I'll keep this one short and sweet. It's a cute idea. Went for a bike ride on the Bristol bike path…read moreand couldn't pass up trying this little cart. I saw a pizza oven, and I saw "taco" and was intrigued. We got a carne asada "taco" to split. Now look, the vehicle for the meat and toppings was literally a personal sized pizza. If you're getting a taco and a pizza, is either aspect of it going to be the best you ever had, nah. And that's what it turned out to be. The pizza was akin to blaze pizza quality. Not hand stretched, instead it was pressed and the crust lacked any good chew or depth of flavor. However, I love pizza, qualify pizza, and sometimes, some not so qualify pizza because pizza is pizza and pizza is life. I like blaze pizza. It's not Pasquale's in South county or Pizza Marvin, but it hits the spot. The meat and toppings could have been more flavorful. They had a whole slew of hot sauces to pick from though, so I went with the Melinda Peri Peri garlic sauce and it kicked up the flavor. Overall, points for creativity. I liked it, it has novelty, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get it again but if I was ever going for another bike ride with a small group i would entertain it for sure. All in all, for $14ish I was not disappointed. You do get your fill.

That's saying a lot because I have sampled many, many croissants. The Yum roll was melt-in-your- mouth delicious with the perfect balance of sweet with a hint of salt, crunchy around the edges and topped with a delightful creamy drizzle of caramel. The plain croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The almond square was pure heaven with a deep almond flavored frangipane surrounded by crunchy layers. The bakery itself is really cute. You can get a chance to meet the owner and gaze upon the glorious bounty of pastries available. You do have to subscribe to order so check out the Butterbang instagram.

It's a small pop-up style bakery with a cozy feel, perfect for grabbing pastries and a good coffee to start your morning or treat yourself mid-day. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the baking. It does get busy and certain items sell out, so going earlier is definitely a plus. Overall, a fantastic spot in Pawtucket for anyone who loves pastries, I'd happily recommend Butterbang to friends and visitors.

Barking Claw serves the best lobster roll in New England and, therefore, the world. You can find…read moreTom and his crew parked out front of Grumpy's Pub in Falmouth every day all summer, with additional appearances around town like the Beach Breeze on some evenings and the Falmouth bandshell for big events. No one else serves a spicy lobster roll like this, with tomatillo salsa and spicy mayonnaise mixed in with a generous serving of lobster meat on a butter toasted bun. Barking Claw's rolls are extremely affordable compared to most of the overpriced and forgettable lobster rolls you'll find elsewhere in the region, and, like an authentic cape lunch spot, they offer Cape Cod Potato Chips as an add-on. My family are diehard fans of Barking Claw, typically buying one of the first lobster rolls of the season and we're some of the last customers before the cold weather arrives. So we were delighted when Tom accepted our proposal to cater our rehearsal dinner in my parents' backyard in August. He set up in our driveway and he and his staff served our 50 guests all the spicy and regular lobster rolls they could handle, in addition to stuffed quahogs (a New England favorite) and a delicious selection of salads and side dishes we worked on together to come up with. He even found a way to include the previously retired salmon-bacon BLT sandwiches on the menu. Barking Claw has become a Cape Cod staple, so go see what all the hype is about!

A food stand, we were looking for something out of the norm of the lobster rolls you get…read moreeverywhere. We appreciated the creativity of the roll, you don't find a lot of places on the cape trying to be different. We were on the cape for the summer and wanted something different. This was the 6th lobster roll we tried during our summer. This is more like a stand that you would find at a festival. I knocked a star off for the setting. I've come across a lot of these food stands all over the US, and they try the make the best of their low budget location and try to make a cute outdoor seating experience. They have one picnic bench, and the some more seating at this random building right by with rusty chairs. Some folks like us traveled an hour from another place on the cape to try this roll, us Chatham. We aren't taking it home, and had to eat it there. Wasn't any effort made to have outdoor seating. No table settings, lights, streamers nothing. Just one park bench. The roll itself is good, not the best but good and creative. It isn't spicy at all, more like a ketchup mayo on top. The celery dressing, gave it a nice crunch. The lobster is pre-measured in saran wrap. I get that for controlling your cost, it's just a cheap look to watch. Just have a scale and measure there. We got the roll pretty quickly as there wasn't much of a line on a Saturday in July at 11:30. I appreciated the creativity. I think this place could be 5 star with some tweaks on the roll and the setting. I think they could even add some more unique rolls. I want to give it a 3, but I just can't with it being a small business. I think they are on to something that people want a unique approach to a lobster roll. Worth a try, but I wouldn't stress it at its current state.
