my truck was ready. When I picked up my vehicle the owner took plenty of time to demonstrate the features of the remote and answered any questions I had. I was totally satisfied with the friendly and knowledgeable service I received and my remote starter works as advertised. read more

I loved the service that was provided to me. I took my Chrysler 200 in to have a remote started installed and I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours!! The amount of time that was taken to show me how my remote starter worked was amazing! I inquired about other services that I might possibly want to have in my car in the future and was directed in the right direction of what I should do! Scott did an AMAZING job on my Lexus. He put in a full JL Audio system (JL Audio C5 front and rear, JL Audio RD900/5 amp, JL Audio Fix86, and JL Audio 12TW1 12" ported box). No one takes more pride in their work than he does. He did a full consultation with me prior to make sure he knew what I was going for and wanted/needed. He NEVER sold me, he was just interested in what I wanted to get from a new system and we talked options. I was overly impressed with the job itself and the attention to detail. Everything looked incredibly professional, was lined up and center perfectly, done with care and thought, and expertly installed. I did have a problem with one of the tweeters, and just a quick call to Scott took care of it, he got me a new one via JL Warranty, popped it in, and I was on my way. So not only are you getting a top tier professional job, the work is backed by Scott who will absolutely take care of you. He's a great dude and someone who I'm glad I got to meet through this job. I was referred to them as I had a car stereo that needed install. I went there by appointment to see if the stereo I had could be installed in my truck. Well let me tell you. They were AWESOME! Not only did they let me know it could be installed, they did the install at the same appointment. The guy working the desk (I think was the owner) was incredible. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and super honest. He didn't try to up sell me anything. I thought one of my speakers was blown but they listened/tested it and assured me it wasn't. I bet 90% of other places would have said Yes and charged me for new speakers. The tech doing the install was nice, professional and knowledgeable, as well. Also, while I was waiting, the owner was showing another customer some speakers and a stereo. I believe he sold him what the customer wanted/needed and not just the most expensive equipment. I was blown away by this. I am happy these types of honest people and businesses are still around these days. Needless to say, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND them! read more

Since I'm local to Chelmsford, I recommended this shop to him, knowing from my own experience that the work was great. Even though it was a long drive for him, I assured him it would be worth it. When we picked up the car, the guy who installed the rain guards mentioned it was his first time doing them and hoped they would stay on. I was a little taken aback by that, but I figured everyone has to start somewhere. A week later, my boyfriend went through a car wash, and the rain guard immediately fell off. We called the shop, and after about a week, he made the drive back for a replacement. When he got there, they opened the box and realized they had gotten th him the wrong part. Honestly, I felt that they should've double-checked the part before he drove all that way. After a few more weeks, the correct part was finally installed, but just three weeks later, it fell off again. At this point, we're extremely frustrated with the repeated issues--three times in total. We've wasted time, gas, and money, and the whole experience has been disappointing. I won't be returning or recommending this shop to anyone. If you're looking for reliable rain guards, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I got an inexpensive JVC single DIN unit and with an adapter kit they installed it in my double DIN dashboard. They even installed a very stock looking cubby underneath it. Brilliant, this car has nowhere to put stuff. Unfortunately because of the angle of my dashboard I couldn't read the display on the radio. I called them the next day and asked them if there was some kind of sunshade I could put over the radio because I thought the display was just being washed out by the sun. They called me back quickly and told me to come back and they put a different Alpine unit in it with a different kind of display. He showed me his receipt, from Boomers audio, in NH and confirmed the % tint. However, my receipt from carisma showed no such details apart from the services provided. I went back to carisma to inquire about my tint % and below is are the details from the response(s) I received from the owner: 1. They provided me with 40% tint. When i requested 35% 2. When i asked about why 40%, i was told that my factory windows are by default tinted by 5% so they use 40% for a final tint of 35% 3. After the fact that my tints were not the percentage i requested, ( confirmed with my dealership the windows were NOT tinted 5%), the owner stated that for me to get the darkness what i ORIGINALLY wanted, he would have to charge me the SAME price for the work as well as an additional charge for removal of the wrong tint that they installed!!! A month had not passed, but carisma conveniently states on the receipt , which does not detail the product provided, that refunds on services is contingent on owner approval. So it was obvious that i could not go that route of demanding a refund . It would have been a nice gesture to at least meet me halfway with a reduced cost for the service, considering that their explanation of their tints was given to me after the issue was brought up. I am instead using the money to have the tints service done the right way with honesty and integrity through boomers audio in merrimack, NH. They even offered a reduced quote of services when they heard my story. Hopefully this review can be used as a tool for service improvement for carisma and to ensure that any customer will not have to have the feeling that i had upon purchasing a car service or product. They took great care in ensuring that the installation was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I have been purchasing car speakers, head units, remote starters, and most recently a back-up camera from Scott at Sound Sensation for more than 4 years, and have been consistently impressed with the exceptional customer service that he offers. His knowledge far surpasses that of any area shops providing similar service, and Scott was always willing to offer advice when I chose to perform the installation myself. We first decided to come to sound sensations because of all the positive reviews. And what can I say they did an AMAZING JOB! Everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. My husband and I came in to get a subwoofer for our sons car for Christmas. He asked what we were looking for and advised accordingly. He did not try to sell me what I didn't ask for or need and he was very personable. The installation itself was better than expected. I recently (feb 6, 2014) had 4 speakers and a stereo, of my own, installed through Sound Sensation and thought I should write a review seeing I used these old reviews to guide me there. I have a 2007 PT Cruiser convertible and almost all was lost when it came to the rear speakers, He had a hell of a time trying to get them in, BUT, after a little extra wait time, he did it! Aparently my car was a tough oneand one he hadn't come accross before. But Scott did a fabulous job and it looks and sounds beautiful. Worth the price. I had some headrest DVD players in my car which intermittently powered off, so I called Sound Sensation to ask them to take a look at them. I got an appointment that same afternoon, took the car in, and within 15 minutes of arriving they had fixed the problem...and charged me a very reasonable fee. Sound Sensation hadn't installed the players nor had they ever heard of the brand of players that I had, but they were knowledgeable enough to find the problem very quickly. Very friendly, too. I had an Alpine navigation system, subwoofer and amplifier put in my 2011 Prius. Bluetooth and audio work with my steering wheel controls. Salesperson Case and Installer Scottie were both very knowledgeable. Installer was very experienced and communicated well regarding how to use the products. Price was fair for the complexity of the work completed. I recommend them highly and am very happy with this company. read more
