I am writing to report a negative experience at your Mountain View location. On April 12, I called the store at approximately 7:50 PM, which was 10 minutes before closing time, but no one answered the phone. I then arrived at the location around 7:55 PM, and the employee was already locking everything and preparing to leave before the posted closing time. The following day ( Today April 13th ) I called the store to request information to speak with the owner or management regarding my concern. The employee refused to provide any information and stated that she was a "chief leader" and that there was nothing she could do because those were orders from the owner. I understand that employees may follow store policies, but closing early, not answering calls during business hours, and refusing to provide a proper way to escalate concerns is unprofessional and reflects poorly on your brand. This matter has also been forwarded to corporate for review. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and a follow-up from management regarding this experience. read more

I got an italian sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie via Doordash. The sandwich had a good amount of meat and the bread was fresh. It was a decent italian sandwich. The cookie was terrible. It was extremely greasy, so much that the bag it came in was soaked with grease. It was too salty and really didn't taste that good. I threw it away after a few bites. Great neighborhood place for sandwiches if you want a quick bite--fast & casual. There are not a lot of places to choose from in the complex, same as Walmart is located. Good menu selection--lots if choices and if sandwiches are not what you are craving, they also offer soups and salads. Order at the counter and they call your name when it's ready--it was pretty quick. We ordered the french dip and the chicken cholula--delicious & satisfying sandwiches. I've noticed bunch of these spots opening up lately, and the biz model - fresh baked sourdough bread. I actually came here because my first choice next door closed for lunch, and needed something quick so sourdough & co it was. I got one of their chicken crunch sandwiches, which is deli sliced chicken with some crushed tortilla chips for the crunch of their fresh sourdough bread. The sandwich took pretty long to complete, but I'm guessing it's because of the bread. While the bread is good, they need to cut out some of the middle because all the meat just slides out of the sandwich. It was a little underdone (which is the prob I had at another location) but I still finished it no problem. The flavors were good, but it definitely needed more sauce or mayo. I got a side of the veggie soup (that's me trying to be healthy), it was alright, just really salty. They come in 3 different sizes, and the middle size is plenty big. It's big enough for a solid appetite, and honestly there isn't a need for a side. I got full off the sandwich alone. This is one of those sandwiches that I'd eat if someone ordered it, but wouldn't necessarily go outta my way for. The proximity to the 24 hour fitness is probably why I'd end up here again, when I'm craving a post-workout sandwich. read more

