I absolutely love the sandwiches from Mendocino Farms. My go to is usually the prosciutto and chicken sandwich along with the basil pasta shells, amazing! They also usually have seasonal rotation of sandwiches and salads, which are always good. Mendocino Farms is on the pricier side however i'd say it's worth it once in a while. Hello, everyone in the South Peninsula, especially those in the Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Menlo Park, and Redwood City areas! If you're looking for a great lunch spot, this is the place to go. Located right in The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View, it's near the Hyatt Centric hotel, across the village park, and close to Il Fornaio, The Breakfast Club, and Pacific Catch, right on the corner by Mendocino Farms. I can't recommend their sandwiches and salads enough; they are fantastic! They must put something special in their food because it's outstanding--absolutely delicious. This location is nice, quiet, spacious, and friendly, at least for now. I visited the one in Redwood Shores and was disappointed. Sorry, but while the staff was nice, the space was far too small. In contrast, this place is the opposite. The Mendocino Farms in downtown Palo Alto on Hamilton is good too, but it feels a bit too bustling for my taste. This was my second time visiting this location and I had great experiences both times. The interior is nice and spacious with lots of natural sunlight. Indoor seating is pretty limited and fills up quick during lunch hours but there is outdoor seating available on their patio as well. Workers are friendly and service was good especially considering how busy they were. I ordered the Farmhouse Ranch Salad with chicken and I have to say, it was probably one of the best salads I've had. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and the Tuscan krispies give it a nice crunch with every bite. 10/10 would definitely recommend! I do have to note though that the parking situation can be difficult especially during lunch hours so don't be surprised if you find yourself circling the parking lot for a spot. read more

Look the food for this Mendo is just as good as the others but I'm knocking it down a star due to the takeout experience. No matter what time I order, when I show up at the designated time my order isn't ready. They are a victim of their success -- there are alway large orders from companies in front of me. When I say large orders, I mean 20 or more items. Occasionally a manager will notice that I've been waiting a long time and ask one of the staff to make my 1 or 2 item order. That's very good customer service but doesn't make up for the fact that you have to wait. It's also very difficult to park here. It wouldn't be so bad if you were eating here (no one ever does apparently) but I see take out people double park and park in fire lanes. A zoo. One other small issue here is they seem to have trouble with gluten free bread -- I've never had any issues with any other location but here they've had to remake it twice. It's one thing to be busy but it's another to be disorganized. busy is great and with an organized management team ; today's situation while frustrating could have been manageable. . It was just a crap show ! I ordered online and my food was nearly 30 minutes late ! On top of that , not sure if the pork sandwich was suppose to be warm but it was cold to the touch . Apparently it was sitting there for a while . The management was not helpful and obviously had no control of the situation . No transparency or customer service . Mendocino Farms is clean and modern, like all the newly developed buildings around. Adam R gave us excellent service by explaining the menu when we came in and then went above and beyond on a holiday. This location has plenty of outdoor seating, and tables are spread out. The Mountain View Mendocino's Farm is a popular location in a chain in the San Antonio complex where there is plenty of seating and restaurant to choose from, but we still ended up going to Mendocino Farms. The ambiance with so much seating and barely anyone there for dinner(I think it is more busy during lunch) it was the perfect spot to eat. The menu had lots of veggie options which was perfect for my vegetarian mom and the food seemed really fresh. We ordered a Guava Lemonade, Tomato Soup, Chimichurri Steak and Bacon Sandwich, and The Modern Caesar Salad! Starting with our bev. The guava lemonade was really good. It tasted super fresh and you could even feel some guava seeds at the bottom of the drink. It was tart and refreshing and they filled our drink to the brim. The Chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich was also quality. The Chimichurri was oddly really sweet and the steak was a little tough, but the dish still tasted amazing with all of its elements( the bacon, the sauces, and the roll). The salad though I wasn't able to try was also really good with little crunchies that were unique. It didn't seem like anything special, but the ingredients all looked fresh and delicious. The tomato soup pasty was subpar. There was no wow factor it was just plain tomato soup. There didn't seem to be any salt added so the soup was kind of sweet and sour which I didn't enjoy however with some bread it tasted a lot better. Overall, Mendocino Farms for its affordability(all of the dishes and drinks I described ended up being $45), pretty good tasting food, and great ambiance I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and hope to come again. read more

She made sure to bring our food to us and spent time to introduce herself and get to know us better. Mendocino Farms has been one of our happiest dining spots in the Bay Area. We used to stop at the locations in the city or San Mateo. However, they've now opened different locations closer to home now -- and all around the peninsula and South Bay. I was kind of surprised when this Mountain View location opened. After all, it is just a few miles from the downtown Palo Alto location. Still, I'm glad that it opened. It is easy to find, easy to park and quite welcoming in this newer development off San Antonio Rd (across from Hyatt Centric Mountain View). The restaurant is very open and clean. It has ample seating both indoors and outside. The restaurant staff is very patient and helpful. They are very friendly and eager to please. Of course, the food is just what you would expect from Mendocino Farms. It is quite farm-to-kitchen-to-table fresh, wholesome and delicious. In fact, I'm not sure that you could find a more inspiring artisan sandwich anywhere in the Bay Area. The prices are amazing too -- especially considering the quality of the food and service. There always seems to be plenty of free parking in this area. If it is difficult to find an open spot, the free parking garage located just a block away always has plenty of open spaces -- even on the ground floor. This is a great spot if you've been hoping to try something from Mendocino Farms without actually traveling up the Pacific coast to Mendocino. The sandwiches, salads and soups are great!
