Not to mention, the all-you-can-eat salad and soup bar was calling my name. Hubby and I drove 40 minutes from our home to be dazzled. This place is a tad dated and little dark, but I actually loved that aspect. We were warmly greeted and sat in a booth in the back of restaurant. We also loved that too. Our server was very friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the country fried steak with fries and mac 'n cheese, I opted for the salad bar + half sandwich combo, choosing the cranberry chicken pecan salad sandwich solely due to the glowing yelp reviews. The salad bar was first...the salad mix looks like the bagged American mix you can get at the grocery store. There's a nice variety of dry and veggie toppings, though I wasn't a fan of the carrot chunks in the place of shreds or the yellowing cucumber slices. The salad bar also consists of a nacho, soup, baked potato and ice cream (soft serve) bar, so it's almost like a mini Souplantation. Wished they had the soups labeled, as I had no idea what was what. I think one was a chili and a loaded baked potato soup (which I tried and it was good). The nacho chips were very stale and the chunky potato wedges were very cold. The salad was fresh, though some of the veggie toppings looked and tasted a little old...the ranch dressing was the standard ranch, just average. Their chicken salad sandwich was very good, though a tad under seasoned...needed pepper or salt. Their chicken salad sandwich veggies were super fresh and the bread was thick and soft. My husband was not a fan of the country fried steak. He said that it was obviously a previously frozen reheated vendor-type meal... he expected that, but not such a low-grade frozen flavor. He said it was like a banquet frozen meal. Eek. The fries and fry sauce were good, the mac was average...at least they jazzed it up with a few shreds of cheese on top. We wanted to love this place so bad! There's definitely some merits with the salad bar at least.

Most of the employees looked like they would rather be anywhere else. Which showed in the food. Their once amazing Clam Chowder is now a bowl of the blandest potato soup I have ever had. I had to pour in salt and pepper just to have some flavor. I was thin and watery. In the entire bowl there was 2 clams and 1 piece of celery to go with the cup of potatoes. At least the potatoes were filling because the grilled cheese sandwich left a lot to be desired. It wasn't burnt, it was cooked perfectly, but the sub par ingredients used led to a thin dry sandwich that was hard as a rock before I got to my destination and opened the wrapper. The fact that they forgot to give me my soup spoon and crackers was just icing on the cake. I believe that there is something going on in the upper management of this place as it appears from the ouside that those working there are still trying to put out a great product and want to believe that their stuff is still good, but what they are given to work with is so sub standard that this is the best they can do. The atmosphere is very casual, metal tables and chairs, bright and cheerful. Even though it appears like a fast food restaurant, there is table service, and that's nice. Payten was our server, and she did a great job of taking care of us. Don't know what it would be like during the busy times. My wife ordered a Chicken Shawarma sandwich, and I got the Chicken Shawarma bowl. My wife liked the sandwich, and I enjoyed the bowl. Nicely seasoned chicken with a base of salad and Safron rice. Very filling, too. Also, their fries are very good. They are seasoned well and crispy, just the way I like them. We will definitely be back. The restaurant itself is very clean, modern, and inviting. The interior is well designed and creates a nice first impression. The service was slow but friendly. The staff was polite, though they seemed a bit timid and lacked confidence. The biggest disappointment was the food. Everything looked fresh, but it was surprisingly bland. The Greek salad had very little flavor, the hummus was equally underwhelming, and the gyro just wasn't anything memorable. We kept waiting for those bold Mediterranean flavors that never came. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it also wasn't one we'd repeat. There are better Greek and Mediterranean options in the Treasure Valley, so unfortunately we wouldn't return.

My nieces had the pulled pork which they said was the best they ever had. My dad ordered the Italian- he usually never orders a sandwich like that and he RAVED about it.