First time my wife and I ate there I had the Smoked Brisket, and she had the crispy crunchy chicken sandwich it was great. The second time we ate there I had the French Dip and my wife had the crispy crunchy chicken sandwich again and it was great. The third time we ate there I had the smoked brisket again and my wife had the Buffalo Ranch Chicken and both sandwiches were terrible. The so called freshly cooked bread roll was really hard and difficult to chew. I asked them not to put barbecue sauce on the smoked brisket and they did anyway. Although I ate there they have a good take out business. I had the Clam Chowder bread bowl which was very good. The bread was warm, dense and moist with a mild sour flavor, excellent bread. The chowder had finely minced clams so they weren't chewy and had a rich cream and clam flavor. I ordered at the counter and my bowl was brought to me shortly. Service was fast and efficient. Went for Lunch Food - 4/5. Sourdough had good bite to them with nice ratio of crust to crumb. French dip had tender meat with extra umami added by the cheese and spread. Au jus had good beef flavor with just the right amount of saltiness. Mac & cheese was OK. Macaroni was on the softer side and the cheese sauce was very one note. The heavy flavor got overwhelming quickly and needed a stronger palate cleanser than the side of bread. Service - 4/5. Friendly service and food came out promptly. Value - 3/5. Prices are on the higher side with the french dip being $13 and a small mac & cheese $5.25. The prices themselves aren't extravagant given the area, but the portion sizes leaves much to be desired. Tried this spot out for the first time and it was amazing. My go-to sandwich at any sandwich shop is the pastrami. I tried it out and it was the most delicious thing ever! All sandwiches are made with sourdough bread (a game changer really!) and there's a sauce that just completes the sandwich. I ordered 2 6" pastrami sandwiches, mac & cheese kids meal (also very yummy) and 2 drinks totaling to about $47. The beef is so moist and tender, the sourdough bread is so soft and crunchy. You won't taste the sourness in the sourdough. Came here after running errands, ordered the Caprese sandwich, and wow. The bread is so so so good, and it had the perfect amount of cheese. First time customer, loved my experience overall and I'll come back. I ordered the Pastrami Reuben and it was really good. You come to a place like Sourdough. & Co for the bread... so let's talk about that. My sandwich roll was perfect. Not too dense, just soft enough, with a wonderful crispy crust, nice sour bite, and warm. Excellent! I'm tempted to go back for a soup in sourdough bowl next time. The rest of the sandwich was warm flavorful and juicy. Though I prefer my reubens to have a little more sauce. My coleslaw was fresh, crispy, but a little bland. Service was quick and friendly. After seeing a post which stated that they opened this week, I anticipated the chance to sample their food. Let me preface by saying: I like it! Sourdough & Co. is unique as a restaurant in that it offers some nice sandwiches and soups served with fresh sourdough bread. There is a lot of talk about the benefits of sourdough over typical bread. And, of course, sourdough bread has a local history. However, I liked this bread because it simply tastes great! The bread here is very good. It isn't too "sour" for a good sandwich or soup. I had the brisket sandwich. It was very good. By itself, it is worth a return visit! We also sampled some chili served with a bread bowl. Personally, I felt that this was so much tastier and fresher than the options sold at Boudin. The bread bowl and chili arrived hot! This is not Subway. This is more akin to a cross between Boudin (for sourdough) and something like a Jersey Mike's -- but with arguably better quality. I will certainly be back. PARKING: This is located off Showers Drive in Mountain View -- across the street from Target. It's located at the end of a suite center (a long building shared with Wingstop, The UPS Store, San Antonio Dental, Geico and a couple of other shops) located in the Wal-Mart shopping center. There is plenty of free parking. RESTAURANT: This is an attractive and clean restaurant. It has indoor seating. The employees were very attentive too. read more

Terrible service. Called to tell them I was surprised that my pesto sandwich had mayo on it because it wasn't listed on the menu. She told me I should have asked if the pesto had mayo. I told her it's not common if it just says pesto, which is usually basil and olive oil. She said I didn't ask if there was basil in it but knew so I should have known about the mayo. Out of all the sourdough & co, this is by far the worst one! The workers have never customer service experience, absolutely horrible at it! They always forget items in our order. Then when you call them to tell them the soup or sandwich was missing, there's nothing that can be done and that's when you can actually talk to someone live!! They can't refund you over the phone. They can't give you credit. You are out the money unless you drive back and have them remake it. We've been in there when music with swearing is playing, mind you we have small kids. Unfortunately one of the worst 50 dollars I spent on the smallest sandwich stuffed with very little meat-nothing like the advertised picture and way to much veggies. The "large" max and cheese is basically a cup plus 5 more macaronis. Veggie soup is the same everytime it would be hard to mess up. I've also ordered in the store before at the counter and while waiting for a Togo order I heard the manager or owner arguing with employees for everyone to see. I just picked up a sandwich at this place. As I was in hurry and need to get back to work, I took it to go. It was a caprese sandwich. Mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and balsamic vinegar. This is what it looked like when I unwrapped the sandwich when I got back to my office. Couldn't grab it without making a mess of everything. So muck balsamic vinegar you couldn't taste anything else. And what's with the lettuce. no basil at all unless it was in the sauce. Very unpleasant, needless to say I'm not going there again and I don't recommend it. Maybe their clam chowder is ok. In a sourdough bowl. But it lacks care. And the 6" sandwich is as 14.00 dollars.
