This casual restaurant is clean and warm. They have a pretty big menu of mainly sandwiches, chips, and flatbreads. The cashier/sandwich maker was friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable for what you're getting.

Chicken cholula sandwich

Great neighborhood place for sandwiches if you want a quick bite--fast & casual. There are not a lot of places to choose from in the complex, same as Walmart is located. Good menu selection--lots if choices and if sandwiches are not what you are craving, they also offer soups and salads. Order at the counter and they call your name when it's ready--it was pretty quick. We ordered the french dip and the chicken cholula--delicious & satisfying sandwiches. Plenty of meat on each sandwich. Definitely will come back if I'm in the neighborhood.

Clam Chowder Bread Bowl, assembled

5/2/2023 Sourdough & Co. 530 Showers Dr Ste 1 Mountain View, CA 94040 The store is in a strip mall next to the MTV Walmart, with lots of parking. They offer sandwiches, soup and salads. Although I ate there they have a good take out business. I had the Clam Chowder bread bowl which was very good. The bread was warm, dense and moist with a mild sour flavor, excellent bread. The chowder had finely minced clams so they weren't chewy and had a rich cream and clam flavor. I ordered at the counter and my bowl was brought to me shortly. Service was fast and efficient. Definitely repeatable for this kind of food.

2 slices of meat in a $15 sandwich? c'mon. do better. I can't believe they have the audacity to charge such high prices for that meager amount of substance.

The French Dip, Mac & Cheese

Went for Lunch Food - 4/5. Sourdough had good bite to them with nice ratio of crust to crumb. French dip had tender meat with extra umami added by the cheese and spread. Au jus had good beef flavor with just the right amount of saltiness. Mac & cheese was OK. Macaroni was on the softer side and the cheese sauce was very one note. The heavy flavor got overwhelming quickly and needed a stronger palate cleanser than the side of bread. Service - 4/5. Friendly service and food came out promptly. Value - 3/5. Prices are on the higher side with the french dip being $13 and a small mac & cheese $5.25. The prices themselves aren't extravagant given the area, but the portion sizes leaves much to be desired. Every item is a la carte and can add up quickly to make a full meal. Parking - Mall Lot (Free)

We also got the chili wontons & the garlic cucumbers. Our favorite items were hands down the wontons and the cucumbers. Both were incredibly flavorful & the wontons were so juicy! The braised beef chunks in the Mala spicy beef noodles were INCREDIBLE. I was a little jealous comparing it to the ground pork in my dry noodle bowl. All the noodles are made in-house and have a nice chew! The spicy ground pork noodles were yummy and I added chili oil (there is a condiment jar on every table when you dine in). I think I would order one of the braised beef soups next time since the meat is so good!

The bathrooms are gross. Beyond the grunge, the staff is downright rude. Seriously, at least pretend to like your job or your customers. Put on a fake smile and do your job. Not these guys. The food is pretty bad. The popcorn chicken was a generous portion but it has almost no flavor. The spicy wontons were just strange and chewy. The beef noodles were again cheap beef with chewy tasteless noodles. They provide seasonings at the table which we dumped in the food, but it really didn't help.

Def real crab. It was good. Japchae: small portion but tasty. They use like a wider flat noodle which I found interesting. The taste was basically the same as regular japchae but with a little elevation such as the nori as well. Wagyu galbi: was def tasty. Par for the course at premium kbbq restaurants A5 tofu soup: good and the beef quality is def better than what you find at most tofu soup spots but a5? I low-key feel it wasn't all that tender. It was good but I prob wouldn't get again mainly just due to I feel there were better dishes Seafood pancake: this was an interesting take on the seafood pancake. It kinda tastes like those shrimp cakes except there's other seafood in it as well but the main part is the shrimp cake. Was good and fairly interesting. Would def recommend at least trying once Overall, food was solid but dunno if I'd go all the way from San Jose and wait 40+ mins etc tho I wouldn't mind eating again if I was in the area

It just happened to be today that we got to go visit one and I was pleasantly surprised. From the quality and speed of the food to the prompt service, my visit exceeded my expectations. Firstly, their Signature Udon, it's not like anything I've ever experienced and it was great! That creaminess, that umami-ness, that well balanced saltiness, it was very good and I'd definitely get it again. My wife got the Tonkatsu Udon and that in itself was very good. It wasn't just replacing ramen with udon noodles, it was more to enhance and make it all work. We ordered a kids udon and the quality of the fried corn and multiple items prepared seemed thoughtful. We also ordered the Udon Meshi, which was good, but the other items shined. Service was great. Granted, we were the first in the door, but we were greeted by multiple wait staff and water level was always kept above half. The restaurant itself has great ambiance. Tables that seat many people comfortable and some tables that allow for a more romantic setting. Parking may get tricky, but a worthy spot to visit.

Breads are baked fresh in house and the menu offerings consist of: handcrafted sandwiches, soup, salads, flatbreads, and even has a kid's menu. Purchases: * HAM & TURKEY [on honey wheat bread] * PASTRAMI REUBEN [on sourdough] Sandwiches are made on sourdough bread by default and includes house spread, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard, & cheese. Customizations are welcome. Sandwiches were good and very filling. The only complaint on my end was the shredded lettuce that made for messy eating- I would have preferred whole leaves. Honey wheat isn't recommended if you plan on eating your sandwich later- this bread is softer and will become soggy quite quickly. 4 stars. The bread to protein ration is fair, food is tasty, and the staff was kind. I'd say this was a good first experience.

My daughter couldn't resist trying everything and her mix dry pot was over two pounds. She took leftovers home. I selected 4 beef rolls, half a tube of soft tofu, two shrimps with the head, two lobster/crab fish balls, two types of mushrooms, baby bok choy, broccoli, and achoy. It came up to 1 pound 4 ounces and I selected the tom yum soup. It was a little salty but delicious and more than enough for one meal. I dipped it in chili sauce for added spice. There was a spice center with different spices, green onions, & sauces. It is one pound minimum for $14.99 lb. I was super full. Next time, I would take half of it home. Service was great.
