My bf was feeling hungry and I didn't want anything so he decided to have something quick. We checked to see what was around our hotel and we saw this place that seemed to be new. We had never been to any of the locations for this chain so we had no expectations. They are located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The location was decorated really nice and it had a very welcoming vibe. They had some very unique seating areas with traditional ones as well. They share space with a coffee shop. You order at the counter and take to your table. In this case, we were tired and just wanting to go back to our hotel room so he had it to go. While we waited, we noticed that the soups are kept in the heating pots all day and they looked lumpy which we were glad we didn't order because we almost did. The sandwich took a surprisingly long time for being just a sandwich. He got a pesto chicken something sandwich. It was a good size, but once in the room and when he opened it, he was disappointed for the amount of mayo it had. It was a LOT of mayo and no pesto. Based on this experience, we are not looking forward to return. We might give a different location a chance, but not this one. read more

I finally ventured inside to discover a large dining area with a cool industrial design vibe. Comfortable setting for dining solo or meeting a friend. Order at the counter from a wide selection of salads, sandwiches, and soups that come in 3 sizes. The large space is shared with Nick's roasting company. It's the freshly baked sourdough that keeps me coming back. Now I visit once a week for lunch while doing my errand's loop. The food here a is god-awful s***show. I get that the staff behind the counter are all teenagers, but someone, somewhere HAS to be in charge of training..?? This was my 3rd attempt to find something likeable here but the flatbreads are definitely not it. BBQ Chicken Flatbread was completely inedible--barley warmed through (the cheese on top was melted but the chicken and sauce underneath were cold), the flatbread itself was a soggy, disgusting mess, and I am left with nothing but the chicken pieces I picked off to eat because I refuse to throw an animal in the trash, even when it is this terribly disrespected. So I paid $18 (including tax and tip) to eat about 3oz of sad, rubbery chicken. They do a great job with just the bread itself and I have bought whole baguettes on several occasions, but I've also had lackluster experiences with both the sandwiches (no filling, skimpy on the toppings) and the chowder (completely underseasoned with no discernible clam flavor). It seems almost impossible for a chain charging $$$ for deli sandwiches to serve food this badly prepared, but tasting (3 times) is truly believing. What a disappointing waste of money. read more

Tried it. OK if you want shredded lettuce, tomato and house sauce on _everything_. Was hankering a good pastrami & swiss. Which typically is just pastrami, swiss, mustard and dill pickle. With the added L/T/Sauce, the flavors just didn't work for me. Also, tried the brisket sando...with the added L/T/Sauce...also a miss. the flavors didn't mesh with the BBQ sauce. Surprisingly good! We stopped in for lunch because we were tired of all the other chains. It turns out this is a chain, but new to us. I had the French dip sandwich. Nothing else where I would normally add the fries. Just the sandwich, with a pickle. At first, I found the au jus to be a bit tasteless, but two packets of the Cholula from the condiment counter really spiced it up. The sourdough baguette was deliciously crunchy, yet moist and flavorful. The beef was seasoned nicely from whatever it was cooked in ( the au jus)? I have a big appetite, but the six-inch was just right. A tasty sandwich. I could talk about prices, but informal lunch for two just can't be had for under $30 anymore. I would strongly caution anyone thinking about eating here. I ordered a turkey sandwich and almost immediately after eating it I became extremely sick. Within a short period of time I had severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and repeated vomiting. I spent the entire rest of the day dealing with what felt like full-blown food poisoning. Food safety should be the absolute bare minimum for any place serving food, and based on my experience something clearly went very wrong. Getting violently ill shortly after eating here is unacceptable and honestly alarming. This was one of the worst food-related experiences I've ever had. I will absolutely never be coming back, and I hope the management seriously looks into their food handling and storage practices before more people get sick. read more

I ordered a Cesar salad wrap this time with a mint chocolate chip shake - you really can't go wrong with any of their food items and the pricing is amazing, a medium shake is $8.65 yet their medium size is like a large so you really get your moneys worth. Angela is such a great manager and her crew is amazing, their service is always on point. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask they are always willing to help. Yikes. Went in for the first time today, at about 5:15pm. No one was in the place except workers, who were all seated or chatting. Not knowing exactly what to do I went up to the counter and a young girl looked at me half panicked. While I was looking at the board she went over and got what (seemed like) the manager from behind a laptop at a side table. The lady seemed SUPER annoyed. Mumbled something in a rude way (not towards me per se) about some guy on break and not telling her. Ok.... So she walks over to the counter and still seems annoyed. To the point where it made me uncomfortable and she asked if I was ready and I said "I'm sorry to bother you... I can leave..." and she was like no, what can I get you? Very gruff. So I order but it was just generally unpleasant. Then she stands back and the young girl starts making my sandwich. The manager lady barks at the poor girl about putting mustard on both sides of the bread if they're only getting one condiment.... Blah blah. Ok, now I am an HR Director so I get training new employees and I can see what really occurred at every step of the way of my interactions. Staff not communicating, new employees, etc. But the experience was terrible. I feel awful for the poor young girl. She was kind. The dark hair older lady, perhaps of Indian descent was enough to make me never come back. And I live about 4 blocks away. I'll stick with Genova across town I guess. If she's not an owner - get rid of her. If she is an owner, lord help you. read more

Have ordered from this restaurant many times on the weekend they get a little busy but the quality of the sandwich and the way the manager runs the store. Ensures quality arrives at your house. I actually called the store, commend them about the quality and attention to the smallest detail to give you at the same sandwich, as if you sat down in the restaurant. I run the Pick N Pull in american Canyon and I have bought multiple times sandwiches for my team from this location. If you want quality, consistency, and downright a great sandwich this is a one stop shop. Went yesterday for the first time and I ordered the Crunchy Chicken Sandwich with potato soup and Sweetened Iced Tea & a White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie. First the ordering process was easy and the Customer Service was great. The food may have taken between 10 & 15 minutes but in all fairness it was around noon during the lunch crowd. Now, the sandwich was delicious! I especially love the bits that gave it the "crunch." The soup, to my dismay, contained bacon, which I don't eat and had to find out the hard way! I wish restaurants were better at labeling! Also the potatoes were flavorless & too al dente for my taste! However they were nice enough to exchange it for the Tomato Soup and it was delicious! including the sourdough pieces that come with it. The Soscol location just soft opened and I'm glad it did! We loved it so much that we forgot to snap pics! There is a Nick's Coffee Roasters also inside the location. We shared the Smoked Brisket and the Crispy Crunchy Chicken Specialty Sandwich's on their truly amazing sourdough rolls! Both prepared to perfection and we also split a bowl of macaroni and cheese which comes with 4 slices of their signature sourdough.Yum and Fantastic!
